She has a warm, friendly, down to earth demeanor and it's clear how much she cares. The are just a few small examples of many but are a huge part of my satisfaction with the care I receive. She is a valuable asset to the practice and deserves to be recognized as such.

I called the office nobody answers the phone. Ad to that, I had to Uber to this appointment because I did not have a driver available, So now I am sitting outside another office in the smoking area because it's about to rain and there is nowhere to sit and stay dry and my car is at home. This by far is the most unprofessional practice. The entire staff goes to lunch at the same time. Why require patients to be early when the office is clearly closed.

She checked in and was given her paperwork to complete, and was called back within 8 minutes. There was supposed to be a small procedure done but she was advised they didn't have the device so she'd have to schedule another appointment. My issue is why if they knew the device wasn't available, why not call and reschedule with the patient?? Other than that, the appointment went fine. I was warmly greeted by the 2 ladies at the front desk. They have the front area nicely decorated for summer. When I see happy decor it always puts a smile on my face. The waiting room was very nice also. I had a very short wait until I was called back for the preliminary stuff. The nurse, whose name I forgot, was amazing. We had a good conversation and shared a few laughs. This also helped keep me calm before the dreaded exam. Next I was called to De. Pascioni's office. She was so warm and cheerful. She took her time and explained different things with me and wrote info down for me. The exam was so quick and thorough that I didn't even feel like anything took place. Everyone acted as though we had been friends for year, with a professional side of course. If I could give them a 10 I would.

6/22/2020 This is my second visit with Dr. Harris-Proctor…read more She's simply amazing! First visit in 6/18/2020. Dr. Harris-Proctor is a beautiful person! She's smart, kind, patient, great listener, compassionate, professional, knowledgeable, respectful, gentle, empathetic, honest, sweet...I can go on and on! She is really (sincerely) interested in your/my health concerns, feelings/emotions, and wants to truly know how you feel. Dr. Harris-Proctor does not rush the appointment. She takes her time to discuss matters with you. It seems that she does not want her patients to leave her office confused or with unanswered questions. I love her!!!! I wasn't excited about coming to the dr (but, again who is?!). I've been needing to find new doctors and found Dr. Harris-Proctor online during an internet search. I thought about the qualities that I need and want in a dr and she matched them all! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND Dr. Harris-Proctor and her nurse (Nurse Dianne)!! They are fabulous! Quick review of the office (building, parking, reception area, exam rooms, reception desk, and corridors): it's clean, smells fresh, and very comfortable. Tons of parking. Staff are friendly and kind. The ultrasound nurse (Amy) was/is so sweet and gentle (as much as she can be). I wanted to give 4.5 but I don't know how. Why?? Well, there is a bit of a waiting time and that is because of the time they take to care for each patient. So, please don't be in a rush. Bring a book or be the first patient.

I'm on Medicare & have a Supplemental that pays everything that Medicare doesn't. When calling about the bill, I learned that TPW had become a division of Mid-Atlantic Women's Care. The new corporation totally changed everything about the operational aspects of the company, They required a total examination, whether one needed it or just came for a minor testing. Patients on Medicare were expected to pay the full amount out of pocket. Both my doctor and I appealed to the office manager that neither of us knew of the change. The front desk person who checked me in also wasn't fully aware of the change. The office manager appealed to their new corporate and assured me that they would offer a credit, since neither I or my doctor were aware of the change, But the bills continued to come, I finally gave up on their making good on the promise and paid the bill. This year when my appointment time was near I received a letter indicating the cost. A signatory of confirmation was required. I canceled the appointment, The acquisition of TPW by Mid-Atlantic Women's Care has ruined the practice for older women. I'm sure for young or middle aged women it's still a wonderful practice. Just no longer for me. I will miss Dr. Bertolino's wonderful level of care,

I was the first to review here in 2013 and then did the BRCA test, was positive for a deleterious…read moremutation, and was referred to a specialist and stopped coming here shortly thereafter. Last year, I became pregnant and came back for my obstetric care. I'm over 35 so there was a lot of testing, blood tests, ultrasounds, and referrals to EVMS for special screenings but they handled it all with care and made it fairly easy. I've seen most of the physicians here, as a group, they prefer to rotate you around to everyone so that you hopefully have seen all the doctors who may be on call when you go into labor. Still, you will likely click with one and try to stick with that one if you can. My original doctor, Fontanares, was wonderful, but retired from deliveries at around my 4th month and passed me on to Dr. Sarah Murphy who she said she knew I would love. She was right. I saw her for the remainder and is the Dr. who ultimately delivered my baby girl at Sentara Leigh. I also liked Dr. Connor and Dr. Arbogast but really clicked with Dr. Murphy who is younger, recently had a baby herself, and is very healthy and active. We bonded over both being runners while we were pregnant and staying active late into the third trimester. Dr. Murphy is a D.O. instead of an M.D. If you're like me, you don't know the difference. This means she is a medical doctor with similar practice and education as an M.D. but is doctor of Osteopathic Medicine - meaning the main difference is a more holistic mind/body overall approach to care of patients instead of the M.D. more treat the illness type of approach. Ok, sign me right up! That's exactly what I wanted for my pregnancy/delivery experience and is just what I received. I 100% had the delivery that I wanted. I wanted to remain active, wear a wireless heart monitor for the baby, walk around, wait to get the epidural and stay informed and make choices the entire way. We worked on a plan for induction and scheduled it for a day she was on call. Luckily, my induction/labor only lasted 12 hours and I delivered at 3:49am when her shift was ending at around 8am! We pulled it off. I feel grateful to have had her as my physician for perhaps the biggest medical event of any woman's life - she was a real gem who treated me with respect and as a partner in this event. She listened to me, made sure I was heard, took the time to answer all questions, is very personable and down to earth, everything I wanted. I've heard so many horror stories that I wanted to share a very positive birth experience and positive experience with this practice! I'm sad that I will likely not see her again as I see an oncologist for BRCA/Cancer screening but, if I am released, I will come back!

Me leaving said gyno office: *calls husband* "Ohmygod listen to how wonderful the guy who just examined my vagina is!!" Y'all, his name is Dr. Williams, and he is an extraordinary, hilarious, very friendly, very kind, good listening, upright-bass playing in a jazz band, biologist, obstetrician/gynecologist, professor of biology, did I mention hilarious, wise, wonderful man. If any of my lady friends in the area have also had to search for a new gynecologist due to so many in the area no longer accepting Anthem insurance, just go see Dr. Williams at Chesapeake Regional Gynecology and Obstetrics. You will not be sorry. After all the new patient paperwork, I did not have to wait long and for the first time during any pap smear I laughed more than I cringed.:-) This was after he spent 15 minutes getting to know me, his new patient, in his office... Asking the right questions, listening to my concerns. A kind female nurse was also present for the exam.
