Well I was wrong, the best thing I ate here was the side salad and honestly the ranch was what made that delicious. The lettuce was very old and brown. The waiter was very upbeat but being the only waiter, she was forgetting orders. I overheard a mishap and another table she had to put the customer's order on the house. Well same mojo swung to my table I order the shrimp dinner, spicy cheese balls and some sweet potato fries. I received everything except the cheese balls (highly upset about that) let's just jump to the shrimp, it lacked so much flavor and love put into the dish. It was solely unseasoned batter and fry. I mean nothing stood out on the dish and the taste was very very minimal. I'm very disappointed in this experience.

I am experiencing difficulties with Rafi's Food Hub "The Original Rafi's" related to unpaid wages…read more The owner's wife, Huma Rafi, verbally reprimanded me for not reporting to work as requested. She was aware that I have a three-month-old child and require childcare arrangements. However, she expected me to leave my child unattended to report to work, despite the absence of a fixed schedule. I declined, leading her to ask me to leave. She later visited my residence, requesting that I return to work. Furthermore, she contacted my babysitter to request Robert's phone number. I reported the incident to law enforcement, and she has since refused to compensate me for my services. Apparently, Rafi's Food Hub expects employees to be available at short notice without compensation. I am sharing this experience to warn others about this business. I ordered the Paki Platter and substituted the veggie masala for chicken. It was really good. I wouldn't say the best I have ever had but it ranks in the top mentionables. My wife got spaghetti and meatballs, she gets spaghetti most places we go and said it was flavored well. She was questioning some of the seasonings. My daughter got Tandoori Tikki Masala. She gets this every time we come here and loves it. The waiter was also the cook I believe. We came early lunch right when the opened so that's no surprise. He was very nice and informative on all the questions we had. Will eat here again.

It was always one of my favorite stops in Olean when it was Rafi's Platter. The owners were always so nice and the food was always fabulous and I was excited to see that none of that had changed. The menu isn't as extensive as it used to be but the food was all delicious and made fresh to order by Aamir. I had that tikka masala with chicken, our friend had the chicken curry and my husband had the French onion soup with a burger and fries. Every item came out made fresh and each item was more delicious than the next. Aamir added to the experience with his wonderful sense of humor and fantastic concern about customer service. We not only thoroughly enjoyed the food but his company as well and had many laughs and he took a photo of us and called us new friends. You rarely see this kind of interaction with owners who really care about their restaurant and their patrons happiness. We will definitely be back as well as recommend this gem of a restaurant to any of our friends who enjoy having something different and having it done well. VERY well done. Kudos to Rafi's Kitchen!
