He is an excellent communicator as well, laying out the exact plan for each day of work and giving us detailed advice on how to maintain our floors. We are thrilled with the results and would recommend him for anyone who needs flooring work.

Since I only needed a small quantity, I was hoping to find leftover materials from someone's project. That's when I came across Project Floors' post about having remnant pieces available, so I decided to stop by--and I'm so glad I did! From the moment I walked into the store, I could tell this was a special place. The space has a great vibe, with amazing art and aesthetics that reflect a true appreciation for design and quality. To me, that's always a good sign--it shows that the people behind the business genuinely care about their work. Matt was incredibly helpful throughout the entire process. Not only did he help me find the perfect flooring (in a very cool color-way called 'seashell'), but he also gave me valuable tips on how to install it myself. He even went the extra mile by helping me source the necessary tools and materials to get the job done right. Compared to big-box flooring stores, Project Floors offers a truly personal, human experience--something that's becoming rare in today's consumer-driven world. I'll be telling everyone I know about this awesome company. Thanks, Matt!

His estimate was very good, and he and two of his three brothers, Viktor and Dimitri came to do the work along with David, who we called "a brother from another mother" as he was just like another family member with them! They joked and enjoyed some music as they worked and each knew exactly what they needed to do. They finished the work a little ahead of time and the completed job was most excellent! We would have them back in a heartbeat as their work was so precise and well done! David did a fantastic job of placing and taping plastic over the bed, over the clothes on the higher rods in the closet, over the sink areas in the bathroom, etc. so that they all stayed dust free. We were so very impressed by the quality of their work that we gave them a tip!

I was sad, dejected and overwhelmed by the prospect of such a large project. I went to Portland Floor after reading positive reviews, and I was not disappointed! Ryan and Zach were just so wonderful in terms of picking out new flooring that would match the style. Zach came out and measured the area among the chaos of the demolition. He also offered great advice on the flooring he thought would look good. He was personable, easy to talk to and never pushy. (Enjoy baby girl Zach!) Ryan is clearly an expert in his craft and understood the levels of subfloor and floor as well as how it integrated with the tile. After my interactions with this team, I felt rejuvenated and actually excited for the result! Thank you both for your high quality support, attention to detail, knowledge and overall excellence! We visited the store several times with lots of questions, and he answered every one of them patiently and pleasantly. We picked out our carpet and tile and arranged installation. Ron made a measuring error on the carpet order, but as soon as he caught it, he owned it and fixed it right away. The carpet installers were quick, efficient, and polite. The tile work turned out beautiful, genuinely great craftsmanship. What really stood out, though, was this: when we got the estimate for the carpet installed, we couldn't afford it. We told Ron we'd come back and pick something cheaper. He said, "No, don't bother, I'll talk to my supervisor and get you a discount so you can have the carpet you actually like." And he did. Overall, a great experience from start to finish, and we love the results.

It involved not only sanding and refinishing, but leveling the kitchen floors and lacing in new wood with the old in multiple places, several patches, installing all new baseboards, and some creative problem-solving to work the quarter round around the floor vents. He also built a new cover for my crawl space entry to match the flooring around it. Throughout the job, Mike was responsive, friendly, patient, respectful, and worked with a high level of integrity and transparency. He was genuinely fantastic to work with - I never felt like I was being brushed off or taken advantage of (as opposed to some other contractors I've encountered).
