Found out that, because I was paying cash and had no trade in, I would have to pay an extra $2000 above their so called best price. Their so called best price is not the price at all but an artificially low number that they then presumably make back through high finance charges and low trade in prices. I want a dealer who is in the business of providing quality cars and selling them at transparent, competitive prices not a dealer who is playing games and trying to make money through back door methods. Once I understood how they were operating, I asked them to simply give me the out the door price so I could make a decision. They wanted me to sign an agreement to buy the car in order to get the out the door price. I, of course, refused and they did eventually provide it to me, the same as their so-called market price (not their best price) plus administrative fees as shown on their website. So why not just tell me that in the first place? I did not buy the vehicle and will not be going back. To their credit, if you look at the information on their website, it is evident how they price their vehicles and that the so-called best price is an artificial low price that they make up through financing and the trade in. So I cannot say they are dishonest but the overall experience was one that gives used car dealership a bad name. In the past couple of years, I have purchased two used vehicles from other dealerships, both small-town dealerships that are not in the financing business. In both cases, I was pleased with the experience. They didn't try to sell me anything, just answered my questions. In both cases I had done my homework and the prices listed were fair and, in both cases, they gave me a better price since I was paying cash and had no trade in. Briggs could learn something from them.

It wasn't until I received a call from my banking institution saying I was going to be late on a payment for the traded in vehicle. I called Briggs, after I had the utmost confidence that they took care of that, and I was told that they never sent the check out to the bank. Their excuse?.... "There's really no excuse". I was completely disappointed. I ended up making the payment for the vehicle I NO LONGER had just so it didn't affect my credit score.

I took my 2022 Camaro SS with 17000+/- miles in because the outsides of both front tires were…read morecupping, wearing unevenly. They had the car for 9 hours only to tell me that maybe it was the tires. The tires are factory. They gave me the alignment printout that indicated that the alignment was nearly perfect. After I got the car home I took a closer look at the alignment sheet and found that the specs they used were for a car with FE2 suspension, my car has FE3 suspension. Verified by the build sticker on the cars B Pillar. Could that be the issue? Would the car have shown out of alignment if the proper specs were used? I don't know the answer to these questions but I am having it checked by Murdock Chevrolet next week. Briggs suggested rechecking the alignment after they replaced the front tires that are around $400 each, very expensive experiment if the problem is with the struts or wheel bearings which can also cause this type of tire wear. There was no indication that anything other than the alignment was checked. I was hesitant to bring the car to Briggs because they do not sell that car here in Manhattan but the service writer that made the appointment assured me that their technicians were more than capable of resolving the problem. He even chuckled when I implied that they may not be familiar with this type of car. I think maybe I was right after all.

Following that news they told me they have a similar but more expensive car and thats what i sided with since i needed a car at the time. However I wanted a 15% loan for 6 years and they couldn't get me on me but could get me 20% loan on a brand new 2026 but fortunately I declined and when I had made it to my friends car they miraculously had found a lender that approved my 15% loan I haven't had any major issues with the car they offered besides the ac compressor failing sooner than expected I use the express service for maintenance on my car it's really convenient most of the time you will be able to get an appointment within the following week and the customer service there is very good 3 stars because of the weird business practice in the beginning
