While that was a key factor for choosing them, they also offered pick up and drop off of my vehicle from my workplace. They were very kind and quick to respond. I recently brought my JL Wrangler to this body shop for repair work, and to be fair, the exterior…read morebodywork itself was done very well. The paint and body repairs look excellent, and from the outside the vehicle looks great. Unfortunately, the condition of my vehicle when it was returned was extremely disappointing. The entire interior was covered in sanding dust from the body shop. Dust was on the seats, dashboard, vents, and throughout the cabin, and the inside of the vehicle still smells like a body shop. My Jeep was brought in clean and well cared for, but it was returned in a condition that felt careless and unacceptable. My biggest concern is that this fine dust has been circulating through the vehicle, raising concerns about what I am now breathing in while driving. When I brought this to their attention, the response I received was simply that they would "wipe it down" because they do not have a detailing department. For a vehicle returned in this condition, that response did not feel adequate. Quality bodywork is important, but so is respecting a customer's vehicle. Based on my experience, anyone using this shop for body repairs should strongly consider negotiating enough off the final bill to have the vehicle professionally detailed afterward, because the cleanup standard here fell far below what should be expected.

It was only later that I realized my dashboard did not get wiped down very well nor did the inside of my doors. There were areas that did not get vacuumed inside. There was an area on the outside of my car (which is in really great condition) but did not get washed. Well it may have gotten washed, but there was still a bunch of dirt on it. I paid for the $50 wash plus a nice tip and did not get the wash and vacuum vacuuming I was expecting. Also, the workers, who I know were probably very tired, we're not friendly. The gal in the office inside was very kind and helped me figure out what wash I should get.

I am not going to go into the saga of driving around from one tire store to another to find the tires and service I needed and will skip to the interesting part. I walked into Hughes Brothers and was greeted not only by the guy behind the cash register but all of the Hughes Brothers employed within the sound of my voice. They scored point just for doing that. I explained what I was looking for and the CSR, we will call him Joe, began the search and we were able to agree on a set of tires that he could have in the store within a matter of hours. I was advised that I could wait in the store or, he could take my number and call me when the tires arrived. I departed. I received a call from Joe at an hour later than we had agreed and he began to explain that things had gotten wild and crazy and apologized for not following up within the agreed timeframe. More points for them. We agreed that I would come in the next morning by a specified hour and when I had not arrived in time for my scheduled appointment, I received another call to determine if I had changed my mind or if we needed to reschedule to come in for the service. I explained this time that things had gotten out of hand and that I was on my way in for the service. I arrived, Joe pointed out my tires that were waiting for me, took the keys the car and within 90 minutes, the tires had been mounted on a different set of rims, the TPMS sensors had been moved to the new rims, tires balanced, mounted and I am heading out the door. They hit the jackpot!!!!!! Customer Service - points Follow up - Points Fair Market Value Pricing - Points Locally owned and operated business - Points Customer for Life. Thanks Hughes Brothers!!!!

I've been using Coastal Car Wash at Monkey Junction for quite a while now, and they continue to…read moreearn my business. One thing people need to understand is that this is a full-service car wash, not a $300 professional detailing shop. If you're expecting every tiny speck, scratch, and stain to disappear, your expectations probably aren't realistic. For the money, especially the Manager's Special, you get excellent value. It includes the basic service--prep wash, machine wash, underbody rinse, towel dry, wheel cleaning, interior vacuuming, window cleaning, dusting, and door jambs--plus a coat of polish, fragrance, and tire gloss. That's a lot more than you get from a typical drive-through wash where you sit in your car for three minutes and leave with a wet vehicle. I also appreciate that they offer additional services like steam cleaning, leather conditioning, hand waxing, and bug, sand, pet hair, and pollen removal if your vehicle needs extra attention. They make it clear they're willing to accommodate special requests whenever possible. What keeps me coming back is the staff. They're friendly, professional, and they work hard. On a hot, humid North Carolina day, these folks are outside cleaning vehicles one after another, and it shows they genuinely try to do a good job. Is every wash absolutely perfect? No. But compared to several other car washes I've tried around Wilmington, Coastal consistently does a better job and provides better value. One final thought: please tip the crew. They're working in the heat and humidity, moving quickly from vehicle to vehicle, and a few extra dollars is a small way to recognize the effort they put into taking care of your car. Highly recommended. I'll be back.
