Literally everyone in this place has an active and positive attitude. When you walk in, the administrative staff are immediately routing you and with a positive demeanor. They are simply charming. And then you get to your room on time, and the staff who attend to you have an amazing bedside manner. They are overtly compassionate, extremely accommodating and you feel like you are the most important patient ever, even for a routine checkup. Dr. Bryan Carroll is an amazing doctor - very friendly, very compassionate and supportive and also has a light candor and sense of humor that make him a perfect doctor to have to see. I highly recommend this place. My only regret is that they are not a general practitioner. I could get used to this place more often.

She didn't introduce herself or tell me her level of training: nurse or MA? Then provider saw me without looking at my medical history or medication list, which is extensive, then looked at my skin and made a diagnosis and determined a treatment plan without regard to asking me to explain what all I have tried in the past. Again, I didn't feel heard or like my opinion mattered from another doctor because of stigmatization against my mental illness. Please do not go see this provider's office. They give out medication without regard to what possible interaction between them there could happen. Received phone call from office manager explaining how it is possible for providers to pull information from previously seen providers and previously used pharmacy. I didn't know this to be a possibility. I do wish he would have verified the information he had seen on those records with me. Just because I have a prescription doesn't mean I take that medicine.

I waited 40 minutes with no updates and never heard the doctor's voice outside visiting other patients, so finally stuck my head out the door and asked for a nurse to see what was going on. They apologized but said he had been in his office with the door shut on a phone call and wouldn't answer their texts, and they weren't sure when he would be out. Well, I'm in the middle of my workday too and couldn't gamble on him deciding when to honor his patient's time, so I just asked for them to refund my money. Keep in mind, they charge you in advance for your appointment when you walk in the door and have a no-show cancellation fee within 24 hours, but then he apparently doesn't mind no-showing on his own patients that have already arrived...frustrating. They did, however, refund my money. Again, the staff was very friendly, but the office was also near dead - the waiting room was completely empty, so it wasn't an overscheduling issue - just a lack of regard issue. To be fair, this was my second visit and the first was fine...nothing great, nothing bad. His assistants are great, but it was unacceptable for a professional.

Saw Dr Charles in March for new patient visit. I was told that Dr Malouf only handles cosmetic…read moredermatology and would not be seeing me. As a long time sufferer of my condition I requested to be put on a new medication, which she said I was a good candidate for, but that I would need specific labs done to get the process started. The very same day, I scheduled and paid for the independent lab services who send the results to the requesting clinic (Dr Charles office). Wait for my follow up appointment for two months. Second visit two months later, I arrive and am told Dr Charles is no longer with the practice, that they had no idea about the treatment plan discussed, that they don't have a dermatologist at that location who can handle the specific treatment plan and that I could schedule a new appt with a different derm all the way in Cleburne. They said they didn't even have my lab results and would have to request it from the diagnostic lab I went to. This all could have been a phone call. Not only am I having to leave work early to make this appointment, but the appointment is completely fruitless as it is essentially a rescheduling discussion that I am surely going to be billed for as an "office visit". Pardon me if I don't trust your practice or any of your referrals after this. There is obviously very poor communication even in terms of something so simple as patient medical notes. There is also clearly a lack of value for a person's time and money. The woman who did "see" me did leave me a voicemail shortly after the visit to "discuss the lab results" that had been sent to them back in March, however as I will be finding a different practice to handle my needs this was pointless. Not sure I even trust whatever she had to "explain" considering she couldn't even properly say the name of the medication I had been asking after. Perhaps this location will serve you well if your dermatology needs are purely cosmetic, which seems to be their specialty, but look elsewhere if you have a need for a medical dermatologist, especially one who values your time and business. There are plenty of options.

After the first visit, they sent the infection to the lab and someone in the office called and told me I had a staff infection in the cyst and needed a different antibiotic than the original prescription. This was worrisome because I spent 10 days in the hospital with a staff infection in high school. Upon my follow up the doctor told me it was not staff but that the infection was still there despite a round of two different antibiotics. I went in for my third visit to see why the cyst was still swollen and red and the receptionist told me that they needed to have a credit card on file in order to see me (they had asked me this on the second visit as well and I declined). I said they could not have my credit card on file bc then I had to monitor it in case they billed me for anything. In addition, if that information was stolen I would have another headache. She then informed me that I had a balance due from my last visit. I told her I had paid that bill three weeks ago. She responded that maybe they just hadn't been updated yet. Then I said that's the exact reason why I don't want you to have my credit card on file -- you could charge me and just say you hadn't heard from the billing company. They said I could keep a $100 deposit on file which they could not tell me when I would get that back. I declined that as well and I was not allowed to see the doctor. I get it, my father was a doctor and they don't want no-shows or people who don't pay their bills. They are trying to protect themselves. But they were much more worried about pushing me through their processes and getting their money than my care. This whole experience was a great example of how far health care has fallen-- terrible service and just trying to push as many people through the funnel as they can. I can't imagine running a service business with something as important as people's health in this way.

My husband recently did the blue light treatment and his procedure did not turn out well, it did not work. I attempted to do the treatment as well, and it gently worked. I had used Dr. Christine Brown in Dallas as my forever dermatologist as I was living in Waxahachie However, my husband died and I relocated and needed to find a new dermatologist for beauty and skin care and stumbled onto Warthan. The results of my blue light this week was as if I had just spent the weekend tanning on the beach. It did not work as the one that I had 20 years ago under Dr. Christine Brown my face peeled and shed a complete layer. I'm really afraid they are not using the correct medicine or machine or are not doing the pre-treatment correctly. Dr. Amelia is cute with her headband and she does answer questions politely but I really need a Dr. Frankenstein when I'm fighting my age and needing an aggressive Dr. to help try every beauty product and procedure available. I called and left a message with the nurse to try to discuss why my face is not peeling and that the procedure did not work but no return call. I believe I will try to see Dr. Warthan next time and see if changing physicians might give me better results. Online the location and the Receptionist just not the results.

All of the warnings listed here by other reviewers are true. The billing practices at Warthan dermatology are unethical (for an easy example, I was charged for a 2-3 minute phone call to receive test results). I work in the medical field myself, and it is clear to me that Warthan Dermatology only cares about making money. I have reached out multiple times (via phone calls, voicemails, emails) for months trying to get justifications from their office, and I have not received a single response. Even outside of their unjust billing practices and poor management, I was still completely disappointed in my care at Warthan. I had to have a lesion further biopsied, and I only chose to come here due to appointment availability. I wish I went where my dermatologist had recommended instead. Inappropriate comments were made during the procedure that made me very uncomfortable (I won't repeat here). I also could not see what was happening since I had to lay on my stomach, and a very LARGE amount of tissue was removed for a very TINY lesion. I did not consent to having something of this size removed, and I now have a terribly large and ugly scar. It is insanely embarrassing. My original dermatologist was also shocked by the size of the tissue taken, and she agreed it was not medically necessary. I wholeheartedly regret coming here.
