Then, around this time last year, I went in with a cavity emergency. They looked at it and scheduled me to have repairs done at another time. I took the day off work, and they repaired it. They asked me to "pay in advance" before the service. Within 10 days, the filling fell all of the way out. I called to get it repaired and it was extremely difficult to get them to work with me to not have to take a 3rd day off work (1st and 2nd being consultation and initial repair). After treating me like an inconvenience, they were finally willing to work with my schedule. I do want to acknowledge that when I came back in, the dental hygienist was incredible and very kind. I wish I knew her name so I could share it here. I got the repair done, and when I went to check out, I was told there would be no charge for the repair. A month or two later they sent me a bill for $145. They are now threatening to send it to collections. Pieces of my filling have already come out. So not only are my teeth not fixed, they are sending me a large bill. I will be paying it then cutting all

Not only were they scary and pretty much yelled for me to put my hands up (i raised to let them know they were hurting me) and then when i said the drill felt too hot on my teeth she basically called me a liar and i quote her words "it doesnt hurt youve been numbed". didnt even take a break to let it cool just kept drilling. for somebody whos fearful of the dentist it was super traumatizing and unhelpful. not even soft spoken when i was obviously scared. but here i am a year- year and a half later looking for new dentist who have to perscribe me medication to ease my anxiety of going at all because this experience confirmed all my fears of going to the dentist. Will never be returning! thanks. Also not sure of the name of my doctor here but she was a woman- was also suprised whoever was assisting didnt have anything helpful to say. my friend who had taken me to the appointment told me i was brave for staying seated because any dentist saying theyre not putting you in pain when they clearly are is ridiculous! as someone with severe dentophobia i asked my friend what they thought and my friend agreed that i wasnt being irrational and they could have handled the situation better. I was a new patient (and from out of the area) and therefore I expected the typical routine of having to go through a full examine, consultation, x-rays, etc. This is what usually causes me to 'put-off' going to the Dentist. Although I understand the necessity, sometimes I feel it's just a bit much and overwhelming. I had a small need/concern with my tooth and Robert Hodous took me right in, addressed and fixed the problem. I was extremely impressed at the fact that he didn't push a 'new patient' work up on me and make me go through all the motions before fixing the problem.
