Robert Half was able to find me a position that led to a permanent hire. Sounds great, right? Well, after that company laid me off a few years later, I went back to Robert Half to see if I could be placed again. They led me on with things like 'we'll look over your information and get back to you.' For weeks this kept happening, until I finally got someone to tell me the truth: because of the traffic violations on my background check, Robert Half will never represent me. Ever. For anything. RH is a bunch of stuck-up, high-and-mighty scumbags. EDIT: I don't care that Robert Half is 'sorry.' 'Sorry' doesn't find me a job. 'Sorry' doesn't resolve anything. 'Sorry' doesn't change the fact that Robert Half believes that only people with a perfectly spotless record are worthy of assistance or employment. It's a shame negative ratings aren't an option. The term 'gaslighting' was used by another member here and Quinn Mattheson is not only guilty of serious gaslighting, but also blatant lying and negligence. This has turned me away from using another staffing agency ever again. After a bkgnd check was run, they then told me they couldn't work with me. EVER. I'm giving 3 stars as a cross between 5 for an excellent experience with the Mpls office 5 years ago and an absolutely horrible experience in another TC location just recently. I've been a professional working with temp agencies for years. Everything is fast-paced and I'm more than happy to accommodate miscommunications that happen and items that do not quite get followed through on. The priority is the client...the employer...to ensure that their needs are met. In my attempt to make the best of a miss managed situation, the aftermath I can only describe the volley of verbiage from the office as gaslighting and being blacklisted by the office in a climate where my skills are in high demand. Eventually I attempted another contact with the office and was met by more gaslighting from another associate who attempted to school me on professional protocol related to the prior "misunderstanding." Umm, I'm pretty familiar with the protocol, thank you very much...what I am not familiar with is being asked to do something, then doing it, then being scolded by the recruiter the very next day for following her instructions...she seemed to have no recollection of giving previous day's instructions. I was prepared to simply chalk this up as a misunderstanding until I was told I was hearing things that were not said. How does one even begin to respond to passive aggression in that syrupy sweet professional tone? I'm fine. I'm even happy I didn't get pulled into that pejorative mess, because I accepted an offer elsewhere which pays double and matches my skills rather than undermines them. read more

They waited weeks to get in touch with me, emailed only after multiple attempts to get in contact. Interview process and organization was horrible. I would never recommend. read more

I had a number of experiences along my path to finding a job with robert half. the first time right out of college, they ran me through hours of tests that felt like the IT version of an SAT. afterwards we spoke filled out some forms and the job offers started piling in. at least so i thought. every time i called the recruiter was in a meeting or out of the office, and literally all of the "offers" i was seeing i was laughably under-qualified having just graduated. eventually i got sick of the BS and moved on. a couple years later I heard from one of their recruiters again, and figured a few years had past, perhaps the unprofessional recruiters had moved through the revolving door. they insisted that i come in to the office for an interview as my experience had greatly improved and new possibilities had arising. after making it in, and having a greatly useless conversation we went back to my first time all over again and i got a bunch off offers that weren't even close to my experience. i was getting low to mid level programming manager offers and others of the like despite being a systems admin and never once having had experience in programming beyond bat files and what other scripts. I ended up with another staffing company for 5 years and eventually found a place to call home on a permanent basis. Robert Half has no idea what they are doing, and have been coasting on their name alone from what I can tell for many years. Rude receptionist. 09/11/2018 Called OfficeTeam this morning to contact the staffing manager and reached the receptionist instead. I have trouble hearing on the phone and mistook her for the staffing manager. She was rude about it and proceeded to say her name in a nasty manner. She also continued to be rude throughout the entire call. Maybe she's had a bad day or simple just hates her job. However, she gives a bad vibe instantly with her attitude and needs to be more professional than this. read more

I was happy to see the one other review giving TCG five stars, because it suggests the problems I experienced are not company-wide or universal. I don't tend to write reviews because they are often emotional and their accuracy is questionable, but after months of frustration and giving them chance after chance to work with me, I feel like I need to push this upward - I also feel that I would get nowhere speaking to someone within the local organization, so there's little left except to make it public and see what happens. I also want to clarify that I'm not leaving a bad review out of spite or meanness. As a business owner this is the kind of thing I would want to hear about, so I'm sharing this on behalf of TCG as much as anyone who might consider them as a job seeker or as a hiring agent. I am a 25 year creative services vet with a pretty broad range of skills. I've been a manager for over half that time, but I'm hands-on, with solid proficiency in digital and print design and the related software. Four separate agents at TCG's Minneapolis office told me I was their ideal candidate, and should be able to find work quickly. That was in May of 2018. It is currently December and I've yet to be placed on assignment, having maybe half a dozen presented as possibilities in all that time. That alone wouldn't bother me. I'm not a perfect candidate for every creative job; I know my limits, and my resume, admittedly, casts a pretty wide net. While it wouldn't be an accurate assumption, it's entirely possible that I would be perceived as a "jack of all trades, master of none" by HR reps without an introduction or a cover letter. I've made some effort to provide TCG with resumes tailored to specific roles to get past that exact issue. My most significant problem is the lack of communication and partnering from TCG agents. My first contact was great for about a week then went dead silent. I found out later that she transitioned into a new role in sales, and later still discovered that she solicited my references on behalf of Robert Half and then lied to them about TCG placing me on assignment. I'm sure you can imagine how well that went over with me. She was replaced by my current agent. Again, very enthusiastic at first, but in the last couple months he won't even return my emails or voice mails, and hasn't presented me with any potential work. I've asked what I can do to help. Apparently, nothing more than the tailored resumes, which are "perfect" (clearly not). When confronted (kindly), I was told that I'm "too experienced," which is understandable for some positions but not for all. I've also been told that my resume is too management focused (what are they doing with my custom resumes, and where is the useful feedback?), that business is "slow", that their clients are ghosting them... many excuses, nothing actionable. My overall impression is that there isn't anyone actually advocating for me, they're just keeping me on a shelf in case a cash-cow opportunity magically appears in front of them. They do seem quite interested in me doing the legwork to find a full time career and then bringing it to them so they can use their contacts to get me in the door. And reap a substantial commission from the finders' fee. I don't blame them for that; who wouldn't want a fat paycheck for doing nothing? But contrasted with the lack of advocacy it leaves behind a bad taste. The other reviewer states that their agent was being very proactive. My experience is dead opposite. If I didn't harass my office from time to time, they could go out of business and I'd never know it. I've been filling my time with work through Office Team, and the difference has been like night and day. If I were looking for full time administrative work I'd be incredibly pleased with them - one person in particular has gone to surprising lengths on my behalf. They've provided everything TCG promised. TCG has only provided me with excuses, silence, and frustration. The most favorable recommendation I can give to anyone who might consider TCG as a partner on either side of the employment aisle is, "Proceed with great caution" read more

I don't usually give bad reviews unless it's really bad, and Robert Half Legal is a very bad staffing company. Here comes the story: I was contacted first by a legal recruiter who commented that my resume/experience and background is so good, then there're few positions that she thought might fit me, and I should go in for an interview. I went in for an interview, but I did not consent to give my SSN and tax information before even talking to anyone. The receptionist was very rude, she tore down all my other paper and threw them away on my face when she found out that I didn't want to fill in private info. before knowing there's job for me. After 20 mins waiting in the conference room, the recruiter walked in and we started chatting. She looked at my resume again(I really hope it's not the first time), and suprised that I am an attorney which was written many times on my resume. She was sorry that there wasn't anything for me on her list, because I am "overqualified". The second time they contacted me, I was with another employment. The opportunity they presented seem pretty good at the time, so I was interested but I would have to give a 2 week notice to my current employer. They told me in 2 days that "Things look as if they will be moving ahead", and they told me to quit my current employment. So I told them I wouldn't quit my job just because a potential opportunity looks as if it will be moving ahead, I will quit when I secure it! The recruiter got very upset and told me there're so many other qualified candidates, and I should let them know if I wasn't interested at the beginning. That's the whole story, I understand it must be tough being a sales, but we all need some professionalism and boundary no matter what employment we are in. Basic moral sense is still important even you work on commission and money is everything to you! read more

RUDE RECEPTIONIST 8/13/15 Walked in to refer a colleague who happened to be downtown with her resume. We just wanted to drop off a resume. The receptionist was outright rude. Gave us a dirty, unfriendly attitude and said "we don't work this way" and "I mean I could drop off the resume to the manager but I don't know what they can do" etc...What a douche. The least you could have done is nicely referred us to the damn website but you must seriously hate your job enough to have to be a douche about it too. My colleague will definitely find a job somewhere else! read more

Without a doubt the worst agency to work with. I've worked with many different staffing places and Robert Half TCG Office Team are the worst. Do not use them. None of the recruiters will get back to you ever. Any position you see posted and apply or call about they will not help you what so ever. Worked with them before and still can not get my emails or voicemails returned. Worked with them over a year ago and still haven't been help with a new position. I have to agree with Jeff H.'s review. I was told I was an ideal candidate as well, even did a phone interview so they could place me with a job that would fit my skill set. After that initial phone call, I never heard back about any positions and it's been months. I thought it was TCG's job to find creatives work positions not waste their time. read more

After registering with two other agencies the summer of 2016 who did very little to nothing for me I was pleasantly surprised by Robert Half Office Team. They are prompt, professional and do things properly. In addition, I get paid within a few days of filing my timesheet each week; this beats everyone else I have experienced. I received calls immediately from more than one recruiter and I have felt they are working on my behalf. I previously worked in education and my standards are very high. If you are wanting to transition into something different this would be a great place to start. read more

Do not waste your time on Robert Half Technology staffing firm. I have met with two of four different recruiters that I worked with and only one of them has sent me on an interview. When they meet with you they are insistent on getting a list of your references. I told the recruiter I would only give names of references when I received a job offer. This wasn't good enough. They are relentless until they get these names. They contacted one of mine and the female reference has since unLinked with me on LinkedIn because she did not want to hear from random recruiters. AND these people are only looking to build their contact list with companies to get their foot in the door. If you have a police record, even petty misdemeanors, they want you to tell them all about it but they say it won't affect your being able to get work. That is a lie. They held a DUI against me that I had over 15 years ago. I had to follow up with them to find out if I was submitted and he told me that my background check form wasn't in order and legal wouldn't like it if he submitted me for the position. If I hadn't followed up with him I would never have known he hadn't submitted me. He was just going to blow me off. Most staffing firms do background checks when you get a job offer, but this firm wants to do it before they ever present you. What a bunch of B.S. There are a lot of other firms out there to work with. Don't waste your time on Robert Half. read more

I can relate to previous ratings. The recruiters at Accountemps are pompous and leave you feeling inadequate when they realize you actually want a job that pay's what your worth. This is coming from someone with a wealth of experience in the industry I work in. I have attempted to find positions through them a couple of times in the past and each time has been a complete waste of time. The pay they offer is low in comparison to other staffing companies and they rarely get back to you after the initial "interview" they conduct. I applied to a position through them before and the recruiter basically told me I wasn't qualified enough. I then applied to that same position with the same company, through a different staffing agency and was hired for it that same week. To sum it up; if your a recent college grad that is just getting started, and willing to work for minimal pay, then Accountemps might be a fit for you. read more

After my hours were significantly reduced, I decided to try out a few creative staffing agencies. The Creative Group was the best by far. They were very thorough and professional. They took the time to look at my work and experience, and asked me a lot of questions to figure out where I wanted to be. I felt like they were being really proactive in trying to find a position for me rather than just waiting for something to come to them. Bri Dorale contacted me weekly even when there was nothing to report, kept me in the loop at all times and was quick to reply when I contacted her. The others would get in touch when they got a project they thought I'd be a good fit for and then never get back to me if the client wasn't interested. When I'd contact them I'd be lucky to get a "thanks for getting in touch" reply. And yes, they did find me a freelance job that I'm really excited about. I highly recommend them if you are wanting to join a staffing agency or are looking to hire. read more
