When my car was shipped there were no roof dents. When it arrived, something heavy had landed on the roof during transit, putting two dents at the frame/roof juncture, in the exact same place... like a metal bar; the indents were in the exact same place and at the almost exact same weight indentation. Rather than step up and own the damage done during shipping my car from TX to MA, the #subcontractor Roadrunner hired conveniently altered the time of delivery from day to evening, pulled into a spot with low lighting, & delivered during very cold rain, obscuring the damage, while requiring a signature to 'sign off' on the delivery. The weather got progressively worse going into winter, & there were other pressing issues that required my attention. Still experiencing #STM deficit due to #CovidAlpha, I forgot to check over the vehicle for a few weeks. My car was driven 5x during those weeks & parked in a private parking space, with no trucks or heavy equipment nearby that could have done that damage. Being the person I am, I thought I'd let a couple more weeks go by and continue waiting for a #Roadrunner's sub-co to own up to the #damage they did to my car, but no call was received. I purchased a 200lb tug for my RV trailer from Amazon which arranged shipping from the factory vendor via Roadrunner Freight. What started out as a routine shipment pretty quickly went south following their first phone call to let me know when the shipment would arrive: between 10AM ~ Noon. At 1PM, I had to call again because the item had not been delivered. That call resulted in another target time: 2:10 PM. Which resulted in yet another call to dispatch who then quoted 'just after 5PM. The upshot is the dispatch/customer folks have their head up their (you know what!). What actually saved the day was their driver, Brendon, who called to confirm his arrival, which was accurate for the first time that delivery day. Upon Brendon's arrival, he cheerfully and professionally delivered my item. He "owned" this delivery, contrary to the total lack of ownership by the dispatcher at the Commerce, CA office. Brendon gets five stars; the Commerce office should change their lack of customer care and communication to something much, much better. read more

RoadRunner either lost or stole 17 boxes from my 72 box shipment. I have appealed their denial of my claim 3 times. They refuse to acknowledge the loss or theft and their responsiblity to refund me. This is not an honest company. If you ship something "cool" expect it to be stolen. Avoid RoadRunner Freight! read more

If you want your 700 lb marble statue dropped off, this is your freight company. They should never have sent 1 person to deliver a 700 lb package. They said the deliver persons can deliver up to 1500 lbs. if my landscaping company had not been here to assist in getting the statue out of the road and back on the truck, the deliver person would have needed to call someone from RR to help. What has happened to delivery companies that they are unable to deliver a package without breaking it? The statue was not packaged well at all, so I am convinced it was probably broken before being dropped off, but this resulted in its final destruction. After waiting 5 months to get the statue at a price of $7,500 I am very disappointed in the company I purchased from and of course Roadrunner. But I will say they are very good at dropping off and running! read more

Will make sure I never use Road Runner again for my business. On the 3rd delivery attempt for a client, they never called the first two scheduled days, I had to call to see where they were at the end of the day, and they said they needed to reschedule. On the third attempt, they claimed there was snow in the driveway, and they couldn't get in; however, this was not true. There is no snow, but they had to note something. They needed a second person because they said it was too hard, so now they want to charge us for a fourth attempt. We will see if it gets delivered. read more

Picked up a skid with 12 cartons, delivered 10-we made note of the missing cartons on delivery receipt. They wouldn't help us find the cartons and when we filed a claim, they denied with no explanation. My company moves over a billion in freight and we won't be using these crooks again!! read more

I'm currently in the claims process after RR Freight destroyed my custom bed headboard. My warehouse receiver took photos of the mangled boxes which I've also supplied to RR, but they denied my damage claim. I am in the middle of rebutting the claim and escalating it and my warehouse receiver is requesting the BOL. I called RR for this, and waited on the phone for over an hour and still was unable to speak to anyone. Claims@rrts also never replies to you so you can't email them and expect a response. They'll email you your denial through that email though. They're excellent at taking a very frustrating process and making it worse. read more

They lied and said (insistently) that they had scheduled a delivery with me (they hadn't, as I proved with sending the shipper my entire month of cell phone records, and offered to hop on a video call, log into my cell provider and show them live - when pressed on this they just ignored the questions asking when and from what number they made the call), they are impossible to get ahold of, and then they didn't actually make the delivery when they rescheduled it for (and charge my shipper more for). Terrible service!! STAY AWAY!! After five successful shipments with RR, my company scheduled another, only for the driver (Alex) to refuse pickup because our road cases had locked wheels instead of being on a pallet. They claimed to only work with pallets, a policy not mentioned during booking. Contacting the dispatcher (George) was a nightmare. He was unprofessional, rude, and refused to provide any further explanation, simply reiterating the driver's refusal to complete the pickup. I have proof of prior pickups with identical wheels and paid invoices for those loads. This inconsistency is unacceptable, and I will escalate this issue to higher management. Due to their lack of professionalism, communication, and customer service, my company will now fail to deliver to our customers. read more

They only offer the first 30 minutes for loading or unloading and then they charge based on a tier. For 1 hour and 15 minutes, im charged $210.00 in waiting time. my car was supposed to be picked up from Colorado 6/3, I received an email & a call saying transport was delayed due to a drivers issues on the afternoon of 6/3, after I made 3 different calls to the company. they said they'd be picking up my car 6/4 the day came & they still didn't pick my car up & they called to let me know since they to change carriers the price went from $895 to $1016. I paid that since I need my car. once the car was finally picked up around 815 pm mst on 6/5 the driver called me to say I had to pay him $200 via Zelle since there were items in my car. once I explained I do not have Zelle he said I could pay him in cash upon delivery. once he arrived in Wisconsin at 230 am on 6/7 he would not unload my car without the $200 in cash. I have asked for a receipt twice & have not received it yet. Between the constant delay & price increase & basically a demand for more money from the driver, I would not recommend this company read more

I ordered wheels and tires from a company back east and it only took them a day and a half to get my shipment out...then the crawl to me began!! 3 days later my shipment arrived at a distributing center 40 minutes (with moderate traffic) away from me. Tracking showed that I would not get my package for another 4 days, then the day came for delivery and I checked tracking and it got moved another day so I had to call and got patched thru to the distributing center and got met with a trash of a lady named Don. I asked about the hold up and this dumb dumb tried to justify 5 days to drive 40 minutes away.... I schedule a delivery appointment of 9am to 1pm....only to get a call from the company to say that I won't be getting my delivery until after 1! I wish I could post negative stars for this review. I was told 3 days to receive my shipmen, it took 11 days! Customer service will have you on hold for hours. Originally, my cratte was supposed to be picked up on Friday between 1:00-5:00. Nobody showed up until Monday. I was on the phone for hours to find out why. They said they got too busy to pick it up. So I paid an employee to sit and wait for a driver that never came. When the crate arrived in my city, it sat for two days before they would drop it off. Customer service and the managers read from a script and apologized for the inconvenience, but do absolutely nothing. I strongly recommend to never use this compan, as I will not. read more

This company operates under different names (Roadrunner Transit, Roadrunner Inc..., etc...) This was the first and worst move I've ever encountered in my life. This was the first move outside of government moves, and ended up with the Honolulu Detectives being called because they delayed shipment over 3 months. I was in the process of filing a lawsuit against Roadrunner Transit, when they finally delivered my things. This company is used to picking up and people not paying from what Chris R. said and they sell your stuff if you don't pay their upgraded prices. not once i hadn't had a problem with this carrier. everytime, i used it, they delayed the pickup and the delivery. there was this one time they took a month to deliver a freight that was promised 4 days transit. the customer service agents are extremely incompentents, don't do anything more than just answer the phone. this time i called in the morning scheduling a pickup and confirming they would service the area and pickup that shipment. then i call back to get an update and they tell me eta is 2 pm. i called at 2 and they say it was rescheduled to monday because they didn't have a driver for that location. when i asked why wasn't i informed of this in the morning when i called the second time, the agent didn't know what to say, said i had to be patient cuz i wasn't the only customer they had. if i wanted it i could just cancelled and find some other carrier. as if there was still time. everytime i have this kind of problem, when not worse. awful service, awful company. i don't understand how they are still open. read more

I'd give them zero stars if i could. They lost a package of mine do to their incompetence. The package contained a $250 blower. The blower not showing up on time cost me thousands in a party that i had to cancel because the equipment didn't show up. After filing a claim, roadrunner waited 90 days to tell me that they would reimburse me $100. WHAT??? ARE YOU KIDDING? They lost a $250 package, cost me a couple thousand dollars, waited 90 days just to tell me that they we're going to give me $100? I am floored that these guys are still in business. Worst shipping company. Marvin told my young females employees to carry the boxes into the store as he couldn't be bothered to bring the boxes through the doorway. Said he's not paid to do that. Dude, the doorway was an extra few feet and there's no steps or anything difficult! The way was clear and flat with no turns! Instead you choose to block the walkway so other stores got upset and make young women carry in the boxes. Not sure to what all this negativity is about, I've been speechless for 10+ years! Going strong and working hard and in return i get rewarded with constant freight. Made a lot of friends throughout the years while working with this company. I Simply text Mr. Ortega when my trailer is dropped off and trailer number, get a quick 10/4 and my trailer is loaded the next day. My drivers love it because they feel like home, never worry about having a load or what's the next mission. If I ever decide to leave I'm sure my drivers will quit with me too. Long story short I love working with these guys and recommend everyone if they want piece of mind and non stop freight. I hope Yelp can let me rate 0 star. In 2018 I use roadrunner move my freight from NJ to CA. 4 pallets shipment, when it gets to my warehouse, I only get 3 pallets. They lost one, ever since then I've been asking my assistance to call them everyday. And they only provide one answer: We will looking into it. And we filed a claim with them, they told us they are still looking for it so can't process the claim. 1 month later, they find it and delivery back to me with terrible condition all covered with dust, I can't even make sale any more. Couple month later, my friends use them to move freight, they lost shipment again. And ever since then we stop using Roadrunner. On Dec 5 2019, I place a pick up request to Roadrunner because my customer only accept their cheap rate, what happen is I booked pick up on Dec,5th, they didn't show up, 6th didn't show up, 9th didn't show up and show up for pick up on 10th. My shipment was suppose to be delivered on 9th!!!!! With all the callings, they only told me yes we are on the way to pick up. Now my customer was so pissed off and told me if its not get delivered on 13th, they will refuse to receive the shipment and will not pay me. Today is 11th, in the morning I called them asking about ETA and told them its need to be delivery on Friday, they told me the load is rolling right now, possibly can make it on 13th but highly chances will be on 16th or 17th. I called them in the afternoon checking again, they changed all the speech, told me the freight is still in the Commerce warehouse, new ETA 17th, and told me there is nothing they can do about it. I'm a small business in SD, this carrier has a thief among them and they refuse to do an investigation! I purchased product from a wholesaler in Chicago and they used RR to ship when I received the shipment there were cuts in the bottom of the boxes and some boxes were empty- the wholesaler said it was my fault for not videoing the driver dropping off the shipment and videoing the opening of the boxes I filed a claim with RR and they denied it - someone has stolen over 12k worth of products and I'm just out just like that. no product and no reimbursement of the money. I have an 8 pallet load that has been "missing" for two weeks. Every time I call, I have to sit on hold for at least a half hour and end up being told the same thing every time. I do a lot of shipping LTL each year. This is the last time the at Roadrunner will touch any of my freight!!! read more

You can't deliver on time, you can't even deliver after cargo has been sitting in your possession for 45 days. What a hell hole. If you hear name Roadrunner run away as soon as possible. Nothing will be done on time, you will be lucky to get your product in one piece at best. And that would happen after a hundred wasted hours of phone calls and a few months after the promised deadline. When you call them on customer service line be prepared for 90 people ahead of you in line, that's the type of service you're going to get. I ordered theater chairs and Roadrunner was assigned as the transport from NJ. It took a couple of days for the initial pickup, Roadrunner provided an estimated delivery of 10 days. After 10 days I called Roadrunner and they had no new info to provide. Within another 1 or 2 days the chairs were moved from NJ to WI where they continue to sit, 1800 miles away. Roadrunner's online dashboard still shows the same initial delivery date. I tried calling Roadrunner but there were 50 callers ahead of me waiting on hold. Ironically, while on hold the VM systems tells a tale of how Roadrunner made recent improvements for better customer service. Giving RoadRunner 1 star seems charitable. Was told a pickup was attempted from our customer in CA, but there's no record of a truck showing up the day they said they did. Then I was told there was a second attempt and my customers paperwork wasn't right and that the load was canceled. I contacted my customer to see what the issue was and it turns out the product was picked up. I followed up with RoadRunner and apparently they had a different tracking number than the one they initially gave me. I was told my load was sitting in the Denver Terminal but they required a signature that they failed to get during pickup so they couldn't release it? I again contacted my customer and they said they did sign out the truck and provided me with proof. Then I was told that it is in Denver Terminal and that it was cleared to be released and they would give me a call to schedule? Waited two more days and called to see what the hold up was. I was told the load is still in CA and that they were wrong about everything they said before and that they can't find a driver for the load? So now it sits in the RoadRunner Terminal waiting for a driver, which they said they have no idea how long it will take. If you're confused reading this, I assure you, it's confusing. I'm still waiting for this load with no answers. Between lying customer service and laughably bad tracking system, I don't think I'll ever use RoadRunner again. I shipped two pallets from California on 6/2,. When booking through Roadrunner website shipping to Michigan I was given an ETA of 6/9. It is now 6/12 and the package is somewhere on a train and they cannot give me an ETA until it hit the hub in Michigan. I have my service techs on the ground and now the job is being held up due to Roadrunner. Talking to a customer service is not helpful, they could careless and there is nothing anyone can do with in the company. Even though I've explained to them this is a factory shut down situation. My advice is shipped guaranteed freight and with another company. I thought I left room for Murphy. Clearly Murphy runs their company. read more
