I clearly scheduled a full-body scan when making my appointment over the phone. Only when I was finally placed in a room (40 mins after my appointment time), the nurse informed me that new patients are not eligible for full body exams. Clearly a money grab and I'm not a new patient, I just haven't been in a handful of years. What else is a preliminary dermatology visit if not a full-body skin check? Even more concerning is his creepiness. Although the nurse was very adamant that I could not receive a full-body check, Dr. Patrignelli decided to ONLY check my back and breasts under my garments. These areas were not areas I stressed as concern. I asked him specifically to look at my thigh, he removed the mole, but didn't even inspect the rest of my leg. I came in as a first-time patient. In the waiting room, I was exposed to Fox News blaring stories about war, natural disasters, and discussion of Jewish concentration camps, all of which raised my stress level. I asked the receptionist to mute the sound but she said it was their policy leave it as it was. When I was brought into the exam room, the nurse asked me why I was there and I told her I needed an annual skin check. She told me they don't do full body checks for new patients. She did not give me a reason other than reiterating this policy. I asked her why no one had previously asked me my reason for the visit on the phone so that I could have been told earlier about this policy, but she had no answer. Feeling uncomfortable, I chose to leave. She asked, "You don't even want a face and back check?" No, thank you. I will seek out a practice where I feel more comfortable. read more

Expect to wait a half hour post apt time. He then left my husband in the exam room for an additional hour. Husband eventually just got dressed and left without being seen. When he did he walked past all staff just hanging in employee lounge. No one ever called to follow up. Seems overbooked and money driven. read more

I've been a patient of Robert J. Patrignelli from April of this year. He is a great dermatologist, always have a great attitude, will actually have a conversation with you, and an overall great doctor. His offices are decorated nicely, with each room being a different movie star theme. I've seen the Marilyn Monroe and ole Blue Eyes. There's never a long wait, you are in and out in no time and the treatment is top notch. The staff also deserve a thank you as well. You are greeted nicely each time. I highly recommend this doctor and his practice. read more

Dr. Robert Patrignelli, MD has been providing me with wonderful, thorough and deliberate care in my annual examinations. Getting a "full body" inspection, at least once a year (unless recommended differently) is one of the most important, yet overlooked physical exams one can and should get, even in your 20's....unchecked, basal cell carcinoma is dangerous and potentially deadly. I love his office staff, the pictures in his examination rooms are nostalgic and fun to look at and I feel 100% protected and a good deed done for myself, after I leave his office. He's always happy with a vibrant personality. I have seen some of these other comments and everyone has their own opinion; here is mine, he's a great doctor who cares deeply about people. I asked him to do a toe nail trim for me on 9/10/2014 and he pulled and twisted all my toes leaving me with terrible pain for life. However, I had known him for 9 years before and he always did an excellent job then. I trusted him and fell victim when he had one bad day. read more

He operates an assembly line practice, albeit successfully. Nice , personable. Downside have to listen to a@hole, mon Fox News in the waiting room. Expect to wait 1/2 hour. Warning, no effort whatsoever to social distance here. Every seat full. Downside of have a trump loving doctor. read more

This Dr. should not be in practice due to his utter disrespect for medical ethics, as well as his blatent disregard for the Hippocratic Oath! In short, he told TWO different patients, during two different appointments, that people who were on Medicaid, "should not be allowed to go on vacations or eat at restaurants " He also repeatedly asked said patients if they worked, and what they did for a living, and proceeded to make a snarky comment about a patient's sneakers being "expensive " He outright refused to make follow up well check appointments with said patients due to "his nurses working so hard and not being able to afford things that people with State issued insurance were able to, and that he didn't think that he would be accepting this insurance any longer." Needless to say, he is still a provider. This individual is an abomination to the medical profession as a whole, and I am utterly embarrassed to say that he attended one of the same alma maters as myself! read more

Probably the most arrogant, obnoxious jerk of a doctor I have ever encountered. This Doctor essentially refused to examine the areas of concern, had no bedside manner, was completely uncaring and in my view if this is the way he conducts business, he is committing Medicare Fraud. Dr. Patrignelli and his nurse refused to take time to exam the patient and areas of concern on the skin, refuse to listen to the patient and caregiver issues or look at the rashes spreading over the patients body and also refused to look at photos from past days. He said " I don't need to look at the entire areas of concern. I have been doing this for 20 years, I took a culture and that is enough for me". Well it was not enough. He is not someone I would recommend at all and is someone I will probably report for Medicare Fraud. read more

Beware - Dr Patrignelli MD uses Fairfield County Pathology Consultants to Analyze your tissue samples - After you visit Dr Patrignelli - for a body scan for cancer - he sends to tissue samples to Fairfield County Pathology Consultants who will wack you with a HUGE bill afterwards - mine was $765!! to analyze 3 Tissue Samples - I called them up - they then charged me $90.00 - watch out for these scumb_g doctors - they are ripping people off!! By sending collection notices for the bill - when you never received the initial bill. Time for a New Dermatologist!! The waiting room has gone from packed over the past year to no one there - it says alot!! read more

I have been a patient of Dr. Patrignelli for years. I have always found him to be very caring and a wonderful doctor. He is very intelligent and helpful with recommendations. He discovered skin cancer several years ago and has been very vigilant with my check-ups and treatments. My entire family uses him for dermatology needs and has always been very pleased with the results. read more

I was a patient for a few years. Changed to a new doctor because i've started questioning the motives and integrity of any business that chooses to play Fox news. Otherwise, the office is clean and nicely decorated with a hollywood theme. Nancy is the best. The doctor is thorough, but overly aggressive with the scalpel/samples. read more

Dr. Patrignalli is very personable and capable. Very nice facilities and exam rooms. His is an extraordinarily busy practice which leads to long waits in lobby for scheduled appointments. Best times to schedule are first thing in the morning or first appointment when practice opens after lunch. read more

I went to see him for general (not severe) acne, for which he prescribed Minocycline Capsules, along with a face wash and lotion. The capsules were completely unnecessary and costed over $90. But what made me most uncomfortable about Dr. Patrignelli is that he tricked me into revealing to him my ethnic background by pretending that it was medically relevant when it was not. Right before leaving, Dr. Patrignelli advised me to get more sunlight, then he asked me if I tan or if I burned, using that question as an excuse to ask for my ethnicity (he used the term "nationality"). I already told St. Vincent's MultiSpecialty Group that I preferred not to reveal my ethnic/racial background; I checked "refuse to report" while filling out my Patient Information form, so my doctor(s) should have known not to ask in the first place. He wanted to know my ethnicity not for medical purposes. After being coerced into giving away very private information, I felt violated. That incident occurred 2 weeks ago and I am still bothered by it. That was the second and last time I will ever see Dr. Robert Patrignelli. read more
