In the lobby was free coffee and a pool table. There's a code to enter the front door and to the apartment, and while we were there, the place was very quiet. We had to park on the street, very limited there and the outside area was a little sketchy. Because the parking situation was such a hassle, I decided to go with 3 stars.

The woman is the office is incompetent unprofessional, unreliable and absurd. They couldn't find my contract or my months of saved credit. They couldn't remember anything about my situation- which was not complicated- despite me calling time and time again to resolve the error THEY made. Since they couldn't find my contract or my credit over 300 dollars worth- I requested that they make sure my items were still in my garage ( I moved cross country and use it as storage). The woman in the office was petty enough to take a picture of the closed garage door, which obviously has no windows, and then email me and say- "I hope this helps you sleep better at night." In what sane world does a picture of a closed door with no view of the items inside give anyone a peace of mind that the items are still there?!? My sister drove three hours round trip that night to make sure my things were still there. They always said they would get right back to me- and they NEVER returned my calls and acted shocked when I called to follow up. It has been OVER a month and I have not received one phone call or email from them except for the snide emails from the woman in the office with the useless pictures. I just called and she had NO idea what I was calling about and told me she would call me right back. I'm still waiting... Excuses, lies and incompetence is all you will get if you move here.

They will find ways to do it too. Those fun new lights in the common space? You pay to keep them on. Billed monthly. I should have gone down and flipped them off every night. Want a working elevator? Of the 12 months we lived there, 1 or both elevators was down in 6 different months. For the last month, both were out of their LNI inspection window. Im not usually nervous on elevators. Those ones made me understand that specific fear. Big time. Do you have a dog? Get ready to pay to have all your carpets replaced at a charge that is eye-watering! Ours is clean, never peed on anything, ever, and we still got to replace 100% of the carpets because they were apparently completely ruined. I want the old carpet then, if Im paying for it Bella. That carpet was fine. It can come live in my new place. Oh, and we got charged for odor treating those same carpets which feels weird to me, you know? Why are we paying to have carpets that are ruined and needing replaced get odor treated? Seems weird, doesnt it? Maybe the new carpets were stinky and needed odor treatment. Still not sure I want to pay for that though. Tovah Hammer is also nice and full of little fibs. You know those little white lies you tell to make a BS answer more sweet? Well she sure does! Its probably on some level her job to keep ownership and their mass of ungrateful tenants at arms length from one another, but it can be pretty frustrating to deal with. And we had to. First they sent us a letter 4 months before the end of our lease saying we had 30 days to renew for a full year or we could get evicted. Felt a bit aggressive, but okay. I went to talk to Tovah, because at the time, we were on a timeline where the full year didnt make sense for us but we could do 6 months. We could even do 8. Tovah told me she couldn't do anything for less than 12 months because of WA states "new laws". She acted soooooo apologetic. How awful. Literally nothing could be done. Im still not sure what she meant there. Still cant find this new legislation restricting people from signing a lease less than 1 year. When I asked her what we should do, her honest to God advice was to just sign the new lease for a year and if we have to break it, do that (and pay a 3 month penalty of course, no big, youre good for that cash, right?) Uh, no. No way. Listen, Im writing this after receiving a pretty nasty email from them. I am bitter, I wont lie. But I dont usually do this either. I dont Review Bomb businesses. This one deserves it. I cant tell you how many conversations I had with other tenants that almost unanimously agreed that this place aint it. For one reason or another, every single tenant I talked to was dissatisfied and looking to move. One of my best memories of the place will be the day 6 of us got jammed up in the elevator as it clunked and clanked along for dear life, as we laughed about the entire experience. Everyone on that elevator was a one-year and done. If you have any other housing options. Take them. Save yourself the money Save yourself the headache. Other than Vitaliy. Good job by you, Vitaliy!

I was fortunate enough to be able to rent one of the best units (top floor, 2-bedroom with full water view and large balcony). It was amazing! The only reason I am leaving is because I bought a house otherwise I would have renewed in a heart beat! The apartment is gorgeous. Feels more like a condo more than an apartment. It has large windows, a lot of space and had brand new carpet when I moved in. The only minor critique I would make is the counter tops are Formica which cheapens the overall look of the apartment but I noticed they have been upgrading them in other units so it's only a matter of time before my unit gets them as well. The complex is incredible. You are literally feet away from a gym, moving theater, restaurants, hair salon, coffee shops and more. The complex also has a great game room, business room and new 24/7 package room. The on-site team is great! Amanda, Gabe and their office team are so nice and always willing to help. I showed up to a note on her door saying she was in a meeting. I did not receive a phone call to even inform me she would not be available. Dates of move in kept changing, my boyfriend was trying to make sure I wouldn't get screwed over with my first apartment and Margaret told me he was mean and offensive Bc he called her out on her fluctuating move in dates. The Worst: my boyfriend goes in to get paperwork so I can sign on the dotted line and she gives us the news that the residents have decided not to move and to extend their lease 6months. Could this be why she had a last minute mysterious meeting the day I was scheduled to see the apartment? I believe so but to each it's own. She also leaves such a long vm that my phone cuts her off. Her last vm was what sounded to be an apology but also ended " I don't have anything to lose if you decide to be refunded since I have other clients waiting on apartments". How effing rude. My first apartment has been an epic fail and Margaret did not fulfill her role as property manager successfully due to the lack of professionalism.

The building was built, I think, about 100 years ago but the interior has the original tile and a very nice lobby to relax in as well. The remainder of the hotel, now the apartments, are all up-to-date and very modern. They even have the original girders at the ceilings, which is very cool and a fun industrial-ish look.
