I do not like to give reviews until I have tested the piano with a long term…read moreanalysis. Often, the piano does not hold the tuning or it takes awhile to determine if the tuning was suitable. In the case of my piano, the treble keys were not tuned sufficiently to maintain the effort. Initially, I had to request that the treble(highest) keys be tuned because the tuner tried to skip this important step. The middle keys were tuned well as he focused on them. The bass keys have held their tuning. I play all over the piano, so it is very important that each area is tuned to synchronize with the other. I cannot say this happened as the treble (highest) keys have not held their pitch and the bass is out there on its own! The outcome is that the piano needs re-tuning now but I will not use the same provider.

I came in expecting to spend some time with some beautiful pianos and get to experience playing and trying some out, but was constantly berated by a particular staff member who was actively trying to get me to stop playing the pianos, asking me if I had an appointment and verbally telling me to stop playing for a minute. He then insulted my financial status by suggesting something in a lower price range. Eventually he came up with some story "We have appointments with customers in the next 5 minutes, so if you could wrap it up here, that would be great." He interrupted my playing numerous times and slyly kicked me out of the store and was a complete asshat! People like this make the world of music less enjoyable for all. Music is meant to be spread and rejoiced by everyone, not gatekeeped by snobs. The one star in this review is for the pianos only. It truly is tragic that these beautiful instruments must sit under the same roof as these rotten people.

I spent a couple of days looking for a piano tuner who seems to have a lot of experience and within my price range and location. I contacted him from his website and he emailed me back within a day. Compared to all the other I contacted, he was very quick. I believed that my piano was extremely bad and needed repairs so we made a two appointment days in case we needed the second day. He came in and quickly gave me a quote which was a lot lower then I expected from his website's price listing and we didn't need a second day. While he was working on the piano, he explained to me a couple of his instruments about what they are and used for. He also told me about worse case scenarios (string breaking) and what the aftermath would be. He was here for a few hours (2-3). He was very respectful and kind. My dog liked him too. :)
