First I love how it is an all female practice. All the women works so well together. I never had a bad appointment too. My experience with my main OB:l had my second daughter here with Dr.Swartzman. She is amazing, she always listened to my concern and address it with professionalism. Sometimes even a little bit of mom-like. I really loved her and her nurse! My experience with front desk and back office: omg, everyone is extremely nice here. That says a lot from me cause I was very pregnant and never a happy campers. 1) The front desks suggested that I schedule everything in advance so I got the appointment that I wanted. They remember my name, I didn't even have to tell them my name. If your doctor is running behind, they tell you! This is what every practice should do! 2) The billing department is extremely professional and always answered my questions. Always friendly, never had a bad communication with them Overall: I loved this place. I recommended multiple people. I never realize an OBs office can be like this! Highly recommend this office. After waiting a significant time on hold when she answered she was immediately rude and condescending. I had questions about what type of appointment my needs would be and she scoffed at my lack of understanding. She then told me I would need to find my birth control records from over 10 years ago to even schedule an appointment. I asked why and she told me her providers are so booked in advance I should just try somewhere else and hung up. I'm sure the providers here are lovely but you seriously need a new receptionist. She's the first person people speak to so she's the face of your company and it's not a nice face.

She was - and continues to be - nothing short of amazing. Empathic, kind, clearly well-educated, with a courteous and committed staff - every appointment there is something I have great experiences with. In fact, after my first appointment with Dr. Wittek, I literally sat in the parking lot in my car and called 4 or 5 of my close girlfriends and told them they instantly needed to change OB/GYNs and go see Dr. Wittek. Every one of them did, and every one of them has had an experience similar to mine - they LOVE her. Dr. Wittek, like me, is a mom and has young children. She knows the challenges motherhood presents and understands well the concerns that all of us have. I have found her to be nothing short of magnificent and can't recommend her highly enough. She is an incredible physician, and a great caregiver, and a delightful person - in every sense.

I think he ran from his office to the hospital ; - ) There are times when the doctors are called out to the adjacent hospital ( Overland Park Regional) and the other providers have to fill in - when that happens scheduling does a great job of alerting you so that you can reschedule or see another provider. Friendly nursing, administrative staff and billing staff. Accessible online portal. Billing staff is great and the office is kid friendly and clean.

They tell you on the phone when you schedule and also have you sign a legally binding contract to let you know they will nickel and dime you for every darn thing you unfortunately had scheduled for your nether-regions in the first place. But these people can call you 15 minutes before your appointment, you know, the one you're literally almost at, the one you found someone to watch your kids for to only have them call and say that the OB is tied up in a birth. I'm sorry, was the practice unaware an hour prior when I was sent check in paperwork, or how about 30 mins prior when the doctor was obviously still not there and ready!?! 15 friggen minutes. Be better if you expect your patients to do the same. My time is just as valuable as yours.

The referral location repeatedly said they never received the referral, and I had to call four separate times to get it resent. After nine months of trying, I finally got the HSG done elsewhere. Since then, I have been rescheduled five times for a PCT test. Every cancellation has been the day of or the day before, despite the test requiring strict timing and time off work. I even arranged with my employer to adjust my schedule for a last-minute change, and that appointment was also canceled. This level of disorganization is unacceptable, especially for patients dealing with time-sensitive fertility testing. It is clear this practice cannot reliably manage appointments or support patients through an already stressful process. I will be seeking care elsewhere and would caution others to be aware of these repeated issues.

Dr Joan Schieber was referred to me by a friend and when I went she sat me down like I was in…read moretherapy which was fine as I want my Dr to know my life but when I told her I was 25 and want 5 kids she told me to come next appointment with a "plan b" as I was "getting up there in age and wasn't in a serious relationship" yet and needed to think about a plan B because of my age and relationship status. I let that go as I had heard great things but once I started getting with my friend who was a nurse she asked me if I knew he was safe to hook with I said "yeah he's a nurse so he knows what to do" her response was extremely judgmental saying that she's never heard of a nursing job that required STD testing...not what I meant at all...I just meant he's a nurse and knew the importance of testing. From there I ended up having skin issues (after further testing with another doc realized it was allergies) and she refused to test me after having me take off work to get a biopsy because she said I was be in "immense pain and not worth it" which is nuts because I finally switched to a specialist at KU and found out it was allergies and cleared it up. Unfortunately I just never felt heard or seen at St Luke's with her and I felt very judged and given up on.

I actually lovrd her and felt heard for the first time. However, she was the only one in the practice that would prescribe bio identical HRT. Getting refills was always a nightmare, but this time after two days of their phones being out, I find she is no longer employed there and there is no other doctor that will prescribe them. I find this out AFTER I'm in need. NO WARNING. Oh, and the post card they send to remind you of appointments so this doesn't happen. Guess they opted not to send the ones for the doc that left. no help at all.
