Fire truck themed!
Marcus L.

We tried visiting this park a couple months ago but it was completely fenced off. I didn't realize that they were in the process of completely redoing it! This brand spankin' new fire truck-themed playground is great! It's also right next door to a working fire station. There's a smaller playground structure and one for the bigger kids. And both are well shaded! There's no sand anymore and that has been replaced with cushy ground surface. And there's a pretty epic Dalmatian statue to take photos with. The smaller firetruck playground structure is great for toddlers and smaller children. It is easy to climb, has small slides, steering wheels, and knobs to turn. The larger structure is a bit more advanced with larger slides, monkey bars, and a climbing area. Our 2 year old enjoyed playing between both, but couldn't do as many activities as she could on the smaller structure. Another unique feature that I haven't seen before are the double swings that face each other. One side is for smaller kids and the other for an older child or parent. I just wish the swings were shaded like the rest since the sun was pretty intense. There's shaded long metal picnic tables, small basketball court, and a large grassy area for walking your dog. A fire truck was returning to the station while we were there and all the kids lost their mind. A funny sight to see! The rumor is you may be able to take a tour of the fire station but we didn't get the chance. While the playground may be on the smaller side, it has a fun theme going on. If your toddler or child is a fire truck fan, I would put this on your list of playgrounds to visit. There's no parking lot, but plenty of street parking around the park. I don't think the bathrooms were updated since they seemed a little run down and dirty. Plus, some of the stall locks were broken. Hopefully they renovate these soon.

This is a great park. I wish the bathrooms were clean and had a baby changing station.

The area is large. It has restrooms. The play area is fire truck themed. There is a large grassy area & one basketball rim.

This park might be my least favorite in the City of Burbank. Located next to a fire station, it's quite small and has very limited amenities. It has two playgrounds, one for toddlers and the other one, for young kids. There are two picnic areas, one is covered while the other is under the sun. The grass area can be used for frisbee and ballgames. There's also a half basketball court and a restroom. That's about it, nothing more, nothing less. This isn't a park that residents from nearby areas will consider to book parties as there are other better parks in the City of Burbank. Having said that, I think this park is beneficial only to the residents of the surrounding apartment buildings. Lots of street parking available though if you'll consider visiting.

Nice amount of shade, not busy, great for toddlers

If you have toddlers, this park is perfect! Lots of seating IN THE SHADE. Lots of new equipment for kids IN THE SHADE, no homeless camping, no dogs making the grass disgusting and the space unsafe (at least the days we went), and very cute fire station theme! We go early and the crowd is always very young kids 4 and under.

This is such a nice, simple park with a fun, updated playground with shade awnings over the whole thing. Lots of benches and picnic tables though most times we visited there were other adults sitting at some of the tables, but never crowded. The neighborhood is residential but the fire department next door made us feel a little more safe. Street parking is easy. Bathrooms are standard park bathrooms and a little gross with kids but do the job.

I liked the equipment that they had at this park nothing special a good playground equipment for kids between the ages of about two and five they had some fun things to climb in some things you could touch that would make music there was a lot of sand which I'm not a big fan of. There are some nice picnic benches that are covered in the playground is covered so it would be nice for a kids birthday party. It doesn't have any parking is he do you have to walk a little ways from where you can park on the street to the playground. There's a lot of grass but you can't play anything on it unless you have a permit so it's kind of pointless except it looks nice.

This park has a nice large grassy field. Perfect to throw or kick a ball around. It's large enough to play group Frisbee. :) There are two separate play areas. One for ages 2-5 and the other 5-9. The younger side also has a fire truck structure to play in. The steering wheels are gone and have been replaced by a poorly drawn wheel. Most likely by a kid. This small detail depreciates the park. This park also has a covered picnic area and a half court for basketball. Overall decent but a bit neglected. The major pluses are the large grassy field and covered eating area.

Love the fire truck...

For all the moms looking to find new playgrounds for their kiddos, i thought a newer review for this park would help. I went on a Saturday (3pm-ish) as a playdate meetup. Safety - first off, we arrived to find 2-3 cop cars surrounding a homeless person about a block away. Didn't bring any warm fuzzies for the quality of the neighborhood but it could have just been bad coincidence?... - that said, this park is literally next to a fire station. - there's a low fence surrounding the park so enthusiastic toddlers (and pets) must find the openings before running to the street. - not being familiar with this neighborhood, i would recommend coming with other friends... safety in numbers. (And i could just be paranoid) Playground - love the fire truck structure. Adults can even fit on it. Just saying. - great to have a toddler (2-5yr) and big kids playground separated but nearby. - swings are oddly separated by the picnic tables and had no baby swings. Since a party took up the whole picnic area, we didn't even get close. - not a whole lot to the actual play structure, so play time is probably an hour or so before kids start getting bored. Partys - not sure if you can easily reserve the covered picnic area but it's a decent spot and had a hot coals trash... but it looked like you needed your own grill. - I'd say a definite contender for Firefighter Themed parties! - open field would be awesome for flag football or soccer I give this park 3/5 because of the slight safety apprehension. If i was alone with two small kiddies, I'd probably go elsewhere.

With all the busy world you need a Mother Nature sense of being just like going to the beach to reenergize yourself to release negative energy and place positive energy by walking on the grass for 15 minutes does the trick you need to take time to do that for yourself. Happy new year kindness forward. This is great for your little one i highly recommend this park.

There are two picnic areas to choose from: Picnic area #1 is roofed while Picnic area #2 is under the trees. What do people love about this place? There are two playgrounds here: one is for kids aged 2-5 while the bigger one is for children aged 5-12. There is also a childcare facility and restroom which is very accessible wherever side of the park you may be. There is also tons of street parking. For the sports buff, there is a tennis court, basketball court, and a football field with stadium. The park could get really busy any moment of the day so if you're planning a party, come early. A group of 20 or less no permit but must come early to secure spot. There are also lots of cool places to visit nearby. It is right next to Valhalla cemetery where the Portal of Wings is located. It is also beside the Armory where army tanks, jeeps and trucks are parked. There is also a shrine dedicated to Larry Maxam, a Burbank hero who served during the Vietnam war. The only downside of this place is being too close to the airport. It is actually along the path of airplanes taking off. Kids do really get excited in the sight of jumbo airplanes right above your head but it could get really loud when it passes by.
