He has apparently sold his practice to Dr. Jessica Weber. (Her name is now on the door.) Anyhow, Jenny the lovely receptionist is still there. She greeted me with a hug. I got an appointment the same day, and only had to leave work an hour early. Dr. Weber is great. She took some X-rays to make sure the tooth was OK before referring me to an endodontist that I had seen before. We talked about another tooth I had cracked (but, ignored). She glued my crown back on, and I returned two days later for a much needed cleaning. I don't know why I waited so long. Time just escaped me. I'll miss Dr. Barnett, but l am happy he trusted the care of his patients to Dr. Weber's care.

We were also impressed that Dr. Maarouf had a helper for the entire cleaning. During my visit, Dr. Maarouf noticed one of my fillings was compromised. Yesterday, she repaired the filling. She was going to numb the area, but I talked it through with her and advised doing the filling without any numbing. Worked out great. I appreciated her demeanor and willingness to accommodate me. When he injected the local anesthetic into my cheek, I was surprised by how gentle he was and how painless the anesthetic was. He made sure to not rush the injection so it wouldn't hurt. I thought I cracked a tooth, called the office, requested an emergency appointment (evaluation only -no treatment) and was given an afternoon appointment. I arrived on time, had to wait in the hallway for about 15 minutes (no folding chair provided) and then was seated in the dentists chair for 30 minutes while Dr.Yi was attending to other patients. Dad said OK and the final bill ended up being over $6,000, which she would not discount when my father freaked out about the bill. After the work no one in the practice called to check up on him, we haven't received any notices for even follow-up cleanings. And the bottom dentures didn't fit properly and caused pain. It took my father a year to pay off the debt from his social security. Plus the work they did isn't good -- his bottom denture doesn't fit properly and he is still experiencing tooth pain. Instead of a discount, the practice charged him nearly twice what insurance would have allowed. They just took his money and ran.

When visiting dermatologists in the past, I would often spend more time with the nurse than the actual doctor. Dr. Edwards entered the room, sat and listened to my acne life story from beginning to end. Her genuine concern and determination to provide a lasting solution was so comforting. The initial regimen she subscribed didn't provide the results she was satisfied with, so on the next few visits she tweaked the regimen until she was satisfied with the results. But the visits weren't all about her satisfaction! Dr. Edwards informed me that she was quite the perfectionist and told me to slow her down or say pause if it seemed like she was seeking perfection beyond my comfort zone. As months went by, my face totally cleared up. I've suffered with acne off and on since I was 15 years old and my face has NEVER looked this good. I've had a clear face before, but there would always be bumps under the surface. My complexion is as close to flawless as I've ever experienced. In my first visit, I was almost in tears due to the severity of my acne. I would cry myself to sleep each night and didn't want to leave the house during the day. My most recent visit to Dr. Edwards left both of us hugging each other and feeling relieved at how much my life had changed as a result of her efforts to clear my skin. I will pay any amount of money to continue seeing Dr. Edwards.
