Called my insurance and didn't need pre approval for this type of surgery. They harassed us about it and told us our insurance will deny surgery. Advanced Orthopedic Center will waste your money on all those co-pays for no reason. Don't trust this office , they have no clue. Had a second opinion and received my surgery with no hassle.

I was Doctor Reiss's 1st patient that day. When entering the pre-operative unit, my pre-op nurse was waiting and very welcoming and progressing through her part of my procedure. While in pre-op I was visited by my anesthesiologist, Doctor Reiss, a nurse anesthetist who explained what his part was going in my procedure and answering all questions. Upon arrival in the operating room, I was greeted by least 4 nurses. My nurse anesthetist was there again explaining what he was doing and lights out. The floor nurse was great. Then the PT and OP ladies helped in getting me cleared to go home. Couldn't ask for a better hospital or staff! Thanks to all; Sam

My surgeon was Dr Gebauer who was very professional from start to finish and did a fantastic job repairing my spine. He gave me all the information I needed to make my decisions concerning surgery and its alternatives. I had great care from all the nurses from surgical to room nurses. She needed a walker to get around and even with a walker her mobility was limited and she was destined for a mobility chair. Her physician in Maryland suggested swimming as an exercise to improve her mobility and ease her pain. Her family doctor here suggested a visit to an orthopedist who showed us the arthritis in her knees had progressed to "bone -on-bone". After a cortisone shot and gel shot with no improvement, a dear friend suggested "her doctor's" practice. We met Dr. Joseph Noah and he advised total knee replacement for both knees. We opted for one at a time and now one year after arriving here, my sister's legs are straight and she is walking unassisted. The walker is retired!! I would seek assistance from Dr. Joseph Noah for any orthopedic issue and I would recommend him and his incredibly efficient and caring office staff to ANY member of my family or ANY of my friends. What I appreciate most about their practice is that they prescribe physical therapy if they think it may avoid surgery. I was suspicious of orthopedists previously (they are surgeons) and reluctant to go for help. I have been successfully treated twice previously for shoulder and foot injuries and am starting therapy now for a foot and ankle injury. I am optimistic that it will be successful too since they have excellent physical therapists. They also helped our son avoid neck surgery. I have heard only favorable comments from patients in post-surgical therapy. I do not hesitate to recommend the doctors and physical therapists at this practice. The practice is very busy as is true for all the better medical sources in our area. The influx of retirees, seasonal people and vacationers who flood our local infrastructure are often impatient with their demands and unrealistic expectations. Their numbers and demands often stress the doctors and support staff, and disappoint patients with the difficulty to get appointments or the necessity of imprecise appointments as they try to accommodate all patients.

I left three messages for Jenifer in the financial department with zero return calls. In the end my surgery was canceled without my knowledge the night before the surgery date due to nonpayment, I was unaware that I could not provide payment at time of intake. I had to return to my personal doctor for a new referral. Long story short I am still walking around with a broken hand three weeks later. The pain is unreal but the Advanced Orthopedic center could not care less.
