Over a week to deliver from 900 miles away. And I mean a week from pick up, not label creation (and still waiting at this point).

Why the option to give this business even one star is beyond me. Take a look at the reviews on google. Every single one of them is true. This carrier is unreliable. I have a shipment that picked up on the 6th of September out of Texas. It is now the 17th and my cargo is still not here. Their tracking site is down, their phones are down. Can't get a hold of ANYONE. When their phones are up, expect to be on hold for a minimum of 15 minutes. Next time you call you might even get "unable to take calls due to high call volumes" not even giving you the option to be placed on hold. How this company is in business is beyond me. I chose their carrier due to low Ltl trucking rate. I got what i paid for. A tremendous headache and an angry customer overseas. Losing this customers business due to Roadrunner's lack of service is unacceptable. read more

Horrible service. Avoid!! Took day off from work expecting shipment, called midday to confirm and was told it would be on time. Called again after time was missed, and was told the shipment never went out. So frustrating. Who's running this company? Zero quality control! Just look at other reviews! I receive LTL freight all year long and I have used dozens of different carriers. Roadrunner freight is the absolute worst company I have come across. MY freight has been sitting in their warehouse for over three weeks. I have called and complained numerous times and I am told it will not move until the trailer is full. WARNING this is their policy, they do not and will not move your freight until they completely fill the trailer. They ended up not picking it up Thursday. Dispatcher blamed everyone else under the sun. After a phone call with a manager, it turns out there was some serious miscommunication within their dispatch team, which is why they never showed up Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday, despite telling me each day they would. The phone call was cordial and kind, and I hope they are addressing these very serious problems at their facility, but the fact remains that I had to move both shipments to other, reliable carriers because they couldn't get their act together and simply pick up this cargo. read more

WamBam Fencing uses RoadRunner trucking. RoadRunner was horrid and pathetic. They lost this large 7x4 foot pallet, spending days looking for it. I had to send photographs of the pallet (that WB had sent me pre-shipment) to RoadRunner, with now more days to look at all the points from the east coast to the west. At the 11th hour, it was found outside of Los Angeles and delivery was scheduled. Despite instructions to call us 30 minutes ahead, the RoadRunner truck out of Commerce, California, just showed up. The driver, Alfredo, was rude and unprofessional. I watched him throw two other boxes to the front of the truck to get our pallet out. When the pallet was on the sidewalk, we discovered that our shipment was badly damaged, parts missing. Alfredo discouraged us from writing about the damaged boxes, but we insisted. At that point, he did a "dump and run." We were on the phone with WB as to whether we should refuse the shipment when Alfredo yelled, "you already sign, you call for pickup" and immediately drove off leaving the tattered boxes on the sidewalk. I had to sit there while WB and their shipping person figured out what to do. I was told that I needed to inventory every part in every box that was damaged and tell them what to send. this company is a complete mess and has lied for the last week about 2 shipments we were supposed to receive on monday 7/22 It's now 7/26 and still no freight The first excuse was that they couldn't find 1 shipment and the second was still on a trailer waiting to be off loaded apparently it takes them 3 days to unload a trailer then still a no show called yesterday and cust service (Sue) claimed that is was on a "HOT Sheet" and would be out for delivery friday called today and now they claim that the driver call out today and they don't have a replacement and would be delivered on monday 7/29 we will be requesting our suppliers to use a different trucking company! read more

inconsistent, unreliable and late as always.The last time i used these guys freight was picked up 5 days late. Was promised on the 5th of July, and was still not delivered by the 17th. When you call customer service, expect to be on hold for at least 15 minutes before you talk with a rep. Then the rep will pass blame to some else. We were concerned by the many negative reviews but were thrilled by the very excellent service provided by Roadrunner Freight. We ordered a GE dual oven range through Amazon from an appliance store in Lancaster PA, the closest we could find the model we wanted, on 3/20. It arrived in CA 3/26 and we were called to schedule our delivery for 4/1. It arrived 4/1 just 2 hours late due to a mechanic issue about which I was notified and kept informed by the dispatch and the driver Jose. At delivery, Jose was happy to l ok place the range in our garage and wait while we uncrate to inspect. He helped out as well. The range was in undamaged condition. Installed the next day, it works perfectly. We had moved 2 weeks earlier and were without a range in the midst of the pandemic. Roadrunner Freight was timely, courteous and helpful. I'm going to keep this quick and simple. This company stacked my pallet which caused 416 dollars worth of damage. They were late with getting me my pallets as well. I filed a claim with the company which took 65 days just to get an email declining my claim. I told them I had pictures and video to prove it was their fault. They never asked for any of it. They already knew the result long before I filed the claim. How a company can be this terrible and still stay in business is beyond me. Please don't look at my as just an upset person trying to get back at a terrible company but just take 5 minutes and do some research on this company. Check out their reviews on yelp, Google, and the BBB and you will know this is not a rare thing with them. read more

I had my freight shipped from Boston to LA and held at the Terminal to be picked up by me. I got a call as soon as the freight arrived and I went 2 days later to pick it up with a Uhaul. Everyone there was helpful and they got my freight out to the parking lot in literally 10 mins so I could load it into the Van. My pallet was in the same shape as when I sent it from Boston 10 days earlier. I will continue to use for future freight without hesitation. Highly recommended. read more

We paid extra to have a shipment delivered on a Monday the 4th of June. Monday came and went and no call, no shipment. I called Tuesday and they said the driver would contact me. We waited, no call no shipment. Tuesday evening I got a call from Roadrunner asking what day we wanted the shipment. I responded with - how about two days ago when it was supposed to arrive. We agreed that I would be available at the receiving location from 11 - 3 on Wednesday. Nobody showed up. We received a call late Wednesday night asking if we would be there the same four hour window on Thursday. They finally showed up 4 days late and when we asked for some money back they simply said NO. What a crappy service-shipping provider. I wont use them again. read more

My company uses Freightquote who regularly contracts Roadrunner to ship our LTL pallets. Usually we have no problems with only minor issues. But not this time. We arranged a pickup on Thursday for next day Friday between 11am and 4pm with a liftgate required. The truck showed up early just past 11am but without the liftgate, so no pickup #1. The driver called dispatch for another truck to arrive before 4pm. This 2nd truck arrived after 5pm with a liftgate which the driver claimed was too small to pickup the load, so no pickup #2. I called Monday morning and arranged for a third attempt between 11am and 4pm on the same day. I waited till 7pm but the truck was a no show. No heads up from dispatch, no call to reschedule. This was no pickup #3. I was told on my call the next day that the driver cancelled because he did not have a liftgate! I'll hand-load if necessary and re-wrap the pallet...just bring me a truck. I called Tuesday morning and arranged a 4th attempt for between 7am and 12noon - though I was warned the driver had many deliveries and could be a bit late. I'm OK with that. I called again at 12:45 as the truck had not shown yet and was transferred to the Los Angeles terminal in Commerce that was dispatching my truck. I was told then by a gentleman named Eddie that I might have to wait until 4pm. Eddie also told me that although I requested a liftgate and their driver was cancelled because he didn't have one, that it was my fault for not telling dispatch that I could hand-load if necessary. And Eddie also informed me that I could leave my pallet out in the alley with the BOL on it so their driver could swing by and take it. I asked Eddie who at Roadrunner would pay for my $70,000 loss when my pallet was stolen from behind my shop...he had no answer. So now it's 1:30pm on Tuesday. My pallet is behind me while I wait in my truck. I've lost a day+ of my time because of Roadrunners incompetence. If the truck is a no show, I'll lose $70k of product as my shop is now closed. I'll bring that invoice to Eddies's boss since he recommended I leave the pallet in the street in the first place. I gave one star because Roadrunner is usually OK. But the last three days have been a complete clusterf and Eddie's manager-on-the-phone attitude was crap. By the way, customer service in the corp office was very good - especially Mary and Pablo. Too bad I'm in CA and they close at 5 EST. Update: the driver arrived at 1:40 - not a problem. He got it loaded quick and painless. Nice guy too. He did mention that he had two orders for my one pallet though.... Bottom line: the Commerce Terminal needs some serious review and work to handle, at least, this job better. And communication between Corp and Commerce should be better. read more
