I told her that I wanted to know what area of law, as there are certain areas I don't feel comfortable working. She just kept giving me vague responses. I made it very clear that I was not interested. She just kept pushing and even sent over my resume before telling me what the job was. When I told her no, she kept changing the title and the description. When I outright refused, she got very rude and told me that the company couldn't help me. Like the reviewer above, my first contact with agency was with a recruiter in the permanent placement division. I will not mention their name for professional reasons and I am trying to keep this review classy and helpful. The recruiter did a good job of selling several positions to me and advised that she would be contact with me in two business days. She gave me her contact information and told me to give her a call if I saw something on the roberthalf website. I followed up with this person several times with no response. I finally get a response from someone at this agency three months later only because I knew someone who was working at a company that was hiring through Roberthalf. My job at the time was deadened so I took this position. Eventually, I was let go from this positions that was no fault of my own after I was promised a full time position within 5 months. I've since been looking for another job on my own as I was low-balled twice in terms of pay with this agency. I'm sure people have had better luck with this company, but the temping business is not for me. read more

My interactions with Robert Half's Office Team were completely positive - starting out in April 2017. My first contact was with a temp-recruiter named Amy Geoghegan for an in-person interview at the Baltimore, inner-harbor HQ. I was also introduced to the permanent-placement recruiter Megan Hughes for another interview. By mid-April, I was brought on to work for a University as a temp. Within 2 & 1/2 weeks, I was hired as an employee for the college itself. Throughout the process, as a temp, I was given continuous logistical and in-person support by Baltimore Office Team including (in particular): Erin Rebarchick, Bryanna Marshall, and Amy Keitt. Did not get a job through them - I felt as though they did not listen to anything I said. I interviewed with a fresh-out-of-college recruiter who was clearly trying to compensate for her lack of experience by making me feel inferior: rude remarks about my previous experience in addition to saying things about my resume that weren't true. (I had a lot more experience than her....) I was told I'd be contacted by one of three recruiters every week about job opportunities, which I was. However, the majority of positions I was offered (1 per week - don't like it, wait until next week) were well below the acceptable pay that I had set during the interview. I also told them I did not have a car and they repeatedly offered me jobs far outside the city limits when they had agreed to search for me within the city. One of the recruiters was very sweet and helpful - the others were inattentive/abrupt. One, whose name I am taking the high road and not dropping, was downright condescending and unprofessional when I told her I did not want a week-long job placement that she insisted I take because, in her words, "...you help us and we'll help you". (I guess I missed the part where I'd end up helping them by giving them however many $ per hour of my paycheck...Apparently they think I owe them even more.) She haughtily asked why I wouldn't take it considering, again in her words, "...well, are you working right now or no?" I told her I had made it clear previously that I was not interested in extremely short term assignments, and her immediate reaction was to get me off the phone because she "needed to find someone for this assignment". A pretty deplorable way for a recruiter to treat someone while still expecting us to 'help' them out by working a job for THEIR financial benefit. There is no way OfficeTeam should allow their employees to become confrontational when someone does not accept a job offer. The people I dealt with, aside from Erin Bert who was very understanding and professional, did not care about helping me out- all they succeeded in doing was making sure I felt like nothing more than a number. read more

Recruiter calls me at 10 this morning, really pushing for an interview on a limited time position, really wants to see me today at 3 or tomorrow at 11. I have another interview tomorrow at 11, so I opted for today at 3, and the recruiter says he will email me directions, parking info, and most importantly a confirmation. Very unprofessional agency ! I was sent information regarding a temporary gov't position, and was told I needed to go through this company. I followed all the necessary steps, and was told I'd hear from someone for on boarding, and this was 6 weeks ago. I have sent emails to Amy, I have even called and left voicemails and she has yet to return my phone call OR emails in 6 weeks. STAY FAR AWAY. My experience with Robert Half was beyond AWFUL. The account representative I worked with was pushy, sneaky and straight up lied to me. I worked with an account executive and things started out okay-he did a Skype interview with me and seemed genuinely interested in finding me a good position. However, after the interview he became super pushy and would call/text/email several times a day with positions that did not match what I was looking for. When I explained that I didn't want to interview for these positions he seemed annoyed-like he just wanted to place me so he could get paid as soon as possible. He finally found a position that sounded promising and went to an interview that lasted all of 10 minutes, no questions about me or my background they just wanted a body to fill the position. After the interview he account representative from Robert Half called me, texted me and emailed me relentlessly-we're taking 10 messages within the first 2 hours after the interview! When I spoke with him, he told me that I had been offered the position. I received the online contact for the job and in 3 separate places it stated that the pay was $14 an hour. I accepted the offer based on that rate of pay.I started working full time for the company and randomly checked my pay stub one day and noticed that I was only being paid $12/hour. When I addressed this with the account rep, he claimed that the original offer of $14 was a "typo" and should've been 12 all along. He never apologized or admitted his mistake and told me there was nothing he could do. He claimed that the contract with the company was for $12 an hour and could not be changed and he couldn't provide me with any backpay. I was offered a monthly "bonus" (which I never received) to shut me up. This company does not care about finding a good fit for its candidates-they care about getting paid. Do yourself a STAY FAR AWAY. I would rather be unemployed than work with Robert Half ever again. read more

Then you see that all of their promises don't mean anything. They promise your position will be permanent, you get dropped. They promise to keep looking for opportunities, you don't from them. She never called to do the interview, and never responded to either the voicemail or email from me regarding why she never called. My firm hired a web developer through Robert Half earlier this year. He did a good job, so no complaints there. The client manager I worked with contacted me regularly and was always available if I needed to reach him. Also met with some of the other managers. They seem helpful, professional, and competent. Beware of the Officeteams in Cockeysville, MD and Baltimore, MD. Sometimes they have jobs, and most of the time they do not. However, they conduct unethical practices with their pay. They post the high paying jobs for $17-$20 to get applicants, and when you call to get submitted the recruiters bring the amount down by TWO to THREE dollars! People cannot survive paying their mortgage and bills on $13 an hour. Even if you inform them about the pay that they posted on their website, their response is that the pay range is for another posting. I came across a pretty generic job post from Robert Half representing a local business. It only asked for my resume and there was a sense of urgency to fill the job. I sent my resume, received a call the next day from a Robert Half recruiter. They asked me some questions then asked me to come in for an interview. During the interview, I had to fill out an application which was actually more like creating a profile with Robert Half for a new ongoing relationship with them. The recruiter barely talked about the job I applied for, did not provide much information about it as far as the client, the job itself, etc and did not have a very accurate salary range. In a nutshell, I was dragged down there just to sign up and create a profile and they had no intention of submitting me for the job I applied for. I think what happened was that they thought I was asking for too much money but they knew what I wanted before the interview was scheduled. After the interview, communication with the recruiter was mediocre at best. It was blatantly obvious they were just looking to fill quotas with sign-ups. read more

Awful service. I met with them in August 2014. They asked me for references, said they would contact the references immediately, and then start putting me up for jobs. They never contacted my references, and never put me up for a job until the end of December. They were supposed to be looking for full-time positions, but the job was a two week temp job.
