We decided to pay a little bit more to have the two rooms done on different days, so that we would have space to move furniture one room at a time, avoiding having to haul anything up and down stairs. During the decision making process, we quickly got our terminology worked out, so we could be sure both parties knew which room was which for estimates and for scheduling.
