They were truly exceptional from start to finish. Initially, I began my loan process with a close friend ("Broker A") who has over 30 years of experience in the mortgage industry and had successfully helped several of my friends in the past. However, after a week and a half, I still hadn't received a formal rate quote, and a few early missteps left me concerned about the direction of the loan -- concerns that, later on, could have cost me the house. Feeling uneasy, I reached out to another highly recommended broker ("Broker B") from my best friend, who has bought and refinanced over ten properties. Broker B was more efficient than Broker A, but after a week, his offered rate was 7.02%, compared to Broker A's 6.98%. Rate aside, I still didn't feel confident moving forward with either option. I expressed my concerns to my real estate agent, Fred Wilson from Capitis Real Estate, who recommended Marvin Hudson at Viewpoint Financial. I called Marvin at 4:30 PM on a Monday, and after providing him with the necessary information, he promised to get back to me within a few hours. True to his word, he responded just four hours later -- a refreshing change compared to the days or weeks I had waited with the others. I told Marvin candidly that I would not be playing favorites, even with close friends involved -- I would simply work with the broker who earned my trust by offering the best rate and the best service. Marvin and his team rose to the occasion. Within just a few hours, he secured me a 6.499% rate on a 30-year fixed mortgage -- far better than the other quotes I had received. This wasn't a multi-million dollar loan; it was below $500,000 mortgage. Yet Marvin, Emi, and John treated me like I was purchasing a $10 million property. Their communication was outstanding: frequent updates via phone, email, and their website kept me informed every step of the way. Once the initial details were finalized and the rate was locked, Marvin introduced me to Emi and John, who managed the process seamlessly. Every Tuesday, Marvin personally called to review the loan's progress and ensure there were no issues -- and if there were, he and his team quickly addressed them. As anyone who has purchased a home knows, the process can be incredibly stressful. However, Marvin and the Viewpoint Financial team made it as smooth and stress-free as possible. They were professional, efficient, knowledgeable, understanding, and genuinely committed to ensuring I had the best possible experience -- regardless of the size of my loan.
