I'm so pleased with the team and the results! Procedures: Breast reduction, including removal of ADH cells Diastasis recti repair Panniculectomy I was so impressed with the care provided by Dr. Cober and team. A few reasons why they were so amazing: I was worried and uncomfortable going into my consultation, but those feelings were quickly waived as I felt immediately comfortable with Dr. Cober. I didn't feel judged whatsoever. I felt I was in the right place, with a doctor that had very capable hands. It was recommended that I get a mammogram before my breast reduction. Not required, but recommended. This mammogram resulted in abnormal cells that had to be removed. Dr. Cober was incredibly supportive and referred me to an excellent oncologist, Dr. De Melena, who was able to work hand in hand with Dr. Cober. Without skipping a beat, he pivoted and had Dr. De Melena piggyback my original surgery to remove the bad cells at the same time, minimizing the need for additional worry, panic, planning, or surgery.. This was, without a doubt, life saving. Dr. Cober and his team held my hand through the entire process, and were responsive when questions arose. I sent the team a message on Christmas, and it was Dr. Cober himself who responded. That is above and beyond excellent service. The results of my mommy-overhaul were better than I could have ever imagined. I am no longer in chronic pain, I have healthy breasts, and my abdominal muscles work appropriately. I am sincerely grateful for Tanasbourne Plastic Surgery. They, as a team, have changed my life tremendously. Dr. Cober is without question an amazing surgeon.

I contacted her scheduler/assistant to make an appointment. The person named Samantha Cohen was rather rude the two times I had interactions with her and either did not give the doctor my information or deliberately did this. She had poor follow-up and told me to send my records. Upon receipt she would get back to me in a few days. The second time I think it was 'a week or two, Well, now it is over two months. I almost always find competent and polite people to mirror the doctors and vice versa. I would not recommend this doctor because she is either too chaotic to get back to patients in a timely manner or she simply does not care enough to be efficient and pushes them off on her assistant. I would not recommend this office because part of a patients' experience is dealing with the scheduler/assistant.

This review is about Dr. Myriam Loyo…read more Don't waste your money! I drove all the way from Central Oregon to have a 5 minute consult which is $110! No insurance... all out of pocket for me. She spent about five minutes, no more than 10 for sure and immediately said that she would recommend seeing her partner. Dr. Wang who has a lot more experience. She was going to go grab him to see if he was available and bring him right in. At no time did she say it would be an additional $110 fee. About five minutes later, she came back to say he just started surgery but if I was willing to wait about three hours that I would be able to see him again no mention of anything additional cost. I had driven all the way from Central Oregon so I decided to stay and wait around for the doctor to finish his surgery About two hours later, the receptionist called me to confirm the appointment time with him and oh by the way, there's an additional $110 fee. Unbelievable!!! I felt completely taken advantage of the doctor hadn't spent more than five minutes with me no pictures ...hardly any discussion about future surgery etc. She wanted him to see me. It was her suggestion and her recommendation . The whole office seemed unprofessional and unprepared and disorganized. One didn't know what the other was doing etc.. I disputed the additional charge because I felt the doctor should have told me there was additional fee at the time because I could choose whether or not I wanted to waste my time instead, I waited an additional two hours. I felt that this should be on her and the fee should've been waived or comped because she literally spent less than five minutes with me before telling me I should see her partner Dr. Wang and suggesting her partner should see me which was supposed to be right away, except he wasn't available. To think they would have charged me an additional $110 even after the fact that I had just spent five minutes with her is absolutely ridiculous. They did not consider waiving the fee even after I voiced my concerns and how unprofessional and how this was her mistake that she should have told me before hand. I feel it was a complete waste of my day taking off work, traveling all the way to Portland for them to try and scam more money off of me. Maybe they're used to doing whatever they want and charging whatever ridiculous prices they do because insurance covers everything but when you don't have insurance, that is a lot of money to me for five minutes of her time in which she then recommends seen her partner and audacity of charging $110 for Ann other 5 minutes of his time??? I was so upset with the way that they handled this and I will recommend you not even bother to see her especially if you're paying out-of-pocket. Don't waste your time and don't bother . They should have made it right. I gave them ample opportunity to do so but they did not so I am a person of my word and I told him I would give a bad review as a result of them mismanaging this situation. Extremely disappointing and unprofessional

In October of 2023 I went in for a routine mammo and my primary doctor found that I had chronic bilateral silicone implant rupture with silicone in my lymph nodes. I had been experiencing chronic fatigue, hair loss and joint pain. In other words, Breast Implant Illness. I was told by my primary that I should try to get them removed promptly. So I started looking for a surgeon. I instantly wanted to go back to doctor Mia Skourtis who had put my implants in 10 years prior because I loved her and she did a great job on my surgery. However, she was not available for several more months. I started searching for the next best thing and came across Dr. John S. Lee in Portland Oregon. His website and reviews seemed great over all and the consultation went good with friendly staff. I thought I had made a great decision. His office told me that they did not take insurance but that if I payed upfront they would help me by giving me a discount and the insurance codes to file my claim myself. So I went for it and had surgery in November of 2023. A few days after surgery I came back to the office to take off the bandages for the first time. I sobbed. Dr Lee was not even there and it was just me, my husband and a nurse. I had implant removal with a lift and did not want implants back in but was looking for just more of a healthy and a natural look. Dr. Lee removed the implants, capsulectomy and did a lift but he left my right breast nonexistent. Both breasts are super small because I was small before and then you add a lift and you will lose a half cup size or so. But the right side is completely flat. So as I said, I sobbed that day and the nurse told me to give it time and they will "fluff". It has been two years at least the one has never fluffed. After that visit I walked out feeling sad but hopeful. In the meantime I continued on trying to file the insurance claim. This is where everything else fell apart. It took me almost 7 months to finally get a resolve. After trying to file the claim dozens of times all while trying to heal emotionally and physically, nothing was working for me to get my money back through insurance and his office became so rude to me. I made dozens of phone calls, countless hours on hold with insurance and one day I was told that he was actually "in my network" and that he should have never taken my money but that by law he was supposed to follow his binding contract and work through insurance. At that point I felt so taken advantage of and neglected as a patient. His receptionist Gina was so rude to me. I have all of the emails, results, screenshots from my medical claims, etc. After almost 7 months the final day came that I threatened their office with a lawyer because I was tired and upset. She finally reimbursed me the money owed back to me that they should not have taken. Since then I can see they went through my insurance as they should have done and got their money through the binding contract they had. Besides all of this I have ongoing pain in my right breast and have had to see so many doctors, trying to get resolve on my pain. Dr. Lee has never personally reached out to me and the lack of patient care on his part has left me with no help from the doctor that operated on my body. I would not recommend. My advice, do your own research and talk with insurance. If a doctor is in your network they have a legal binding contract wit the insurance company. It doesn't mean they have to operate on you but if they do then they have to bill insurance. Also, talk very clearly about expected results and what they can do if it is not ok.
