I waited to the last minute to pick out a sport jacket, suit, shirts and some ties for a wedding the wife and I had to attend in Charleston, SC. Honestly, I didn't want to go, but promised my wife, I would go and now it's find the clothes, I need to wear as a civilian or wear my outdated military mess-dress. Since, moving to Bradenton, FL, 6 years ago after spending 30 years in the military and 10 years as a Department Of the Army Civilian - all my suits, sports jackets, shirts, pants now didn't fit, were out-dated & we gave away to Christian groups or non-profits to distribute to those in need. I was already behind the power curve getting something to wear and apprehensive when I walked into Mens Wearhouse, because I hadn't shopped for any true business casual clothes or suits in many years. I had embraced fully the Florida dress style - shorts, summer collared & T-shirts with keen sandals/boat shoes. A smart dress savvy lady named "Julie" assisted my wife and I in finding all the proper clothes needed to wear to a pre-wedding social dinner and the actual wedding event both at "The Inn at Middleton Place," SC. I can't thank her enough for the time she spent with me and my wife getting the combinations of clothes that I could mix and match and saved a lot of money at the same time too. The Shop Manager "Ken" was able to get the suit Jacket sent from Texas over the weekend the day prior to us leaving and saved me in the end from my own procrastination. My comments are a bit long for the reader, but the bottom line is - If you want great customer service, needs clothes to look sharp and persons that I understand Men's Wear then visit 243 N. Amazing experience with Mark as our associate today…read more He helped me with some new purchases ( for myself and my husband ) and guided me through the new promotion. He also helped out my husband out with an exchange. We had gone to a previous 5.11 at a different location and the other associate gave some recommendations for our exchange issue on his pants. These did not remedy the issue and actually made it slightly worse. Not totally his fault, as he was just trying to help out. But all in all, super happy with our experience today. Mark absolutely saved it for myself and my husband, 100%. He was eager to help, personable, had great product knowledge, and efficient! What puts the store over the top, though, is the sales staff. I've NEVER gone in the store and not had A1 sales service . . . period. The guys and girls are sensitive to what I'm looking for, quick to respond to my tastes, and they don't take things "offensively". Some stores get offended with "I really don't like that", but these guys, they smile, they take whatever I don't like away, and are back with something closer to my tastes QUICKLY! They don't try to push a style or a brand. They push ME to get what I WANT. They put their efforts into finding what I WANT instead of trying to convince me something I don't want is what I need. I really like that. I shop there for my wife, my son, and me. I will admit that some of the clothing there is overly "trendy" for someone past the age of 40 BUT, given a little input, the sales people there will find something appropriate (but still pretty "hip") for about anyone.
