This was quite possibly one of the best haircuts I've had. This was quite possibly one of the best haircuts I've had. Both Robert and Miguel were there, but Miguel cut my hair. Miguel was very attentive to my preferences and what I wanted in a haircut. He also had a keen sense and attention to detail and cut the hair exactly the way I wanted it. The haircut also came with a classic barber shave, yes, the classic barber shave with the warm shaving cream and a straight blade - nothing like it. For those of you who haven't tried this yet I'd highly recommended. No haircut will be the same after this. I'll be coming back here again and hope to see both Robert and Miguel. Men's haircuts start at $18 which is admittedly on the high-end but I would say the service is definitely more than worth it. read more

As with all barbershops in the Framingham/ Natick area, they go out of business fairly quick. I used to like this shop when it first opened a year ago. After my visit today, I will no longer be going here. I called on a Wednesday to make an appointment for a Saturday morning cut and hot towel shave. And I specifically asked for Rob. When I got there, Rob greeted me and said that Steve (new guy) will do my haircut. I wasn't even asked if I wanted to or not. Next thing, they had booked another Sam at the same time so the new guy passed me over to Rob for the shave after he was done giving me a rushed haircut. The haircut was decent and the hot towel shave was ok too. My biggest complaint is the PRICE HIKE!!! I was here two months ago and a cut was $15. Today my bill hit $35 for a cut and a shave?? Price for the haircut went from $15-$18 and hot towel shave went from $12 to $16??? I left being unsatisfied. I will not be returning. read more

Update 09/14/17: Two years later and I'm still a loyal customer. Rob has renovated the shop and now wears a very sharp button down logo'd shirt. Really a classy look. He brought on a new barber about a year ago, and Miguel is fantastic. Miguel is personable and gives a great haircut quickly. Prices went up by $2 to $18 for an adult cut. Kids' cuts are $15. I still consider these prices a bargain for the quality you receive at Robert's Barber Shop. My teenage sons are also loyal customers, riding their bikes to the shop if I'm not around to accompany them. ----------------------------------------------------- I had been going to Bruno's with my two sons for a number of years, but it became a chore because Bruno's is perpetually overcrowded and inconsistent. Plus, Bruno's does not offer the straight-razor finish on the back of my neck and sideburns, which I came to enjoy when I used to get my hair cut in Boston. So, when I got a flyer in the mail from Robert's, saw his prices were competitive and he was close by, I emailed him to ask if he finished haircuts with a straight razor. Within an hour, Rob had responded with an affirmative, and I was there the next day. It's a tiny two-chair shop that Rob runs by himself. Three small chairs are crammed into the front waiting area, a big bowl of candy is on the counter and there is a small TV in between the two barber chairs. Essentially, a pretty standard, classic barber shop. I've been three times -- twice for myself and once for my sons. Each time we've had to wait for him to finish with a customer, but not too long. One time was longer than the others because the customer was indulging in a full shave after the haircut. I didn't mind because after seeing Rob deftly shave the gentleman, I knew I'd be in good hands. I get a normal haircut - tapered short on the sides and back, a bit longer on top and parted on the side, but my hair is thick, so if it's cut too short, it sticks up. Rob found a good compromise between too long and too short, and he blended in the sides and back perfectly. One of my sons has wavy hair and Rob did a great job on his too. My wife was happy with the result! I like supporting Rob because he's a brave young man striking out on his own, but also because he gives great haircuts at competitive prices. read more

Today I took my 10 year old to Rob's Barbershop. He had been there once before with his Mom and liked it. The first thing I noticed about this place is my son "wanted" to go there. When I have taken him to other barbers he gets pretty moody, so this is a big plus in my book. He had Miguel today cutting his hair and was very happy with the cut he got. It was a simple high and tight but you'd be surprised how a lot of shops can't get this right. I thought it looked pretty good as well. One of the real highlights was the friendliness of Rob and Miguel. While there I also had my other son and daughter with me. Within two minutes of entering my five year old puked all over the floor. I immediately picked it up even after they offered multiple times to do it themselves. What I appreciated most was their genuine concern for my son and their ability to put me at ease and to try and get me relaxed and to not be embarrassed. The price was on par with other local shops. We will definitely be back. read more

I recently moved to Natick, and going into Copley for haircuts was no longer practical. I decided to give Robert a chance, and i am very happy that i did. Robert demonstrates a natural ability to give a good cut based on the persons unique hair type, head shape, etc - i never leave feeling awkward as i have in the past when i have gone to barbers that give the same cut to everybody (after all, we're not all Brad Pitt!) If you want a clean haircut and care how you look this IS NOT the place to go. A bunch of college skill level "barbers" who always seem confused and challenged when you try explaining what you want. Sloppy sloppy fade, and really lacking a knowledge how to dig out cowlicks. Went to this place as a last case scenario a few times, but this was my last. Mediocre haircut and overcharged extra for a lineup(which wasn't even done to request properly) separate from my buzz. If you don't lineup a buzz your job is not done. Cheap move on a 15 minute cut. I've never felt in good confident hands here and I'm through with having my look compromised for time and what was previously a few dollars. My advice Robert; don't tarnish your good name further. Invest in professional barbers so you can enjoy your time away from the shop knowing your livelihood is in good hands. Larger dude in the chair further from the door cut my hair and is the final, but far from only, reason I won't be returning. All this on top of an awkward ambience on its best days. read more
