I came for a pre owned car that was marketed on the website, made an appointment for it and when i showed up to my surprise I was then told it was already sold to someone else. Following that news they told me they have a similar but more expensive car and thats what i sided with since i needed a car at the time. However I wanted a 15% loan for 6 years and they couldn't get me on me but could get me 20% loan on a brand new 2026 but fortunately I declined and when I had made it to my friends car they miraculously had found a lender that approved my 15% loan I haven't had any major issues with the car they offered besides the ac compressor failing sooner than expected I use the express service for maintenance on my car it's really convenient most of the time you will be able to get an appointment within the following week and the customer service there is very good 3 stars because of the weird business practice in the beginning read more

Great salespeople and service dept! It was easy to get in and out of service appointments and super helpful. read more

The service department here is an absolute joke! Took our truck in for a radiator leak. Of course they found other work that needed done (shocker) and $3600 later we got it back. Same week it wouldn't start. It was cold so didn't think a lot of it because it did start later that day. This cycle repeats itself for the next couple of weeks until it wouldn't start at all!! Against my better judgement, my husband had it towed back to Briggs and after they made a few "guesses" they settled on it "being gelled up" (eco diesel). That was yesterday and $1200 later, we got it back. Hubs went out to start it this afternoon and guess what?? The damn thing won't start!! Wouldn't you know it, at 2 o'clock on a Saturday and there's nobody there that can answer the phone from the service department. This place has always been a joke I swore we'd never go back but here we are! They obviously have absolutely no experience with diesel. I caution anybody that needs to take their car there for anything more than a Flippin oil change or tire rotation! To be continued.... manager is supposed to call back. read more

Avoid This Place -- Poor Service and Zero Accountability I brought my truck to Briggs Nissan in Manhattan, KS to get it running again. They diagnosed the issue as a faulty ICM box and quoted me $1,550 to fix it. I agreed to the repair because, at the time, that was the only thing wrong with my vehicle -- it just wouldn't start. They did fix the ICM issue, but in the process caused additional damage. The plastic fender part directly under my passenger-side headlight was broken, and more importantly, the PCB box -- which controls lights, the horn, and other systems -- was either damaged or misconfigured during their work. As a result, my headlights and horn no longer function. When I brought this to their attention, the staff flat-out refused to take responsibility. Instead, they told me it would cost me another $550 to replace the PCB box -- not including any cost for the broken fender or further diagnostics. This is completely unacceptable. My truck went in with one issue and came back with multiple new problems directly related to their repair. The lack of ownership and concern from the staff is beyond frustrating. If you value your vehicle and your wallet, I strongly recommend avoiding Briggs Nissan in Manhattan, KS. Their work caused more harm than good, and they have no interest in making it right. read more

1 out of 5. Paid over 20k for a car. The car was delivered with one key fob. I called several times and the sales managers never answered. I finally got in touch with the finance manager who assured me that a key fob would be mailed to me. Never delivered. Never buying from Briggs again! it started out that my wife's car check engine light came on. I called several service depts around town but they couldn't get me in for over a week. Briggs Nissan got me in the same day, two hours later had our car fixed (faulty therm sensor) and we were out of there. we truly appreciate the speed! They were kind during the interaction as well. read more

First time at this location because I don't live in Manhattan. Once I found the express location, it was all good. Staff was on it and very professional. I was in and out in 30 mins for oil/filter/tire rotation on my daughter's Rogue. Very good to know, that if my daughter needs help with her Rogue while attending KState, Briggs is there in Manhattan to assist with service related concerns. read more

Briggs Nissan - Detail is everything in service. making a difference in the community for decades is Epic. Thanks Russ and the Team! - Car Dealers Near Me - Manhattan, Kansas

Went to Briggs Nissan to get my Rogue appraised and look at new vehicles as I was contemplating trading in. Initially it was a pleasant experience as I felt that the salesman wasn't super pushy. He took pictures of my vehicle and send he'd have an appraisal for me that day. I test drove another vehicle, and prior to leaving I told him if the numbers worked at all we'd definitely be back. Well fast forward to over a week later and I never heard anything. I even called them one time trying to give the company the benefit of the doubt, and was told that sales associate in question was helping another customer and would call me right back. I have never been completely blown off by a dealership like that before. What I thought was a pleasant experience of not feeling rushed or pushed into a vehicle I didn't want, wound up being awful because they just didn't care to do business with me at all. read more

Beware!!! I had a decent experience when I was there to buy. Still working on getting the paperwork so no clue how 8k got added to the price of the car I bought. Almost 4 weeks after the sale my trade in is still not paid for. I made another payment and another is coming do. Not only am I losing money on the interest of it still, my GAP refund is getting less and less as they wait to pay it off. read more

My ex just purchased a used car not even 60 days old. Just took it in and found it had transmission problems. They sound her a crappy car that still has the 60 day tags on it and is making her pay half to fix it. What kind of scam is that. I have bought 4 vehicles from them but I will never buy another one. Beware, have your used car checked out before you commit, get the car facts. read more

Buyers beware! I just spent a total of 3 hours at this dealership and walked away with nothing. You really want to read this story. They have a Kia Telluride (the most popular SUV selling today, remember that it will be important later) on their lot which is exactly what we've been looking for therefore test drove it, and we really wanted it but after the initial and recalculated final purchase price we decided to pass. A week passed and I decided to see if it was still on the lot and surprising it was (remember the best-selling SUV in America). I felt the price was high so I checked the VIN online (Edmonds, but you can use Kelley Blue Book or other) and found that they priced it north of the Outstanding category. This is a nice vehicle but not outstanding. Therefore my second round provided me some comfort that if they would meet this price, then I would purchase today. The salesman and I talked for a bit, I showed him why and he took it to his finance manager. The finance manager returned about 10 - 15 minutes later with reasoning why they couldn't meet $2K cheaper on a $45,999 vehicle. He pulled three different value reviews for the vehicle and justified they used the highest one (keep this in mind) therefore the BEST he could do was what he provided. He even went to say Telluride's are not available meaning since they are the best-selling SUV, the dealership feels they can jump the price even more than the already inflated used vehicle pricing. (This was a 2022). So based on my research, I said this is my payment and he went back to CHECK with his Credit Unions. I then decided to check my own banks interest rate. The finance manager returned with a .25% reduction on his interest rate but was off my payment by $3. Remarkable isn't it. However what he didn't know what my bank beat his interest rate by over 2%. (Remember this). So I said, I'll pay cash right now, at $45,000 not $45,995. Give me that I will sign. The finance manager stated he needed to speak to his manager and later came back and said, they could do the $45,000 through their bank and would take the hit on the $475 processing fee instead of going through my bank. After asking for clarification why, we finally reached that they still wanted me to pay their interest rates but through their bank. Moral of this story, they do not care about you the consumer, they want more, more more, and here's how: 1) Most popular SUV being sold, increase the price beyond review value 2) Mark-up already an inflated used market based on Dealership pricing 3) Increased interest rates give them kick-backs from each sale. You're paying more per month based on their financing string. 4) They don't want you paying cash! WHAT? Because it affects their revenue stream with financing. End of story: I walked out without a vehicle and I'm extremely happy. I will never visit this dealership again and ask those that took the time to read this, be very cautious. Dealership have to make money, however this dealership is going to far. What they may not know if my salesman didn't tell them, is that we are actually shopping for two vehicles, and our experience will decide if we get the second there...sooooo we didn't walk away with one therefore they just lost sales on two highly priced vehicles. Do your homework. Don't settle. I wish you the best in your journey! read more

I have used these guys for service for 15 years and today they lost my business for good. I brought my car in because the key fob and the interior light stopped working. They were not able to fix the fob. They charged me $198 to fix the interior light and not fix the fob. $198?!?!?! They said (after fixing the light) that they needed to replace the wiring for the light and that that cost about $99. If they had asked me if I wanted to spend $99 to fix an interior light, then I would have told them not to bother. The other $99 was apparently for them saying, "Yes, we agree with you that the fob is broken and we cannot fix it here." Huh? Fixing the fob will cost me about $200 and they demanded half of that price to *not* fix it. read more

I have been dealing with Briggs for car leases since 2010. Currently driving my third leased car from them. Some sales reps like Perry are a gem, he is patient and tries to find a good match car for you. I had to register my car in California, so wanted some additional papers that Perry got for me on time. Their manager, Joe Bowers, is another reason I keep coming back to Briggs. I had run into problems with some of their sales reps, who treats customers as crap. My first car from Briggs was a purchase (not lease). When it developed air conditioning problems within hours of me taking the car home, the sales rep told me to expect such issues as the car was a cheap one. I had dealt directly with Joe Bowers on such occasions, who always worked out a satisfactory solution for me. My recent bad experience was with one of their finance guys, Mario. He may be good with numbers, he but certainly do not have much professionalism or clue outside finance. Mario kept saying the other Briggs guys have no idea what they are talking about, said 'no' to whatever papers I asked to register my car in California (I was asking for those papers that are required as per California DMV website, such as a Limited Power of Attorney document to merely register the car), and told me a different version of the story each time he came to talk to me. Again, Joe Bowers, the manager was to my rescue. If Perry and Joe continue to be with Briggs, I would do my car leasing or purchases from Briggs. read more

These people just tried to completely screw my daughter over. We walked onto the lot with $10,000 cash. My daughter has no credit history and is a first time buyer. She found a car she liked and we started the paperwork. She needed to finance about $3500 to get the car but with $10,000 down we figured it wouldn't be a problem. Their finance manager came back and told us that the only bank that would approve her wanted 15.5% interest over 5 years....AND, they would only let her put down $7500 instead of the full $10,000. So of course we walked. A few days later we went to Beloit auto and truck plaza. Larae Schneider pulled up the credit application that my daughter filled out for Briggs and noticed that they had submitted a request to a Bank that they use often, so she called the bank directly to find out why my daughter had been denied. Turns out, this bank had actually APPROVED my daughter at 6.24% but briggs NEVER TOLD US THAT! They tried to get her to buy a car at an outrageous interest rate, even though she was approved for a more reasonable rate! SO now my daughter is driving a better car, at a better interest rate, because Briggs went out of their way to try and milk more money out of her. I will NEVER buy another car from Briggs and you shouldn't either. This is absolutely a prime example of why car dealers have a bad name. These guys are predatory scum. read more

I took my vehicle in for service on a Friday they said it might take them until Monday to get through it so they set me up with a courtesy vehicle at no cost. They did not have my vehicle ready until almost close of Tuesday and then when I picked up my car on Wednesday I was charged for 2 days of a rental car. I could not afford this and I would have just gone somewhere else for a diagnosis and not have the "courtesy" of a rental. Cost me $60 for them taking longer than expected to diagnose my car. I also couldn't go anywhere for the 4th of July because when they replaced a recall call part, they managed to blow the fuses to all my headlights. You would think after four and a half hours of replacing a tiny Recall part they would have checked to be sure the lights worked when they were finished. read more

I would love to tell you that all our issues got resolved.BUT that is NOT the case. I will start from the beginning... Of course they were friendly, our salesman, Jonathan didn't know a whole lot about the cars we were looking for and told us we basically couldn't get what we wanted within the price range we gave him so he tried to put us in a lease. Which wasn't an option for us. We had 2 criteria, one was third row seating the other was bluetooth.Just as we were ready to leave he showed us a pathfinder we liked & said it was on special online & he got them to drop the price enough to get us to agree to the payments (Even though it was still 45 over what we said we wanted to pay). We paid 21750 for a 2013 stock pathfinder. We left the car overnight to be detailed (WHICH IT WASN'T) & picked it up the next day.My husband asked Jonathan to show him how the bluetooth worked before we left the next day. His response was " aww man you know what, this is the only model that doesn't have it but since it was my fault, I'll buy one with my own money & call you when I get it in." We waited for over 6 weeks! We wrote them a letter & filled out the customer survey. Finally after two trips up there to sign papers they forgot to have us sign apparently, I went up there to get the title & find out what was going on.Our tags were due in a few days. I waited over an hour for someone to get there who had the key to get us our title. Then Jonathan explained HE bought us a bluetooth & that's what took so long. I asked when it was going to be installed,he told me it just clips on the visor. Seriously? I said no, that's not what we wanted. After he talked to his manager he came back & said ok leave the car with us, I'll give you a rental & they are installing a bluetooth. I was pretty excited. He said it would be done the next day & the rental paperwork was good for a day.Well guess what? Next day no call.So the next day I called & they said it would be done by 2. They called at 1:56 and I went to pick it up. To my surprise they put a parrot one in.Not an in dash as we had decided on.I noticed on my drive home the airbag lights were on. They messed up the wiring too! I was having surgery the next day so they came & picked up the car, fixed the wiring & dropped it back off. When I explained I was NOT happy they called & said they wanted us to meet with the GM.We met with Joe Bowers & explained everything. He told Cole, our sales manager to make it right with an even swap & if they had to eat a little they would. They looked & told us to look online. He showed us a Traverse we liked , then came back out & said they wanted $600 more for it.So we left & continued to look.We found a pathfinder with bluetooth & compared prices with local dealers. It was priced 2000 OVER the other dealers with the OTHER vehicles being newer & with less miles! So we decided we wanted that one.Went in for a meeting, they dropped the price but wanted to give us 2750 less than we JUST paid for the car!!!! Even had the nerve to say"Its another year older now" haha really its 2 days into 2016! Not to mention we've been trying now for months to resolve this & the GM said to do it!! So offering us 19000 we said no. Cole said he would get with the GM & call us Monday. So yesterday we got a text saying they are not willing to budge on the trade in! Are you kidding me?? So not only were we sold something that didn't have the features we wanted AND were TOLD it had..THEN LIED to by the GM of all people!! So 8 weeks to get this far and now they offer us 2750 less and we lose the 3500 cash down we had AND to top it all off we could've went to Topeka got the exact same car loaded with bluetooth, camera and 4WD for 2300 less!!! But no we went to Briggs bc of their so called great rep. Well I hope you take the time to read all this and NOT make the same mistake we did! I am so disappointed in the customer service there all the way around. I would NEVER BUY THERE AGAIN. BUYERS BEWARE!!!!!!!!!!! read more

Got screwed over on our warranty. They charged us more than we agreed upon and tried to hide it. I don't recommend this dealership at all.

I was looking to trade in my Trans Am in to trade it in after repeated phone calls claiming they would give me the best deal on my car. When I got there the salesman that had been calling had no interest in assisting me. When he saw me getting back into my car to leave he ran out and convinced me to stay. They finally offered me $4,000 on my rare Trans Am. I told them that it was worth up to $14,000 and they told me due to the fact that it was a specialty car they couldn't offer more than that with such a condescending attitude. I walked out and I sold my car to a private seller for $12,000 and drove out to Kansas City to Randy Reed Nissan and bought a brand new, fully loaded Altima. I had a really good experience with the service department here. I was under the impression that my prepaid maintenance plan was over and told them that and arranged for ~$100 worth of maintenance on my car. While I was waiting, the guy who was helping me came to tell me he had looked it up just in case and found that I still had a year left. He went through my plan with me and explained all of my options in depth. They ended up doing a more thorough service than I was originally going to have done, and it didn't cost me anything. It would have been easy to rip me off in this situation and instead they were honest and went above and beyond. read more

I have been into Briggs time and time again and stupid me I keep going back! I have not ever purchased a vehicle from them for one simple reason they are cocky and rude!!! When you are in sales you have no room to be acting that way to a customer!! I have had my car valued by them for a possible buy out a couple times. Today a salesmen looked at my car from his desk and didn't even know the make of the vehicle and he calls himself an educated salesmen?!?! Then he proceeded to tell me my $25,000 car was "okay and would probably only get $10,000 or less for it", mind you this car is KBB in its condition is valued much much higher! Then I was told "they were in the business to make money" I understand this however this is very unprofessional!!! Many people advised me not to buy from Briggs. I wanted a test drive and was told "It is our policy not to allow test drives if no purchase is pursued" It is unfortunate because if I made it to the dealer is because I was interested in the purchase of a vehicle. That kind of customer service drove me away quickly. It is ridiculous. Any customer will want a test drive before purchasing a new vehicle. They should know it is people's policy to test drive a vehicle before purchasing it. I finally made business with another dealer. My advise is to not buy from this dealer. I sent my son's to look at a new 2017 GMC 3500 Denali for me. I contacted the Sales Department and let them know this and they assured me that the truck would be ready for viewing and they would look for my boys to arrive. My son's went directly to the dealership within 20 minutes. They were greeted with skepticism and were asked if they knew that this was a $70,000 truck? To which they replied that they were there to review it for me. At this point, they were asked what did they think that their dad's credit score was, based on a scale of 1 - 10, with say 1 being Donald Trump, to which my sons replied 2. My credit score is over 800, which is probably better than the "Donald's". NOW, here's the kicker.... after ALL of this, they did NOT even have the truck which the online inventory said they had. Yes, I got several calls afterwards, explaining that the truck was on it's way, should be delivered any minute.. blah, blah, blah. The damage was done. After these shenanigans by JACK and the rest of the sales department, it is easy to surmise that Briggs Auto Group will never get any of my business in the future, and hopefully if you DO business with them, you have a better experience than myself and my boys did. I bought the same exact truck from Donovan GMC in Wichita. read more

Extremely deceptive business practices. My son and husband spent several hours filling out paperwork for a car with a 2.75% interest rate, then making the downpayment and driving the car home on Friday. On Monday, just as we had to leave town to catch a flight, they called to say the finance manager had made a little mistake and they needed one more signature. They'd substituted all new paperwork that then gave us a 4.8% rate, which meant my son would be making payments $100 higher than he'd originally signed for. It's a classic bait and switch. We walked out, and as we were leaving, they said they could come down to 3%--whereas earlier they'd claimed no bank would go lower than 4.8%. We think they should honor the original contract. Whereas we think the salesman had our best interests at heart, the finance manager revealed a shocking lack of ethics that should not be tolerated. The sleazy finance manager sabotaged the purchase by making excessive inquiries about my son's credit rating. He and a Briggs employee threatened my son at a local bar, and were thrown out. I can't believe Briggs employees behave like street thugs toward their customers, and Russ Briggs lets them get away with it. read more
