I feel fortunate to have found her. This is my second year…read more It was my intention to leave this review a long time ago, but then forgot. I'm sorry Marie! Now after two years, and two annual visits, the last of which was virtual, my five star rating is every bit as valid. There's not a hint of pretentiousness here. She's professional, yet easy going. For instance, there's a certain diagnostic test recommended for women within my age group. For personal reasons I choose not to have one. While she expressed its importance, and urged I have one, she respected my right to choose. I respect and appreciate that. Also, being she's independent, and not part of a busy practice, with multiple physicians, you're all that matters here. There's not a labyrinth of room filled hallways where you're placed inside an exam room waiting for what feels like forever for a doctor to go "knock-knock". With Marie, it's just you. She's there for you at exam time. No long waits. I'll never again choose anyone other than a nurse practitioner as primary care provider. And as long as Marie is available. I'll not choose anyone other than her. She has her own practice, not an office full of employees. When you call she'll likely answer, not a staff member. If you leave a message she won't take long to respond. If you're forgetful and forget to call in a refill, and you run out, she's responsive. I called, left a message on her day off. never expecting her to respond same day. Lo and behold, she did! She called it in right away! She took time away from her day of rest to care for me. I couldn't believe it! Who does that? Marie Amina Aryan, that's who! I'm so fortunate to have found her. Thank you Marie! I'll see you when due. Be well! Best wishes! Sandra Riddell

I first started seeing Marie at an office she was working at prior to starting her own practice -…read morethere was never any question that I was going to follow her wherever she landed. She is so incredibly knowledgable - from meds and interactions to identifying symptoms that I never really thought much about to going above and beyond, even past working hours. She is thorough and follows-up on everything to make sure things are working as they should. One example of her willingness to go above and beyond is when I was assaulted in another state just two weeks ago. I did not know anyone in the state that I was attacked in and all of my meds were stolen. Marie not only took my call and was genuinely concerned, but she worked with me and the healthcare professionals I was being seen by right after the attack (while I was still out of state) to ensure that I had what I needed until I could return. She takes her time with patients - I have NEVER felt rushed - and she welcomes questions. Even better - on the off chance that she doesn't have an answer, she does her research and gets back to you with accurate and comprehensive information. I 100% recommend Marie and Lakewood Family Health Clinic and think that anyone who is lucky enough to be a patient of Marie's is pretty darn lucky!

I recently moved here from New Jersey and I liked the idea of a small practice like this. Sadly,…read morethe care at Lakewood Family Medicine was subpar on many levels. The nurse practitioner was very short with me. I had an x-ray done at her suggestion, but never received the results. Each time I tried to call about results, I felt the response was extremely rude, as if I were asking them a huge favor. I also had a problem with one of my medications that I wanted to talk to the nurse about. For both things I was told that I would need a new appointment to have someone speak with me. It feels like they are absolutely just in it for the money and not patient care. Sad.

I was a 5-year patient who received schedule 4 meds (low possibility for addiction or abuse…read moreaccording to the government) for anxiety and a lifelong injury. I also work with incarcerated people who have struggled with addiction, and as the evidence confirms, many tell stories of having successful lives until doctors either cut off their meds or add difficult hoops for them to jump through. I've even talked to my provider about this and was told she understands, so I was surprised when they started forcing everyone to take drug tests EVERY TIME they refill a script and charging between $26 (for a quick test!) to $155 (for a full panel). Then I discovered they had opened their own urinalysis clinic adjacent to the Family Medicine Practice. They are fleecing customers and making the addiction crisis worse, and sadly, they know it. When I reminded my provider that these unaffordable grifts make it logical for patients to just skip the hoops (which build a relationship based on mistrust) and instead buy their pills on the streets, she said, "you don't have to come here for service." This is why 110k drug users died from overdoses last year in the USA.
