If I could give no stars, I would. Gave the owner/installer the opportunity to get at least a car…read moreor two a month from me as I'm a detailer and always come across a windshield in need of repair. He managed to crap all over that with a subpar install on what should have been an idiot-proof vehicle. I had him install the glass on my fresh out of the paint shop Civic hatchback that already had the glass removed. Things should have gone smoothly. His too young to work assistant at the time broke the first glass before it even made it on the vehicle. Meanwhile, the black urethane was already applied so it had to dry and be cut off. The bad thing about that is the paint in the seat where the glass sits was scratched to the metal in areas in the process. Day Two, Glass Two makes it on the vehicle pretty uneventfully though the urethane is sloppy and I had to clean up after him. I mentioned I didn't like the way the molding around the top of the glass was sitting and he said it would my flat over time. I voiced my concern about the issue being the glass was too low and it needed to come up to which he said nothing. Fast forward several weeks to the first time I drive the car and not even 20 miles out of Corpus and the molding is flapping in the wind beating the hell out of my paint. Luckily I had a roll of tape to secure it until I could get to a Lowes and buy silicone to do it myself. I scheduled him prior to all this to do a glass on a customers truck to which he left a total mess and assumed thy because I'm a detail shop, I should clean up after him. My customer was not happy and will not be using him again. I had him come over and look at the Honda and he said he knew what needed to be done but it would be a day or two to get to it. I waited a week. I see him every day because apparently he lives at his shop and I stopped once to ask when he was going to come and cut out the glass and reset it on the civic to which he replied "what civic?" I'm done messing with this guy and will refer my business to Affordable Glass from here out.

These guys hooked it UP!…read more I was traveling to North Padre on vacation from Austin, and about halfway there I got a rock kicked up into my windshield. By the time I got the hotel the crack had grown about 7 additional inches. My partner in the car with me could see my rage-face over the situation and tried to lighten the mood by reminding me of our destination, but anyway you slice it.. new car + busted windshield is never fun. Once I got into Padre I called ALL around while I was there - The crack was too big to be repaired based from a few guys that came to look at it, so I knew I was looking at a full replacement. Damn. That's more money than I had planned to spend. Well, with some Google Fu I found these guys online - Filled out the information and literally within about 5 minutes I get a call back from Jake. Told him my situation and said I really wanted to get this fixed within a day or two, he got all the correct information and said come by on Saturday! I get there on Saturday and they're a little backed up but assured me they would make sure to get mine taken care of. I was able to talk to Jake, and appreciated that (It took me a minute to recall the phone conversation) it was him that called me back, and that he would be doing the work himself. I dropped the car off and mosey'd around the local area. Got a call just about an hour later that it was ready for pick up. It looked GOOD. Like, "brand new car good", I forgot how clean windshields could be. Even better news, this was the lowest quote I had received AND I was able to do it within a couple days of calling. That's pretty damn good customer service! Because of how much cheaper it was I didn't have to get insurance involved either as it was under my deductible as well. It's now been two days backhand I've had zero issues with the replacement and am thrilled these guys were able to fix it up given the circumstances. Thanks, guys! Hopefully I won't have to be back, but I'll make sure to recommend you guys!

This experience was a masterclass in how not to run a repair business. When they first came to…read morereplace my driver-side window, the glass they brought had a massive scratch on it. Not subtle. Not "if you look closely." Massive. I had to point it out myself and tell them to get a better piece. Quality control, apparently, is optional. After the replacement, the window rattled loudly, so I made the mistake of going back to the shop expecting it to be fixed. They did come outside -- progress! -- and then the guy simply looked at the glass. No taking the door apart. No checking inside. No attempt to address the very obvious noise. Just a quick visual inspection, like he was admiring his own work. When I asked for it to actually be repaired, I was told I was "coming at them." Right. Because expecting a window without scratches that doesn't rattle is apparently unreasonable and hostile. So to summarize this flawless experience: * Tried to install scratched glass * Needed the customer to catch it * Left the window rattling * Returned visit = staring contest, not a repair * Blamed the customer for wanting it fixed If you're looking for scratched parts, sloppy installs, wasted time, and gaslighting instead of accountability, this is the place. If you want competent service, basic professionalism, or a window that functions like a window, go anywhere else. One star is generous. Avoid.

The dirty freeways of CC struck again and I needed a new windshield. My second one on my car…read moredidn't last 2 years due to the debris that is prevalent on our freeway. So instead of going to the last shop where I had gone, I called Moreno (I've used them in the past for other glass) and they scheduled me in and I waited in their very nice customer area. Unlike the last shop, they had me wait for an hour for the adhesive to setup and harden sufficiently. WITHIN THE WEEK I got a new ding in the glass!! CC freeway!! I wasn't going to wait for any kind of growth of the ding and called Moreno. They had me come right in and they fixed it under warranty. I didn't even know it HAD a warranty!! I was ready to pay. They've got my business from here on out.

I only wish I had called Mo Glass before running all over town. They had exactly what I needed. If your house still has vintage seventies / eighties style windows that use the Vinyl Snap In Glazing Beads, take a sample bead with you and go see Mo Glass (aka: Moreno Glass). I'll bet they have what you need. Thanks Mo Glass for coming to my rescue. Update on July 19, 2017: On July 18, 2017, I had an appointment with Mo Glass to replace the windshield in my 2001 GMC pickup. I had used other glass shops in town but hadn't been happy with their work. My appointment at Mo Glass was for 8:00am. When I scheduled the appointment, I was told that it would take two hours; one hour to replace the windshield and one hour for it to dry enough for the vehicle to be safely driven. At 10:00am I was on my way back home. They did a clean, professional job replacing the windshield. It looks great. They guarantee their work so even if something should go wrong, which I doubt it will, they'll fix it. I like to be able to wait while my car is being worked on. That way I don't have to have someone drive me back and forth and when the work is done, it's done. I was able to move along with the many other activities I had planned for the day. Once again, Mo Glass has come through for me. I highly recommend this glass shop. Give them a try --- you'll be very pleased.
