His staff is awesome, friendly, compassionate and caring while Dr. Getter is all of that and more being highly experienced, talented, personable (actually has a great sense of humor) and is great at making his patients feel at ease and alleviating any fears they may have. I was not even a patient yet and they ordered an x-ray before the appointment and my GP ordered an MRI before I saw Dr. Getter. After seeing Dr. Getter he immediately called Dr. Valente and asked him to see me immediately for a procedure treatment before he was even in the office. I am so happy I have found two doctors that have been proactive and today is day two after seeing these doctors and so far I am doing okay. I hope I will be okay until my next visit with Dr. Getter to be able to see what the result of the MRI is to determine what surgical action can be taken to fix my problem. It has already been determined that my problem can only be repaired with surgery. I am really very surprised that no one has added Dr. Getter or Dr. Valente to Yelp for reviews because both doctors are very, very good doctors and should be rewarded with good reviews!!!

I was Doctor Reiss's 1st patient that day. When entering the pre-operative unit, my pre-op nurse was waiting and very welcoming and progressing through her part of my procedure. While in pre-op I was visited by my anesthesiologist, Doctor Reiss, a nurse anesthetist who explained what his part was going in my procedure and answering all questions. Upon arrival in the operating room, I was greeted by least 4 nurses. My nurse anesthetist was there again explaining what he was doing and lights out. The floor nurse was great. Then the PT and OP ladies helped in getting me cleared to go home. Couldn't ask for a better hospital or staff! Thanks to all; Sam

I moved from VA to FL recently and needed to find someone to continue my pain and spine treatment…read more I had Radiofrequency Ablation (RFA) in VA and needed to find a doctor in FL to administer the RFA again as my neck really began to hurt again. I asked repeatedly for them to obtain my records from my previous doctor so they would know where to do the ablation again (not entirely their fault as my previous doctor's office was unresponsive for weeks). Prior to getting the records they gave me facet join injections as a diagnostic measure to see where they needed to do the RFA again. Mind you the doctor simply looked at me to make this determination and did no examination of me. Didn't even feel my neck or back. Anyway, the injections did nothing. I feel worse in fact. I have called repeatedly for weeks for a muscle relaxer to be called in until I can have the RFA again and no one will call me back. I don't understand why you would administer a diagnostic procedure before checking my records to see where I had the RFA done before (since that actually worked). Anyway I'm going to have to find a new spine and pain doctor in FL. Also, when I called to cancel my next appointment and told them I wasn't happy with their treatment up to this point the receptionist said okay, well we wish you luck. Didn't even ask why. Goes to show they are used to this kind of thing.

Dr. L.K. Valente was referred to me by Dr. Robert Getter, M.D., Spine Specialist. I have been in…read moreexcruciating pain and was unable to get an appointment right away but Dr. Getter got me in as soon as possible. He contacted Dr. Valente before he started his hours and said he needed to see me urgently for an injection procedure as soon as possible and sent me right over to him. Dr. Valente gave me his utmost attention and explained everything he was going to do. He also said the procedure might not work but it might also work but he couldn't promise it would. He also gave prescription medicine for nerve pain to help. This day was not a normal day for procedures so he had to gather staff to assist with the procedure. He is an excellent doctor in explaining everything and works well with Dr. Getter. I feel I really lucked out with two very good doctors and I hope more people will review both of these doctors in the future. Neither of these doctors was listed on Yelp and I felt the need to list them. Not all doctors or centers are perfect and I hope people will keep in mind when writing a review. It is not fair to make a bad judgment or remark because no person or company is perfect.

I left three messages for Jenifer in the financial department with zero return calls. In the end my surgery was canceled without my knowledge the night before the surgery date due to nonpayment, I was unaware that I could not provide payment at time of intake. I had to return to my personal doctor for a new referral. Long story short I am still walking around with a broken hand three weeks later. The pain is unreal but the Advanced Orthopedic center could not care less.
