I've been doing IT consultant for about 15 years and I've been really impressed with the staff over at Insight Global (out of the Minneapolis region); they are actually located in Golden Valley. My first contact with Eric Slezak was a typical run-of-the-mill feeler if I wanted to do some consulting work for them. I said sure, but didn't have any high hopes. As the process rolled along and I got to working with their other staff, I realized that this is a well run outfit. I currently work with Katie Miller (tech recruiter) and Rachael Nelson (acct mgr) and they've placed me as a w2 contractor with a local client here in the Minneapolis area (as a high level network engineer). I am a month into a 1 year contract, Insight Global got me here. I had been working with other recruiting agencies for about 6 months, Insight Global was one of them. Most I worked with had poor communication at best and to my assumptions the projects that required placement kept pushing. This happened my first go around with Insight though they kept me up to speed. I ended up taking a full time job as I didn't want to wait around anymore, Insight though kept me in mind and when another opportunity popped up matching my skill sets Brian Peterson, my rectruiter reached out and got me excited, kept in the loop, and ended up securing a better contract then what I started interviewing for. I came to know Insight Global when they contacted me through one of the Job portals. They work with top tier clients and they've got me an oppurtunity to work with Verizon Business on a contract basis. It has been a wonderful experience as it has helped me acquire enhanced skillset and expanded my knowledge with middleware infrastructure. It has been a very long term project. It is my pleasure working with wonderful people at Insight Global. They're excited to receive calls and reminds me of Enterprise rental car representatives!
