Dr. "Rob" always takes the time to listen and explain exactly what is going on. That can be rare in the medical profession.

Dr.Pachy is great! She is very professional, knowledgeable, thorough, and really hears what you are…read moresaying. She has helped me find some great options that work best for me. Ruth was great! She made me feel comfortable to take my time when looking at different frames and she helped to tell me not only which ones she liked from the ones I had selected, but why they worked on my face and for my needs as well. The waiting area is very nice, even though I rarely spend more than a few minutes waiting, it is very pleasant. I look forward to my annual eye appointment every year because I feel like they help me (checking the prescription on my old glasses to see if they still work for me, for example) and hear me out and I leave seeing better with a fun new pair of glasses. It's an annual treat!

I can no longer recommend this practice to anyone. The ophthalmologists are very friendly and…read morereally good, but over the last year I have experienced what I consider to be questionable business practices. I was a patient for over 12 years, but I am probably not going to be anymore. Let me disclose somethings that they do NOT disclose until you are already done: 1. If you bring in an outside pair of glasses, because you don't like what they have in stock - they will charge you at least $20 - even if they are filling the script and you are their patient. You brought in a pair of glasses that was not purchased through their store. 2. If you get cataract surgery, and you later need a pair of readers, they sold my father an (81 year old man) readers that cost over $700 which could have been purchased OTC for less than $50. 3. Also, if you wear contacts - they will charge you $85 - not covered by most insurance. Doesn't matter that your prescription hasn't changed, they just want the additional $85 - as "there are materials involved," so I was told. I don't recall anything different from any other eye exam. It ended with, "we have to renew your prescription." So there it is - $85 to renew prescriptions.

The woman working the front desk, never made eye contact with me and asked me to fill out the new patient information. I informed her that I filled out online. She never look up, but she turned and said to another lady, "he said he filled it online." Still never acknowledging me. The lady told her replied, yes I did complete online. She didn't look up and just told me "well. you can sit down." The person that did the first part of the exam, a young lady, was excellent and very thorough and nice. However, when the doctor came in after me being told me he is still busy three times, he continually went on about glasses and cataracts, which I was there for injury and for him to assess the injury. He appeared to be irritated and rushed because of his busy schedule and was not thorough and did not pay any attention to me when I asked questions about the injury, other than saying "oh you can see fine". I feel very uncomfortable for myself and other veterans for having a place like this and individual like this making determination for veterans benefits because they are not paying attention to detail or listening to the veterans concerns.

The person who was to call me back said she had left messages to call her on my lane line, "because she lost my cell phone number". This I KNOW not to be true. We have a service that automatically sends emails when a message is left on the land line. She couldn't have lost my cell number because I gave it, as requested with my name and date of birth EACH of the four times I called the office. I would NOT suggest Summit Eye Care to anyone I cared about.
