Dr.Pachy is great! She is very professional, knowledgeable, thorough, and really hears what you are…read moresaying. She has helped me find some great options that work best for me. Ruth was great! She made me feel comfortable to take my time when looking at different frames and she helped to tell me not only which ones she liked from the ones I had selected, but why they worked on my face and for my needs as well. The waiting area is very nice, even though I rarely spend more than a few minutes waiting, it is very pleasant. I look forward to my annual eye appointment every year because I feel like they help me (checking the prescription on my old glasses to see if they still work for me, for example) and hear me out and I leave seeing better with a fun new pair of glasses. It's an annual treat!

I can no longer recommend this practice to anyone. The ophthalmologists are very friendly and…read morereally good, but over the last year I have experienced what I consider to be questionable business practices. I was a patient for over 12 years, but I am probably not going to be anymore. Let me disclose somethings that they do NOT disclose until you are already done: 1. If you bring in an outside pair of glasses, because you don't like what they have in stock - they will charge you at least $20 - even if they are filling the script and you are their patient. You brought in a pair of glasses that was not purchased through their store. 2. If you get cataract surgery, and you later need a pair of readers, they sold my father an (81 year old man) readers that cost over $700 which could have been purchased OTC for less than $50. 3. Also, if you wear contacts - they will charge you $85 - not covered by most insurance. Doesn't matter that your prescription hasn't changed, they just want the additional $85 - as "there are materials involved," so I was told. I don't recall anything different from any other eye exam. It ended with, "we have to renew your prescription." So there it is - $85 to renew prescriptions.

I've been going here for nearly 45 years and I have received a variety of needs me that I wouldn't…read morehave been able to get any help with had it not been for this facility. Many times I have heard and or read things that others have said happened during time that they were in the hospital on some level of care of need either at the Lee's Summit site or the downtown location and I am shocked every time I have to hear people who say anything bad about them so many people who are in the same situation as myself yet they are expecting miracles or magic to happen. These Drs that are mainly students learning but by some of the same people who were serving those complaining are the best Drs around anywhere in the country They are after all just people and they are not perfect but they do try to find a fix for so many patients with a variety of needs just to make sure that they are going to get better and get those are some of the people who complain about everything in life anyway I don't know what happened to have them that could have been so bad they are after all still alive to get the chance to complain about stuff and they make me sick with the selfish attitude I don't like those kinds of people get a grip on yourself would you?

But the 2 day follow up appointment was a complete 180. Ladies at the check in were very rude, our doctor(different one) ignored our concerns, and at checkout they were chatting about what a coworker did at lunch- to the point they told us just to call to go over details later because they were busy. Seriously!?!? Very disappointed. It's obvious they put their best people in maternity, Susie, Jenna, Gabriel, and Dr. Hoke gave us a great experience with them, but after what we witnessed in family medicine... We will never come back here, already switched providers.
