This is a locally owned family business. Robert's son, Clayton came to my house and fixed a leaking shower, installed a kitchen faucet, and changed the cut offs. Clayton is an exceptionally nice human and very knowledgeable at his craft. He was in and out in a couple of hours. Plumbing repair is expensive. Plain and simple. However, I thought the pricing was fair and shopping around probably would not have changed the price point much. Used this company for years with a somewhat positive experience. However they came today, told me I just needed a flapper in toilet tank. Then told me they are no longer charging by the hour but have a "menu" of items and just depends where your need falls. So i was charged over 300$ to replace a flapper! And they wanted permission to walk thru my house and decide if they thought other repairs needed to be made. Really? So close to holiday had no choice. But never again. I wish I could give zero stars. Called and explained what the issue was with my shower. I already had a different plumber out that was not able to fix the issue, but they were able to identify the problem and let me know. When I called to make the appointment, I told them exactly what the other plumber had told me the problem was. Robert Brown Plumbing sent out two guys that were at my house for 20 minutes. They told me the exact same information that I already knew and told me that they weren't able to fix it that day and would need to order new parts to fix the shower. They said they would be in touch with me about ordering the parts and next steps. They charged me $200 and they were in my house for 20 mins. I NEVER HEARD BACK FROM THEM. That's poor business. Even if you aren't able to fix the problem or order the part, you still let someone know. Especially after you charged them $200 for essentially nothing. read more

Please save yourself some grief and do not use this company. I had water seeping up through my kitchen floor (and still do). I called them out to take a look. They simply pulled out my refrigerator, said the water line wasn't wet and they had no idea where the water could be coming from, charged me $140 for a full hour, and then left. They were literally at my home for about 15 minutes. They did not troubleshoot in any way or spend any time and acted like it was not their problem. read more

Woke up to flooded bathroom. Instead of draining, toilet overflowed. Additional bathroom on the same line had bathtub half filled with water from backed up drain. Called the company's emergency line and they were here within a relatively short time (during a season when there were lots of busted pipes from a hard freeze) and were able to rooter out the drain line. It was clogged with roots. And finally, their emergency response rate was truly affordable. We will definitely use their services in the future! read more

Wow! Jon & Jeremy did an amazing job. Thanksgiving week I called at noon and got a same day appointment. My water heater was a total loss and they researched my warranty and got me a new unit at no cost with a new warranty. They had to come back the next morning with the new unit and showed up at the exact minute they promised. Installation was quick and they were very professional. I will certainly be keeping their number loaded and will use their service again God forbid I have another breakdown in the future. read more

A difficult hose bib was changed out from an exterior wall and a dispos-all was installed. A mineralled-up toilet was evaluated and a chemical fix tentatively suggested to try to save it. I have used Robert Brown Pluming 3 times since I have lived in this house the first time Mr joe was very helpful and fixed the problem, a little pricey but problem fixed. So of course I would call them again. The 2nd time they were a hour late and Mr. Joe got upset with me when I asked for a detailed work order because I had to replace the water heater and it was super pricey ( I had gotten other quotes lower) The 3rd time they worked on the kitchen sink and replaced pipes. that was a $400 job and we have been having trouble with it since. It has been about 9 months since that work was done. I called them yesterday to come out Mr Joe said he would be out after lunch and NO ONE CAME and NO ONE CALLED. So I called this morning and asked what happened and I was told that he would call me back when he comes in from a job. Still NO CALL that was 3 hours ago. read more

We had a plumbing problem that Previous plumbing company told us we were going to need all new pipes and tear up the floors and this would be several thousand dollars due to broken pipes under the slab. Then this company would not even get back to us with a quote. So we chose to call Brown's plumbing to get a quote and see about replacing the whole plumbing system. Mr. Brown personally came by and even called to let us know he was on his way. (Which I thought was nice because we had a baby napping) he walked the house and even got on the floor, looked at everything and asked if the previous plumbers ran a snake or looked for a clog in the vent pipe on the roof. NO they had not so he simply said he would have a guy in the morning come and check that first. So the very next morning first thing another phone call to let us know they were on way, plumber showed up, very friendly, went on roof and ran snake in the vent pipe and the leak was fixed. As well as all the drains in the house working 100 times better, the laundry room drain even was fixed and not overflowing when washing a load of laundry. I recommend any company that the person whose name is on the truck is the actual one who shows up to resolve a problem that two other big name local plumbing companies could not.
