Blowing up my phone with all those emails, in response I do send my resume and my phone number to reach me directly but I never get any responses from no one. If you want to be lied to about assignments and ignored, this is the place for you. If you want your false hopes about they positions they have available in advertising, publishing and graphic design shattered, call them today. First of all you give them your resume, tell them what you're looking for, interview with them, and they say they'll call you. Then they don't. If you try to bypass them and look at the jobs they advertise as available on their website and apply for them, they step in and tell you you're not qualified. I must have tried to apply for 20-odd jobs they were recruiting for, only to be told I wasn't the right person for the job. I felt I would have done much better applying directly to the company, which I eventually did and got a job as an editor with an internationally renowned media company. THEN they had the nerve to keep calling and emailing me asking me where I worked, so they could put it 'in my file', meaning add me to the list of clients they had successfully placed in careers. He and his team really listen to what I was looking for and worked with me to find the perfect position for me. It is because of him and Robert Half that I have my current (and amazing) position. I have tried other recruiting agencies before, and by far Robert Half is the best. I have tried to work with other recruiting agencies and felt like they quickly forgot about me; this was not the same for Robert Half. Robert Half really tried to work with me to find a position that would be a great fit for both me and the employer. Prior to an interview, they help you prepare for it and give you tips. Also they are great at getting genuine feedback from the person who interviewed you. I found some of these feedbacks at the beginning of my job search to be very helpful in improving my interviewing skills. I would definitely recommend them to anyone I know who is trying to enter the financial sector or someone currently working in this sector who is trying to find a new job.. read more

I went to an interview a few weeks ago, and I haven't heard an update from my account executive (even after I followed-up with a phone call and e-mail). I mean, yeah, I understand the whole recession thing (and that it's really hard to look for a job out there) and that they are very busy going in and out of interviewing new people BUT i think it's not ethical not to return calls or reply back to emails especially if the AE him/herself said he/she will. *The nerve...* When I went in for my initial interview, they said I am going to be interviewed for 30 minutes. Good thing I parked in a garage or my car could have been towed or I could have gotten a ticket because it lasted for more than an hour. And then they said that I wasn't actually qualified for the job. (what the heck?, maybe it was ok to go to atleast get to know me, but like hannah s., it feels like i was tricked into going). And they have to rub it in and dissected my resume as if I lied. I know, it's their job make sure that an applicant meets their client's needs (the employers), but I don't think the approach was very nice. It made me feel like I was being interrogated by the resume-liar squad. Two people interviewed me, one of the reasons why it took us more than an hour. I think it has to do something with the other guy moving to another department. But that wasn't the problem. When I used to work as a nurse assistant, it was a very strict rule not to speak in my native tongue with other nurses, because the patients might think that we are talking about them. They are both English speakers, but they had this 'look' going on during the interview which made me feel so uncomfortable. Maybe I'm butthurt because if they are going to make money off me, they should at least look at me and treat me as human being, not a PRODUCT sitting in their shelves. I got my current job from another recruiter(which is a sole operated business, unlike RH), but I never had experienced this before. I was treated very nicely and was never made felt unimportant. In the past, I had been working for them, off and on, for the past 6-7 years. I mostly worked in a temp to hire position and I would get hired on by the employer for a few years each, and they did manage to get me in a permanent position, that went really well until the company had to downsize; fine, so of course, I immediately called them and they reassured me that they would always have work for me, which they always did. They're lucky to have gotten one star from me. The only way they even got this star is that the system requires at least one star for a rating. They then had me placed me in various positions, including one where it took literally ten times asking one Office Team employee (who is no longer there by the way), what the specific dollar amount was of the perm position would be once I was hired. This is where everything on their part went south fast. So, once the salary was established, I went to work, worked hard, and got screwed, not only by the hiring employer, but Office Team. You see, this is the case, and there were many, where hard work doesn't get you any sort of reward, you just get squeezed all the way out of the picture; in this case both by the agency and the client. Then, each of them had the nerve to play the victim. Once that happened, it was war. I made absolutely certain that neither of them would get away without sending me some sort of a written apology; it may have been an empty one, but at least it was something. After that, they really didn't have much for me. Gee, I wonder why? Maybe it was because I wasn't willing to be their doormat? Every time I'd call, (which by the way, the operator is probably the rudest human being on the planet, she should never have been hired for that position) and keep in mind that when I wasn't working, I called them once a day, everyday, and their reply was always "call back later, you never know, we might have something for you tomorrow", which of course I always did. Finally, after all of this, a friend of mine said, "don't waste your time with such a poorly ran agency." Go to Apple One. They're far better and plus, it'll show Office Team how you really feel about the way they run their business. So, I went to Apple One, was placed in a job within a few days; a permanent one which, by the way, that paid enough for me to live in this current economic crisis and have been there for the past four years. Office Team only cares about its clients and itself. Its candidates as well as their skills and talents are expendable. All they want is to get you into a position, any position, whether it works for you or not, so they can get their checks from the employers. I would never recommend Office Team to anyone for any position. And as of now, it is to my understanding that they are now running on a skeleton crew and don't have any positions that pay more than minimum wage due to the economy. I actually wanted to take a cab to work with my knee bent, but getting my pants on was just too hard. It's fortunate that my knee did unbend in time for me to visit Office Team before going to another assignment with a different company. I realize I was somewhat curt with the staff at Office Team regarding my time card, but the the instructions I got there completely contradicted what I had been told to do before that, and I still wasn't sure what I was expected to show for hours. In any case, pain or no pain, forms or no forms, I had to GO. And I did. I said I was sorry, and I was sorry. In the final analysis, I had to miss 2 shifts at McDonalds in order to work 1 shift for Office Team, which, for 2 shifts total works out to $6 per hour rather than $9 per hour. In other words, Office Team is not yet competing for me with McDonalds. It's a simple mathematical fact. I used Office Team in 2007 and got a great job in weeks. The woman I interviewed with was wonderful and the follow up was great. I was excited to start with them again in 2010 after deciding I needed to expand my horizons. No one from 2007 was left, however, so I interviewed with the head of Staffing: Jackie Kim. After apologizing for not printing out my updated resume she went on to interview me as if my 2007 resume were my correct one. During the interview she asked me how desperate I was to get a job and kept emphasizing that there really wasn't anything available for anyone right now. I mean, I know we're coming out of a recession, but I don't need it stuffed down my throat. She gave me her card and told me to follow up with her personally. After the bad interview, I followed up with Jackie personally, only to have her tell me that she wasn't handling cases at that moment and transferred me to another woman.... OK. The woman I was transferred to had no idea who I was and told me the only resume they had for me was from 2007 (at this point I had sent Jackie 2 copies of my 2010 resume). I could go on, but it just goes downhill from there and continues in the vein of Jackie feeling out how desperate I am for a position. I'm moving on to a couple other places. The people who run this joint should consider someone new for their head of staffing, in my opinion it's gone down hill since all the folks from 2007 left. read more

Was told by them that I had a job, accepted it, and was even congratulated on it, and told my start date. I cancelled all my other pending interviews with companies and was very excited/relieved after having been out of work. The next day, I was told I no longer had the position anymore. I tried to call back the companies to explain my unfortunate situation, and while I eventually got a good deal of pity and sympathy, that and "Sorry, we just offered someone else the position" doesn't really help my situation. read more

If you are looking and applying for creative jobs, it won't be long until the Creative Group tracks you down. Expect an enthusiastic phone call followed by a trip to their office, where they will let you know that they are insanely busy and will have something for you in no time! After you leave they will call your references, which is normal, except that they ask a few things about you, then start harassing your references about registering with them. Following the initial greeting they will call you right away with "An opportunity that you are a great fit for," and tell you "We'll get back to you right away to let you know for sure!" Do not expect to ever hear about this job again. Once they have your information and have given you some false hope you will not hear from them for 6-8 weeks. Expect to hear from them every 6-8 weeks with promises of opportunities that you never hear about again. They do not want you to slip away, just in case they can someday actually place you. Despite graduating in a bad economy I have been able to land some great opportunities for myself, these "professionals" haven't even been able to land me an interview in over a year. I am not sure how they make a living because I know a lot of really talented people and they have had equal or worse experiences with this company. Job hunting is rough, but you are better off finding opportunities on your own. Most decent places to work don't want to waste money paying these people to bring them talent when they know talent will just come to them. They can type in a keyword on Linkedin and find the same people Creative Group has to offer without having to pay their fees or signing their contracts. read more

The canned "positive" reviews are obviously written by CG employees and "paid informants" (Come on; you're called "The Creative Group", which granted is a misnomer but surely even you can do better). I was recently invited to attend the "OPEN HOUSE" where I was interviewed by several CG account managers. I went all bright-eyed, bushy-tailed, generally eager to please and ready to be impressed. Instead, I was shocked that they had so little real knowledge about the fields they recruit for. Emphasis on appearance over substance is to be expected in this business but really folks, have some respect for yourselves and for us. Start by taking a look at your propaganda. An 8-ball? Really? White space is just void unless it surrounds something meaningful. And I won't begin to deconstruct the stale, empty platitudes that you try to pass off as original positioning. Maybe all this "Bay Area lifestyle" has made you flabby; maybe it's lack of experience and education. Whatever it is, thanks for confirming that true originality rarely emerges from enterprises that claim they have it cornered but from outliers and self-doubters. Spoke to Jackie Kim recently. I'm not convinced that I've found the best recruiter for me. All the while, she played things off like all was well, but I really got a negative impression. The communication was frustrating and a bit passive-aggressive. I first signed up with this agency around the time of the recent recession, and I only ever got 1 call about a potential temp job, just to find out the same day that the job was retracted. My recruiter then was Kristen, and I really preferred her communication style and rapport to what I experienced recently. Jackie didn't seem ready to talk to me on the phone, as she still needed to look over my resume and other documents and I was put on hold for a while. She critiqued my resume to tell me why her agency didn't find me work a couple years ago, just to tell me the wrong information, taking back her comments. She contradicted herself to say she doesn't know why I wasn't found work before, but then said my resume wasn't desirable enough. Jackie seemed quick to judge, pushy with asking questions and wanting to change my wage requirements, and threw in her 13 years of experience as if she had told me before when she didn't; it wasn't necessary; she was asking me detailed questions about competitors, yet she was implying that she was very experienced, so I don't know why she then wanted my opinion if she was just going to talk down to me. Anyway, I thanked her for her time and keeping me on file, but I'm still going to look for an agency that is more akin to the assitance and jobs that I am looking for. Staffing agencies' clients are their main concern, as the constantly recruit new potential temp workers. This can mean earning a low temp wage, so that they (the agency) gets more per hour. I wish that agencies cared more about finding people the job that's good for them (workers), vs. just filling quotas for themselves (the agency). read more

I wonder why no one has reviewed RHI's San Francisco office. I registered with them a couple of years ago, and they sent me to several assignments, one in particular that I enjoyed a great deal. After December, 2007, I never heard from them until they contacted me in the summer of 2009 to ask if I'd be interested in taking assignments at a particularly reduced rate. I said yes, and I went in and met with the recruiter who had placed me previously, updated my information and talked about the work I'd done in the past and what I'd be interested in doing. After that day...crickets...never heard from them. One of my references did tell me that she got repeated calls from them, looking for work. I had a great interview and told them what I was looking for. I met everyone on the staff and felt like my chances of getting a job were high. I was particular about not working after 5pm. They did have a job for me, but it wasn't what I was looking for so I declined. At that time, I really needed the work. So I waited a week and never heard from back. I called for the 3rd time and the lady, who was very rude, told me they were no longer interested in me and never gave me a reason why. Let's just say after I had a good cry like I was smacked in the face that they are not a professional company. Not giving anyone a reason why they won't use you is ridiculous. I had THE WORST experience with Office Team, an experience I was told was not uncommon. Basically they kept finding me assignments and would lie and tell me they would last for a few months, and they never lasted more than a week or so. This happened about 3 or 4 times, and on my last assignment, I met a couple other girls who were employed through Office Team, and told me they had similar experiences. I told the girls that Office Team told me I would be in this position for a few months, and they both told me that was a lie, their supervisor was hired someone who was starting in a week and a half. Sure enough, I was discarded in a week and a half. Moreover, the members of Office Team that were placing me in positions were extremeley aggressive and pushy. For one of my work assignments, I was told that I was going to start on a Friday, and took another one day assignment with another temp agency for the Thursday before. On Wednesday night, a member of Office Team called me and told me I actually needed to start on Thursday. When I told her I had previously obligations that I didn't know if I could cancel, she demanded to know what they were and told me that I really should cancel because I didn't want to miss out on this great long term opportunity. i felt very pressured to do what she asked, and was not happy that I had to bail on my previous commitment so last minute. Needless to say, that "long-term" assignment was the one I mentioned in the first paragraph, and only ended up lasting a week and a half!!!! I stopped associating with Office Team after that, found a job on my own, and would not recommend anyone to work with them EVER. read more

The staff is professional. Only apply with this staffing agency if your previous employers do not have a policy of confirming employment only (for example, through an affiliation like Work Number). My last employer has the Work Number policy and my previous employer to them was a start-up that is now based out of Commerce City, California and I am no longer in contact with anyone from the start-up...you can see where this is going. Best to apply with other staffing agencies and provide a list of references and previous employer information and ask for confirmation of said references when they have been checked. I was told for sure I would get more work and next thing you know, I as never contacted back, and I never got an email back. I think my recruiter eventually blocked me. So anyhow, 2 years later, still unemployed (god this sucks, it's been taking for friggin ever to find some PC TECH work, i just don't know why.) In my opinion, this firm gets worse each year and is only as great as its recruiters (when they decide to hire a few). The Managing Director, Renee does not return calls or emails from candidates, sources candidates for jobs, makes contact with them to discuss the fine details and then you do not hear back from her - until you hound her, only to be told that the interviewing process is over and another candidate was selected. No explanation provided. Really? In addition, she gave me the impression that she feels very superior and this type of attitude does not impress me in the least. However, I was very impressed with her lack of professional decorum and follow-up and this attribute does not represent this agency very well. Robert Half, Inc. & Accountemps SPS Program Review: The short summary: - Candidates: Low-pay, mediocre benefits augmented by high lay-off possibility and revolving door of inexperienced placement staff with nonexistent professional development investment are among key reasons to investigate a position with this firm carefully before signing-up. - Clients: I recommend researching boutique specialty firms for degreed placement roles due to premium SPS rates charged to guarantee project completion. Consider Accountemps for functional AP, AR and payroll roles. The longer summary: I was recruited to be a Salaried Professional Services (SPS) Associate due to my contract Accounting experience. This was marketed as a "permanent consulting" position with paid bench-time (non-billable hours). However, in hindsight, I was effectively a glorified "Temp" as I was "laid-off" twice (in spite of working in one of the busiest job markets in the country) and later terminated with no formal reason provided. The company can afford to treat SPS "consultants" in this manner as they immediately refer you to their temporary and permanent placement divisions after terminating you from program. They also appear to have a mediocre reputation in the industry and make their market margins by advertising heavily. Given that my salary was consistently below market according to their own published annual surveys (compared average client job title with same job title & my experience level in firm's salary surveys), the lay-offs resulted in a net under-compensation. In other words, I worked in a regional strong job market with virtually no wide-scale industry lay-offs. Hence, ironically, I appear to have been literally poorer for my association with a professional job placement firm... in spite of never receiving any constructive job performance feedback. Job seekers need to examine local market carefully as this company recruits heavily for this role across skill areas. Robert Half's / Accountemps SPS business model is very profitable as they charge premium rates to guarantee that consultants complete the project but can dismiss a consultant for lack of billable hours. Hence, they do not spend on building a long-term, qualified staff to truly function as "consultants," but mostly on advertising. I was not contacted for annual reviews or other skills verification, and my assignments were often far-flung from my qualifications. Also of concern for candidate's long-term professional reputation is that positions were far-flung and often above my qualifications, apparently in order for fir to justify their high bill rates. Candidates, be aware that client work-sites are allowed to be 60 miles from your commuting location. Actual travel logistics in urban areas may render this a lifestyle challenge, e.g. 60 miles may not be 60 travel minutes in your market. Lastly, the company did not publish the (short) billable hours quota (this may have changed as I complained vocally about practice) which I found to be a deceptive practice. I maintain that this position is effectively a temporary position with many of the same employment vulnerabilities. Scheduling vacations and PTO around the constant fear of a project ending and not being replaced was stressful and only practicable if the project lasted long enough that client allowed an inter-project break. read more

Upon sending in my resume info, I was called back the very next day and sitting in their office a day later. I've been working with Neelu, Liz, Austin, Elena and Lisa, and they have always come across as highly professional, incredibly friendly and sensitive to my needs. I've been passively job searching, but they have been sending me job postings within my salary targets at great companies that I never thought to consider. I have worked with many staffing agencies for over ten years, but I have never been so upset after speaking with a recruiter like I have after speaking with Jessica. After finding out that I still hold a permanent position, her tone of voice changed fairly quickly. She straight up told me that she refused to work with me until I put in a one week's notice to my current employer, and the direct-hire position that I had applied to was one of the fake positions they had posted just to get more candidates. WTH? Are you kidding me? I was really upset because I had wasted my time applying for a position that doesn't even exist. I was really looking forward to working with them because they specialize in the field that I am interested in, administrative roles, and I have heard good things about them. I am truly disappointed by how unethical they are running their company, especially they are part of a reputable company, Robert Half Company. Every employer understands and appreciate the two-weeks notice from employees, but unfortunately, this company doesn't seem like it. She expects me to quit for a position that is not even guaranteed or available. Yes, they may have a position line up somewhere, but it does not mean you are guaranteed to get that position. How do you expect someone to leave a permanent position for a position that may be temporary and not guaranteed. Living in SF is not cheap and it does not allow one to be jobless. You cannot expect someone to quit a paying job just so you have a potential candidate to represent to your client/partner. From my experiences, the client works with more than one recruiting company and each agency sends 2-3 candidates to the interview. That is not much of a sure thing. If she can guarantee that I will have a permanent position by "Monday" as she puts it, then I am more than happy to put in my two-weeks notice, give her a call, and take on my new role. Unfortunately, no company can guarantee that. I have no intention of working with them or recommending them to anyone. read more

Emily Turner was my recruiter and she did a good job of handling my situation and application. I was immediately set up with a position in customer service which was actually at a very cool startup in San Francisco. The other recruiter Betsy even brought breakfast our first day, which was such a lovely surprise! It's a little intimidating at first to visit a temp agency since, for me, I did not know what to expect. Emily was highly enthusiastic and did a good job of gleaning over my skills and whatnot. She's highly communicative and explains very well how the agency conducts work. I was paid on a timely manner, and the timesheet was easy to navigate. Even after leaving Office Team, Emily still keeps in touch, which I appreciate. Good job, everyone! read more

Life is, for the most part, generally a good thing. Then you lose your job and life is like, "Eh...I'm a bit sucky." That's what happened to me. My company went through a merger and several people (myself included) were let go. I did what most people do when these things happen - I enjoyed my free time, laid out in the sunshine and posted photos on Facebook about spending a Tuesday in Dolores Park and not having to wait in line at Bi-Rite. Friends were jealous, words were thrown around, people were slapped. Yada yada yada. So this happens for a while and then you realize, "Shit...I'm supposed to be an adult. I should find another job." Well, unfortunately everyone is looking for a job and I was nervous. So my friend suggests to me a recruiting company. As I've never used one, I was worried. What if they put me in something that I hate just so they can get paid? Or what if it's some 90 year old woman that criticizes me for how I act or what I do? OR! What if they're like, "You're too tall. Go home!" (Yeah, I'm 6'6"...height discrimination is a real thing that I go through every day.) Anyways, I get the information for OfficeTeam and I am nervous but I go in anyways. I meet with Ally and she is super friendly during the initial interview. Goes over the sign-up paperwork and discusses my strengths, what I want, salary options...the works. I'm completely happy and know that this is working out. She introduces me to more of her team (because they're a team...hence OfficeTEAM) and they tell me that I have great skills and that I can easily find something. I thank them for their kindness, but mentally am high fiving myself...which is something reserved for special occasions. Fast forward to like two or three weeks later. I get this phone call from Erin (whose last name is Carter, and who has been told that she does have the same name as a adolescent boy singer from the 90's and that she will accept you telling her that if you buy her a drink for being famous.) Erin calls and tells me that there is this job that sounds just like my resume. It would be perfect for me. We discuss the details and she discusses how things are going to work. How they're going to recommend me, how they're going to be there during every step, and how they'll use me as their candidate to get this job. So I'm nervous, but I'm excited. I go in to the office to interview and meet Erin in person. You know the phrase Awesome Sauce? Go look that up...she's the picture next to it. She prepped me for the interview, reassured me that I would do fine, and then sat with me and chatted before the interview to relax me make me feel at ease. And it worked, because the person I met with said that I seemed really cool. (I mean, I am...but she picked up on it because Erin helped.) During the other interviews at the company, Erin called me the day before (or sometimes the morning of) to remind me of the information and also to say, "Hey...you know you've got this, right? You're going to rock." And that little thing was such an awesome thing for someone to do. Then after every interview, we chatted about how it went and get a pulse on how I felt. Guess what? Got the job. BAM! Yeah, I know that 90-95% of it was all me and all my skills and whatever. But I think that Erin played a big part in just being there, making sure I was ready, making sure I had everything that I needed, and just overall being awesome. Plus, she didn't discriminate against my height...so that alone is like a zillion points. If you're looking for a job, give OfficeTeam a shot. Erin is awesome (obviously) but their whole team knows what they're doing. And what they're doing is making sure that you get hired. You don't have a job and want one? OfficeTeam. You don't like your job and want to find something else? OfficeTeam. You want to buy someone a drink that has the same name as a famous singer in the 90's? OfficeTeam, more specifically Erin. You just can't go wrong with this company. read more

I've been given misinformation and false promises by them. But they did succeed in getting me work when I wanted. They have more leeway in salary than they indicate. Don't be afraid to ask for more money if you believe you deserve it. They can afford to pay you more. Usually, they pay you only around 35% what they charge the employer. Just remember, placement agencies are really in SALES and YOU are THEIR commodity. They will tell you almost anything so they make their numbers. read more

I thought of working at SF (I'm from the South Bay) and wanted to keep my options open. So i thought of using Accounttemps for help. I learned a lot about the company... the bad things about them. As far as I remember, I worked with Phil and few others. 1. They don't fulfill your requests because the only thing they care about is $. They give you no good positions so that they can get there $. When you don't feel comfortable or reject the position, they get upset because they don't get their $. They have no reason to get upset. Example: Recruiter told me of a 1 week opportunity in SF (remember I'm in the South Bay). Apparently I got the opportunity without interviewing and I told recruiter (Not going to say names) I don't feel comfortable. He then got very mad. If this was a temp to perm hire or long term temp job, then yes he has a right to be mad if i reject it. 2. Like a lot of branches, they do take most of $ if you get the position. 3. As previous reviewers mentioned, they leave you hanging if you don't get interview offer. The next time they called me, I told them I don't want a working relationship with them. Scenario: Person goes in to Robert Half Accounting with a solid, impressive resume; scores high on their tests; knows how to use tact and grace to communicate with people; and looks professional to boot. Result: Not one call and the person working there was snippy and cold. It's not even worth a shot trying at this place. For my first and only job at OfficeTeam within one or two days and they put me in a two month position at a fantastic company, which quickly turned into an over five month position. My recruiter, Kirsten, checks up regularly to ask how things are going and recently stopped by just to give the whole company a massive bag of Noah's bagels to thank them for using the temp service. I caught a unicorn with Robert Half FS. I moved to the Bay Area with no connections and no leads, just a vague dream of working as a financial analyst in a tech startup. With no previous industry experience, I had a better chance at winning the lottery than landing such a position. I shopped my resume around, reached out to friends, and tried various recruiters but just became steadily more discouraged. I found many recruiters would be incredibly friendly in the initial phone call, and even go so far as to set up a first meeting, but then drop me afterwards or just stop all communication. I didn't think I was that repelling.. Enter the fantastic Derek Feldshuh. I was actually passed on to him via another RHFS colleague whom I LinkedIn stalked -- so definite kudos for this amazing team that actually works together. From the get go I could tell he was different. He responded to my emails almost as soon as I'd sent them out, he'd call me as soon as he got to work, and he sent was proactive in sending me thoughtful positions that I may actually be interested in. Never did he try to shoehorn me into an obviously inappropriate position for a quick commission, nor did he lose interest when I refused to go into a typical finance position with my banking/consulting background. In fact, several times he counseled me against going for certain positions because they weren't what I'd expressed interest in. Towards the end of the first week he sent me a position that I was interested in and gave me quick feedback on scheduling. He prepped me before interviews, and called me immediately following them. Derek made the entire process painless, transparent, and always wanted to know what I thought and how I felt about the company. He was absolutely fantastic, and it's entirely thanks to him that I'm now at a fantastic place a mere two weeks after working with him. I will never hesitate to recommend him, and would definitely work with him again. read more

My experience at Robert Half eclipses every other experience I've had with a temp agency. Unlike several other reviewers who are just starting out in their careers, I am a woman over 50 who has lived and worked in the Bay Area since the 1980's. After losing a full time job at an insurance-related company that I'd had for almost 10 years I found myself on a bumpy road trying to find another stable job. Several staff members at Robert Half have patiently worked with me over the past two years to keep me working at least temporarily in the Finance sector and my current representative Tyler Korn and his team have shown themselves to be super stars at what they do. Tyler has been responsive, patient, and kept my spirits up at every twist and turn, making me feel like I was at the top of his list of people that he was trying to place. He has been consistent, reliable, and has responded quickly to every email or phone message. He has met with me personally to plan a strategy and leverage every element possible in securing a great job. He has insured I was prepared for interviews and has been almost relentless in securing feedback from interviewers. He and his team provide concierge service that you just don't see in this industry and Tyler sets a fantastic example for his team members to follow. They display his same integrity and caring, and have been very respectful of what I think I can bring to a job, my previous experience, and my ideas of what companies and job descriptions might be a good fit. Thanks to the hard work of Tyler and his team, I have just started a temp-to-perm position with a well-respected company in San Francisco's Financial District that would appear to be perfect for me. On Thursday, within 30 minutes of applying online, I got a call from Office Team and they scheduled an interview with me for the next day. The day after the interview I had an interview with a potential employer, and the following Wednesday I started my new job. Urvashi Kumar and Nicole Sher, from the OfficeTeam's Healthcare Group, were amazing. Nicole interviewed me and really took the time to get to know me: she took the time to understand what I was looking for, and took even more time to learn about the the skills I had to offer. She was an amazing advocate, and it really felt like she was fighting for me. Apparently she was, because I had a job before I knew it. In the process I didn't have as much contact with Urvashi, but I do believe she had a big hand in all of it and deserves much of the credit. She did drop by while I was working to say, "hi" and give me cookies, which says a lot. This review is a little in coming, but if Nicole and Urvashi are still there, reach out to them. I didn't work with Derrick much but I felt he was a fantastic guy and recruiter the few times we interacted. He listened and did his best for me. I didn't go on many interviews thru him but it was part my fault because I was too busy myself to keep in contact. Unlike Premier and Appleone, this is one big firm I did like. I reached out to a recruiter at The Creative Group as I saw they specialized in UX positions. I stated clear in my email that I was looking for UX Research positions. She then responded and said she had several UX positions but none were Research related, fine. She then calls me around 6:30 pm on a random weekday and leaves a voicemail saying that she had some positions that would interest me and that I should come down to the office and meet with her, what a bad decision. She had already looked at my portfolio and resume prior to our meeting and was asking the same old bs what do you like about UX and Research and what makes you blah blah blah. Long story short she says "Unfortunately at this time I don't have any positions that would be a fit for what you are looking for but you know what you are talking about and hopefully something comes up for you". ARE YOU KIDDING ME? You clearly called me in to make yourself look busy and to waste my time. The funny part is she said to look "spiffy", what a joke. ... read more
