I've been an avid protestor of going to the dentist. I mean, I rarely floss. First world anarchy,…read moreright? But sometimes, I cave in, and I go... but this office will have me coming back. I was tended to by Shaundra, the hygienist, who was very accommodating and great at her job. I mean, her job is to use sharp tools to get the plaque off your teeth, which can hurt mind you, but can be done correctly with minimal pain. She definitely took care of me, was constantly asking if I was good, and was sympathetic when inducing what little pain there was. In past dental experiences, most hygienists will try to get you out in one cleaning. That means, taking whatever steps necessary, as painful as they may be, to get all the plaque off your teeth and gums. Shaundra, however, knew that I probably wouldn't be able to handle all the pain in one go, but instead insisted that I go home, floss as much as possible, and come back for a second cleaning 2 weeks later. Let me preface by saying that she made sure my insurance would cover me before making such a decision. Honestly, this kind of problem-solving and decision making is key to any client's well-being. I'm very glad that she decided to split my cleaning into two different sessions. Thank you to RFD and their staff. I will be returning with referrals.

I went to Aspen in severe pain from an infected tooth. They did a thorough review of my whole…read moremouth and proposed lots of future procedures. They gave me a script for antibiotics. when I asked if they could give me a script for pain meds, I was told that they don't ever prescribe narcotics. They told me to keep taking ibuprofen, which wasnt helping with the severe pain, and that the pain would go away once the antibiotics cured the infection. I went to Aspen expecting to get some pain relief and got none. I guess the corporation is so intimidated by the DEA that they would rather let patients suffer than prescribe pain meds. They wouldn't even give me some novocaine for temporary relief. If you want a dentist who is very thorough but wont help with dental pain, this is the place. Their policy is ridiculous and they won't see me again. I'm still in agony because of their stupid ass covering pain med policy. Thanks for nothing.
