Friendly staff and Dr. Meyers is a true professional…read more I came to the office for a follow up after being referred for an ankle fracture. Colorado Orthopedic Consultants in Aurora is an organized office. They sent me texts and emails prior to the appointment to get paperwork filled out. Once I arrived I had a short wait to see the doctor. His PA came in first and looked at my ankle and then I had X-rays done to check on status of fracture and healing. Dr. Meyers evaluated the X-rays and found my ankle was healing. All of the rooms I was in were clean and stocked with cleaning wipes. The office has a large area for physical therapy that I just saw. Be aware that parking is limited outside; there is a large parking garage that I ended up in since this office is adjacent to a hospital.

I met Dr DeLaRosa after months with a severe fracture to my humerus that was not healing. My…read moreprevious orthopedic surgeon had put me in a brace and said that it looked great every time I had an office visit and they took an x-ray and said to come back in another couple of weeks for another check up. My arm was NOT healing and the pain was unbearable and they didn't seem to even care. Dr. DeLaRosa immediately said he was very concerned on my first visit and ordered blood tests and took x-rays and told me that there is definitely something delaying the union of the bone and it was not okay to keep waiting. Within 2 weeks, we had performed surgery and my bone had been stuck in the muscle the whole time and was never going to heal without surgery. Dr DeLaRosa put in a plate and screws and the bone is literally in perfect alignment again! Today my arm is nearly back to full function and better every day! I cannot say enough about the quality of care from all of the staff from the front desk to the schedulers, the MA's and of course Dr DeLaRosa....everyone at OCC went above and beyond for my care and still does!

The good Dr. Callaghan performed the procedure without any pain felt by me. As they say it was a SMOOTH OPERATION. If you need any dermatology care I highly recommend Cara Mia Dermatology.

I specifically…read morechecked my confirmation email and the new patient section of the website for instructions and found none, so I showed up ON TIME for my 6:45am appointment. I was told new patients need to arrive 15 minutes early, which was never communicated to me, and that I couldn't be see at that time. They offered an appointment with the PA an hour later, but I need to get to work so I declined. I expressed that no one told me about the 15 minutes early rule, and was told they left me a VM. They did not. I SPOKE with the receptionist the day before because I answered his reminder call, and was only told the time and location. I told them I would reschedule, even though I planned on just finding another office to go to. THEN I received a VM that I was unable to see the doctor in the future because I was "late." (I WASN'T) and that I would need to see the PA for further appointments. How unprofessional. And no apology for wasting my time either. There are a million derms in Denver, go elsewhere.

I am a 75 Y0 female and had what appeared to be a hernia along my left side about the size of a fat…read morebanana. I had a second just below my breastbone about the size of two brussel sprouts. Dr Rowland (3.4 stars out of five on Healthcare web site) performed surgery to repair the two issues. Which, in fact, proved to be my intestines pushing against a weak oblique muscle wall. The same held true for the breastbone hernia. Dr Rowland supposedly did some strengthening of the the outer oblique wall. And closed the hole in the other one. I was discharged after a night of observation. Within 3 days the same problems re-occurred, only worse. The side hernia was now about the size of a banana and a half. The center hernia spread downward and across my whole upper belly. I immediately called Dr Rowland and left word at the office that the same problems had come back. A day later some office person called me back and said Dr Rowland had said they weren't hernias and he'd see me in two weeks for a post-op. In the mean time, I was having pain in both places which I had to endure until I saw him again. He explained that it was a post-surgical fluid buildup and he'd have to have a CT or ultrasound to make sure. I said that I'd just spent $345 on a copay and couldn't afford them. I hinted that because the operation hadn't worked could I get my copay refunded. He quickly ducked the question. It'll just make it harder on me for the next operation to fix his mess. We'll find out what can be done at a pre-op with Dr Harnbarger (4.4 stars of 5) my new surgeon, tomorrow.

This rating is based solely on the doctors and my new doctors evaluating their work (the receptionists, scheduler, nurses, and staff are all satisfactory). My first surgery was with Dr. Plaus & the second was with Dr. Golembeski. They are lackadaisical with their aftercare regimen (they provided incorrect paperwork for the procedure I had), disingenuous with their "your portion after insurance" estimate (their quote didn't take into account fees from surgery center, anesthesiologist, or other specialists) and follow-up (I made an office visit post surgery for complications and never heard back - now I need the same surgery 8 mos later). I get better customer service from the bbq joint next to my house than these "billable hours" professionals. Don't know what else to call them as they are not health care professionals.

He has an excellent bedside manner, which can't be said for a lot of surgeons. I also appreciate his staff, who worked with me on payment plans, appointment reschedulings, and my post-op visit. Everything throughout the process was excellent and as stress-free as a surgery could possibly be. I would highly recommend this practice.
