Now considering it's in a desert where the daily temperature average over 100 degrees the driving range and putting green are very well taken care of, the carts are all clean and in excellent shape. As far as the course it is well laid out with a couple of challenging par 5 holes to play. For the most part the course is a simple par 3 and 4 with straight fairways and very well manicured greens. I would think there would be more sand traps but none to challenging. This is a great course for beginner golfers and for seasoned golfers to practice. The club house is clean and very well organized, not much of a selection of golf merchandise but they have all the basics to get you started, to include club rentals. The staff is professional, helpful and very friendly. I would definitely recommend this course to anyone wanting to practice their game or learn how to play. Prices are fair and very reasonable compared to other course in the local areas. My only recommendation to the staff is to have maintenance clean up and reposition some of the hole marker signs so they can be seen better from the drives. Also consider putting shade covers over the driving range, more people would use the driving range during the day if it had shade covers over it.

Played the celebrity course this weekend and unfortunately the poor behavior from course marshals…read moreovershadowed what should have been a good group outing. We were stopped at the turn and told we had to skip two holes due to complaints from the group behind that we were holding up play. The group behind was our friends who hadn't complained or waited for us all day. Instead of a reasonable conversation, the marshal informed us that we obviously don't play much (I was 2 over) and we didn't have a choice. As we drove down the 10th, we could see the group behind still playing approach shots to the 9th, and the group behind that wasn't even on the 9th yet. He led us to the twelfth hole, where there was a backup and we waited for every shot for the remainder of the round. I've never encountered a course employee with this type of attitude, let alone expecting it when paying this much to play.

I know next to nothing about golf but I had a wonderful time playing on this simulator. The…read moregraphics are gorgeous and I felt like I was enjoying a beautiful day outside in perfect weather. There were numerous courses to choose from- like traveling the world with a millionaire golf fan who can afford to jet from one glamorous location to another on a whim. The atmosphere at the simulator is very comfortable and inviting with relaxing couches and even a putting green! The operators are extremely knowledgeable and friendly and patient with obviously ignorant customers (me). I left feeling like I could actually enjoy learning to play golf by taking advantage of the opportunities offered by this venue. I definitely will be coming back whenever I'm in Big Bear Lake!

We booked three tee times and had a hiccup with the cart situation, which was thankfully resolved before we tee'd off. We were early for our tee times, but we still had to wait for the party in front of us to finish, resulting in a later start for our party. We did our best to keep up with the pace throughout the day, so we didn't have any issues with our pace of play. The course itself was a little rough. The greens were pretty bumpy which I wasn't expecting for the price we were paying. This was a decently challenging course, with the first hole starting out as a par 5. They had several par 3 holes spread throughout, which was fun.

There were some nice mountain views from the course. Sand and water creates some interesting challenges. The fairways were quite narrow. No forgiveness if you go off the fairway as you are greeted with desert brush. Biggest downfall was how slow it played. With tee times 8 minutes apart, we teed off a few minutes late then played an over 4.5 hour round. It was just too slow to get into any rhythm as we waited on every shot.
