After trying to contact multiple different chimney service companies for the last month, we were so…read morehappy when Pinckletink returned our phone call for a request. We had reached out to three other companies, two of which we never even heard back from and one who said they wouldn't come this far out to our house (only a town or two over.) We were in desperate need of a chimney sweep and inspection. The woman who returned my call was extremely friendly and knowledgeable and got us booked with an appointment for the following week on a Monday morning! The two gentlemen who showed up to our home were very nice, professional, and knowledgeable. They went right to work and seemed to have everything taken care of in not talk much time. Although I wish the results of our chimney inspection were better (thanks previous owners of the house), the inspection was thorough and seemed reasonably priced. The young gentleman who gave me the results of our inspection was actually the owner of the company and said they would be emailing over photos of the complete inspection along with an estimate for any repairs we would need to have done before potentially installing a wood stove. If you're in the need of any chimney servicing, I highly suggest Pinckletink. Friendly, professional, and knowledgeable!

They leave the job site cleaner than it was when they arrived and have just an amazing group of people. We had an emergency situation this spring and Aaron was at our house the same day that I called him. It was a difficult removal that required a crane and they got it scheduled and completed within a couple of weeks. They've removed about 25 trees, as well as done trimming, and we couldn't be happier with their work! Highly recommend Webster!

Most recently, about 2 years ago they came in and took out 3 huge hemlocks on the far side of the property to open up the sky for more sun to the pool area, lawn and gardens. That was a major job, and they came back and ground down the stumps too. All very well done! This week it was for very tall, old, hard woods blocking light to the front yard, gardens and pool area. They got it all done in one day, including moving and cutting the hardwood to 16" lengths for the wood stove, and are available for hire to come back and help us with running the wood splitter since w're getting kind of old for that sort of thing! We love Webster Tree, Aaron and all the crew are always super great! I remember when we first had them in, I would thank Steve Webster, and he'd get that twinkle in his eye and say "That's all we do!" with a smile.

Not only were we not asked if we had any questions, but she stood there and stared at us as we looked at one of the houses. She acted like we were thieves or vandals and never considered that we might be customers. She followed us out and never said a word. She then went in to check the house we had just been in, as though we may have done something wrong. My sister and I were seriously offended and couldn't believe she didn't even acknowledge us as she followed us through your show homes. My sister is shopping for a home, and we have visited many other show lots and have never been followed or treated in such a manner. We are both incredibly unimpressed and will let all of our home-shopping friends and family know about the experience we had there.

The Hearth Doctor had one job: install a fireplace. They failed at every turn…read more They claim they went "above and beyond." The photos show otherwise. We've owned and renovated three homes, and this was by far the worst experience we've ever had with any company. We hired Hearth Doctor to install a Renaissance 600 fireplace--a pricey, complex unit--and they botched it from start to finish. Safety ignored: They skipped a required radiation shield and told me to stuff insulation against the chimney pipe--an outright fire hazard. Only after I contacted the manufacturer did they reluctantly fix it, which meant removing a chimney already mounted two stories up. Timeline blown: A 2-day job dragged into 3.5 months, with constant delays and misinformation to my contractor. Poor workmanship: They mis-measured, forced rebuilds, denied necessary vents (later confirmed essential by the manufacturer), installed the unit with a broken door, then crudely bent the keyhole instead of replacing it. Finally, the fireplace was left visibly off-level, making finishing work nearly impossible. No accountability: Across six visits between June and September, I never received an apology. When I asked for a discount, they brushed me off, insisting they'd provided a "safe, functional, professional installation" that went "above and beyond" If this is their idea of "above and beyond," I shudder to think what "average" looks like. Bottom line: unsafe, sloppy, unprofessional. Save yourself the grief--do not hire this company.
