I had a very disappointing experience with Robert Half, and based on my experience, I would not recommend them to anyone actively looking for employment. I signed up with Robert Half at the beginning of July because I was actively seeking work and was under the impression that working with a staffing agency would provide additional support and access to employment opportunities. During the onboarding process, I provided all of the information requested of me, including references, and went through the necessary steps to get registered with them. I was also given the impression that they would be working to find me employment within a relatively short timeframe. A month and a half later, Robert Half has not found me employment. However, what bothers me more than that is the complete lack of communication throughout the process. I understand that no staffing agency can guarantee that a position will become available or that a candidate will be hired. What I do expect, however, is communication. Not once did someone proactively reach out to let me know they were still looking, ask whether I was still searching, provide an update, suggest other opportunities, or even simply check in. Every interaction after signing up was initiated by me. I consistently had to be the one reaching out. That made the entire onboarding process feel like a waste of time. Why request references and have candidates provide extensive information if there is going to be little to no follow-up afterward? If there are no suitable positions available, that is completely understandable--but communicating that takes very little effort. Leaving someone who came to your agency specifically because they need employment wondering whether anyone is even working on their behalf is not good service. What makes the experience even more disappointing is the comparison. I signed up with another staffing agency afterward, and within approximately one to two weeks, I had secured employment. The only reason that process even took that long was because the employer's hiring process did not begin until roughly two weeks later. The difference in responsiveness, follow-through, and actual results was significant. I did not expect Robert Half to magically produce a job overnight. I expected the level of service and communication that was presented to me when I signed up. Instead, after completing everything they asked of me, I received virtually no proactive communication and no meaningful assistance. For people who are unemployed and actively searching for work, time matters. Communication matters. Following through matters. Job seekers are already putting significant time and energy into applications, interviews, references, and paperwork. A staffing agency should make that process easier--not become another organization the candidate has to repeatedly chase for an update. Unfortunately, my experience with Robert Half was lackluster from beginning to end, and I would not refer a friend, family member, or colleague to them based on the service I received. If you are actively looking for employment, I would recommend exploring other staffing agencies that are more communicative, proactive, and engaged with their candidates. read more

Another waste of time "Job Agency" that won't find you a job and even if they could would barely be able to offer you pre-Covid pay. Asking for $20 an hour is a preposterous demand by a job seeker and RH doesn't want old, overqualified candidates, seems they would like the young 20 year old who can be exploited and fired at will. Same as all the other job services, lies to get you in and nothing to offer when you are in. read more

*Update* Gretel, you have messages blocked and I am not giving out my personal information on the internet. I would love to speak to a supervisor. Please contact me. Abbey H. and Claire at the Baltimore office have my number and email. Not impressed. The recruiter, Claire was pushy and rude. Refused to give me any information about the position from the onset. I told her that I wanted to know what area of law, as there are certain areas I don't feel comfortable working. She just kept giving me vague responses. I made it very clear that I was not interested. She just kept pushing and even sent over my resume before telling me what the job was. When I told her no, she kept changing the title and the description. When I outright refused, she got very rude and told me that the company couldn't help me. She told me to call back when I got desperate enough to take what she offered. read more

Robert Half assisted me with landing a great job position with an amazing company. They took away all the stress of looking for employment that would fit my needs. William Moos was my recruiter and he was awesome. He made sure I was prepared for my interview and made my onboarding process easy. He made sure I got the salary I requested and addressed any issues that may have come up. I would definitely recommend Robert Half to any looking for employment or seeking help in a career change. read more

This company bends over backwards for the companies they support. That's why the companies think they are wonderful. However, they bully applicants into doing what they need them to do vs what is best for the applicant. The Office Team in Baltimore is the worst! read more

Like the reviewer above, my first contact with agency was with a recruiter in the permanent placement division. I will not mention their name for professional reasons and I am trying to keep this review classy and helpful. The recruiter did a good job of selling several positions to me and advised that she would be contact with me in two business days. She gave me her contact information and told me to give her a call if I saw something on the roberthalf website. I followed up with this person several times with no response. I finally get a response from someone at this agency three months later only because I knew someone who was working at a company that was hiring through Roberthalf. My job at the time was deadened so I took this position. Eventually, I was let go from this positions that was no fault of my own after I was promised a full time position within 5 months. I've since been looking for another job on my own as I was low-balled twice in terms of pay with this agency. I'm sure people have had better luck with this company, but the temping business is not for me. read more

EDIT: Manager was very apologetic about the email not being sent, it was indeed an error on their end. Will possibly consider meeting with them in the future, not sure one way or the other.... Applied to this place through some online job board - I'm on like 50 so who knows which, I want to say MD Workforce Exchange boards. Recruiter calls me at 10 this morning, really pushing for an interview on a limited time position, really wants to see me today at 3 or tomorrow at 11. I have another interview tomorrow at 11, so I opted for today at 3, and the recruiter says he will email me directions, parking info, and most importantly a confirmation. Well, it's 2:25, and I still haven't received said email. Read a lot of negative things about their operations in CA, so, not shocked at this level of unprofessionalism. read more

My interactions with Robert Half's Office Team were completely positive - starting out in April 2017. My first contact was with a temp-recruiter named Amy Geoghegan for an in-person interview at the Baltimore, inner-harbor HQ. I was also introduced to the permanent-placement recruiter Megan Hughes for another interview. By mid-April, I was brought on to work for a University as a temp. Within 2 & 1/2 weeks, I was hired as an employee for the college itself. Throughout the process, as a temp, I was given continuous logistical and in-person support by Baltimore Office Team including (in particular): Erin Rebarchick, Bryanna Marshall, and Amy Keitt. I couldn't recommend the going with Robert Half's Office Team enough. read more

Did not get a job through them - I felt as though they did not listen to anything I said. I interviewed with a fresh-out-of-college recruiter who was clearly trying to compensate for her lack of experience by making me feel inferior: rude remarks about my previous experience in addition to saying things about my resume that weren't true. (I had a lot more experience than her....) I was told I'd be contacted by one of three recruiters every week about job opportunities, which I was. However, the majority of positions I was offered (1 per week - don't like it, wait until next week) were well below the acceptable pay that I had set during the interview. I also told them I did not have a car and they repeatedly offered me jobs far outside the city limits when they had agreed to search for me within the city. One of the recruiters was very sweet and helpful - the others were inattentive/abrupt. One, whose name I am taking the high road and not dropping, was downright condescending and unprofessional when I told her I did not want a week-long job placement that she insisted I take because, in her words, "...you help us and we'll help you". (I guess I missed the part where I'd end up helping them by giving them however many $ per hour of my paycheck...Apparently they think I owe them even more.) She haughtily asked why I wouldn't take it considering, again in her words, "...well, are you working right now or no?" I told her I had made it clear previously that I was not interested in extremely short term assignments, and her immediate reaction was to get me off the phone because she "needed to find someone for this assignment". A pretty deplorable way for a recruiter to treat someone while still expecting us to 'help' them out by working a job for THEIR financial benefit. There is no way OfficeTeam should allow their employees to become confrontational when someone does not accept a job offer. The people I dealt with, aside from Erin Bert who was very understanding and professional, did not care about helping me out- all they succeeded in doing was making sure I felt like nothing more than a number. read more

This is an awful staffing outfit. They are dishonest and called me only about the most insulting positions (i.e. driving to Frederick, MD when I live near Silver Spring for a basic temp assignment) when I have over ten years of senior-level paralegal experience in top firms in the greater D.C./Baltimore area. read more

Very unprofessional agency ! I was sent information regarding a temporary gov't position, and was told I needed to go through this company. I followed all the necessary steps, and was told I'd hear from someone for on boarding, and this was 6 weeks ago. I have sent emails to Amy, I have even called and left voicemails and she has yet to return my phone call OR emails in 6 weeks. This is very, very unprofessional, PLEASE don't bother applying with this company. read more

I had a terrible experience with Express Employment in Columbia, MD and had to find two workers at extremely short notice. OfficeTeam was able to fill my order and sent me two awesome workers that exceeded my expectations. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for personnel. read more

Robert Half seems like an amazing option for job seekers. Great opportunities, a staff who seem to be on your side, and a general sense of excitement at the prospect of starting something new. Then you see that all of their promises don't mean anything. They promise your position will be permanent, you get dropped. They promise to keep looking for opportunities, you don't from them. They say one thing on the phone, they say another thing a day later. At the end of the day, they don't care and they won't fight for you. read more

STAY FAR AWAY. My experience with Robert Half was beyond AWFUL. The account representative I worked with was pushy, sneaky and straight up lied to me. I worked with an account executive and things started out okay-he did a Skype interview with me and seemed genuinely interested in finding me a good position. However, after the interview he became super pushy and would call/text/email several times a day with positions that did not match what I was looking for. When I explained that I didn't want to interview for these positions he seemed annoyed-like he just wanted to place me so he could get paid as soon as possible. He finally found a position that sounded promising and went to an interview that lasted all of 10 minutes, no questions about me or my background they just wanted a body to fill the position. After the interview he account representative from Robert Half called me, texted me and emailed me relentlessly-we're taking 10 messages within the first 2 hours after the interview! When I spoke with him, he told me that I had been offered the position. I received the online contact for the job and in 3 separate places it stated that the pay was $14 an hour. I accepted the offer based on that rate of pay.I started working full time for the company and randomly checked my pay stub one day and noticed that I was only being paid $12/hour. When I addressed this with the account rep, he claimed that the original offer of $14 was a "typo" and should've been 12 all along. He never apologized or admitted his mistake and told me there was nothing he could do. He claimed that the contract with the company was for $12 an hour and could not be changed and he couldn't provide me with any backpay. I was offered a monthly "bonus" (which I never received) to shut me up. This company does not care about finding a good fit for its candidates-they care about getting paid. Do yourself a STAY FAR AWAY. I would rather be unemployed than work with Robert Half ever again. read more

Registered with this employment agency and they called to set up an interview. I had to reschedule initial date and the person gave me a new date to do a FaceTime interview. She never called to do the interview, and never responded to either the voicemail or email from me regarding why she never called. Very unprofessional for a business who is supposed to be finding work for applicants. read more

I was recommended to use Office Team by my husband who had used Robert Half to find a paralegal job. I mainly worked with Amy who was awesome and friendly and worked quickly to find a job that was well suited for me! I now work permanently at MICA and would never have found this position without their help. Occasionally, it took a while for them to get back to me through email, however, they were very professional and I would recommend them to anyone trying to find an office job quickly! read more

Beware of the Officeteams in Cockeysville, MD and Baltimore, MD. Sometimes they have jobs, and most of the time they do not. However, they conduct unethical practices with their pay. They post the high paying jobs for $17-$20 to get applicants, and when you call to get submitted the recruiters bring the amount down by TWO to THREE dollars! People cannot survive paying their mortgage and bills on $13 an hour. Even if you inform them about the pay that they posted on their website, their response is that the pay range is for another posting. Beware of the bait and switch and how to counter act the bait and switch. read more

I came across a pretty generic job post from Robert Half representing a local business. It only asked for my resume and there was a sense of urgency to fill the job. I sent my resume, received a call the next day from a Robert Half recruiter. They asked me some questions then asked me to come in for an interview. During the interview, I had to fill out an application which was actually more like creating a profile with Robert Half for a new ongoing relationship with them. The recruiter barely talked about the job I applied for, did not provide much information about it as far as the client, the job itself, etc and did not have a very accurate salary range. In a nutshell, I was dragged down there just to sign up and create a profile and they had no intention of submitting me for the job I applied for. I think what happened was that they thought I was asking for too much money but they knew what I wanted before the interview was scheduled. After the interview, communication with the recruiter was mediocre at best. It was blatantly obvious they were just looking to fill quotas with sign-ups. read more

Super trashy, they cater to trash. I went in to meet with a staffing agent and the other people waiting to meet for an interview were all dressed like they were going to WalMart. They didnt treat people with respect, you truly got the feeling that you were cattle. Yes, they give you tests on your computer skills which is to be expected but they also give you other tests that they dont warn you about, if you fail, you dont meet with a staffing agent read more

RHI Consulting the same as 20 years ago, They call me asked me all those ridiculous questions, the he said it great job, "I will send you all the information, about a job, I will meet the manager today, at the client site I will give you your resume personally" Then I never got an e-mail, I never got a phone call back. Same as 20 year ago except I even drove to Manhattan for the interview from a Scranton, Pennsylvania, med their general manager, the results are the same, They promise a lot never deliver, complete crap agency, do not even bother to apply with them you will be wasting your money and time read more

Awful service. I met with them in August 2014. They asked me for references, said they would contact the references immediately, and then start putting me up for jobs. They never contacted my references, and never put me up for a job until the end of December. They were supposed to be looking for full-time positions, but the job was a two week temp job. I let them know when the assignment ended, and they said they would be in touch. I never heard from them again. read more
