*I Got the Power*…read more Are you ready for some Baseball? The Palms Springs Power is a stacked team of Collegiates from all over the United States...so you're going to see a really good team -- undefeated 4 weeks into the season and they're 16-0 I'm a former player (and Pitcher) and follow all baseball very closely so I know a good team when I see one. I've already been twice and considering buying Season Seats ($100 = 28 games) Otherwise, General Admission is $10 for Adults and $5 for kids. Last game I scored on the "Power Pass" for $16 = one ticket, a hot dog, a non-alcoholic beverage and bag of chips. I intend to attend more games because they pack lots of fun inside this little stadium that kinda reminds me of a High School Baseball Field but with a Minor League feel & vibe and an exciting team & Field of Dreamers. My 1st game was FREE for a special promotion and went with wifey...but I had so much fun, I came back the following week solo. I don't really eat hot dogs these days (tho I love them) and enjoyed theirs so much after game one, I had another one at game two :) I was told by the nice guy at the ticket counter that the Chicken Caesar's Salad (only $7) is really good too...so instead of a 3 dog night, I'm already planning on that salad next time. Wednesdays are $4 Margarita Night and I heard they're flavorful and strong...but since I was driving it was strictly h2o. This is an Independent Summer League...and this is the Desert so be prepared to get a little heated because 1st pitch is at 7pm and usually still 100 degrees. But there's misters throughout the stadium that does its thing...and the weather cools down halfway into the game. I promise. They play nearly every Tuesday & Wednesday and Friday & Saturday nights during late May thru July 19th (then playoffs??) Lots of volunteers on hand throughout the stadium...and it's so cute & helpful to see all the children walking around the grandstand the last 2 innings collecting trash from all the fans. Lots of great fun & music, free giveaways and a raffle too while enjoying the game. And if the Power scores at least 9 runs, everyone in attendance gets 2 free tacos -- courtesy of Jack in the Box -- if that's your thing. And so far, the Power have been putting up at least 9 nearly every game :) Plenty of free parking in the lot surrounding the stadium...and street parking too on Barista. Looking forward to more exciting games & victories and making some more new friends...at-the-ole-ballgame :-) {{{Big High Fives}}} {{{Fist-Bump}}} Grandslam Power Fans *from their Website The Palm Springs Power are a summer collegiate baseball team playing all games at Palm Springs Stadium. The three dream MLB fields -- Wrigley Field, Fenway Park, and Yankee Stadium -- have outfield walls painted to look like the real parks, complete with crowds and replica scoreboard. These fields looked well-maintained. Our grandson's games were in "Yankee Stadium" under the lights and "Fenway Park". These fields are laid out so their home plates are adjacent separated by stadium seating and a "Stadium Club" with a full service bar and food. The food we tried was not so good (2/5), including cardboard pizza and cold French fries. Parking is tight. Admission is $8 pp for a full day with in-and-out privileges.

Big League Dreams are always nicer than other parks in some ways, but this one is only OK. Walkways…read morebetween the fields are *extremely* narrow, and the restaurant/bar is dated and shabby. But the biggest problem is no shading for the premium stadium seats, only a little over the bleachers. That's unforgivable in Palm Springs where we were cooking in the stadium seats in late February - I can't imagine what it's like in May or June. One plus is foul ball nets above the stadium seats, but without shade there you'll want to avoid them for day games when the sun is out. Needs some true improvement.

Our daughter practices and plays soccer games here, and our son goes to school across the street, so he and his friends often come over after school to hang out, relax, and spend some time outside. It's the kind of park that really brings the community together. The park itself is spacious, clean, and very well maintained. There's a large playground that younger kids absolutely love, and it's big enough that it doesn't feel crowded even when a lot of families are there. The splash pad is another huge hit, especially during the warmer months. It's a great way for kids to cool off and have fun while parents relax nearby. There are also plenty of open grassy areas, which makes it perfect for sports practices, pickup games, or just letting kids run around and burn off some energy. The park has several shaded areas and spots with grills, which makes it a great place for family gatherings, birthday parties, or just a casual afternoon with friends. We've seen many families set up and spend hours here enjoying the space. What we also love is how active the park feels. There are always people walking, playing sports, or just enjoying the outdoors, which gives it a really welcoming community vibe. It's clearly a place that a lot of locals appreciate and use regularly. The only downside we've experienced is the parking situation. Because the park is across the street from the high school, the parking lot often gets filled up during school events or games, and it can sometimes be tough to find a spot. A little more dedicated parking for the park itself would definitely help. Aside from that, this park is a fantastic community space and one our family truly enjoys. It's a great place for kids, sports, and spending time outdoors, and we're really grateful to have such a nice park nearby.
