I had roadrunner asphalt come out to my business where they promised me a new parking lot within one month I have weeds growing up through the asphalt. It appears all they did was spray a black tar coating on it and roll over it with their steamroller this company is the worst of the worst run. Do not evenconsider using this company. The owners are thieves and will not warranty their work. read more

This company did not perform the job as agreed. The asphalt was supposed to be 2 1/2 -3 inches deep but was so thin it cracked when stepped on. We've called several times and have been promised they would redo the job "when they were in the area" Never happened. read more

I called Ralph to set up an estimate. He was very responsive and provided me with multiple options. His prices were fair and we scheduled the job for the following week. The crew showed up and they were friendly, professional, and got the job done right! When they were finished there was a small section that was not included in the original estimate. I asked if they would mind sealing it. Moments later they were doing the little extra with no additional charge! I would definitely recommend Roadrunner for your asphalt needs. read more

Hired them to pave my driveway last year. The contract specified 3" asphalt. After I had paid Ralph I later found out that it was only a quarter inch thick in the middle, and started developing holes after several months. The drive was not smooth, driving on it shakes the car horribly. Wasn't allowed to drive on it for 5 days, so by the time I found out about it not being smooth I had already paid Ralph. On parts of the drive not enough binder was used in the mixture so it resulted in piles of loose stones. Ralph suggested just putting driveway sealer on them, but that would just result in something like putting oil on a gravel driveway. Ralph said he could put patches on the holes, but I paid $26,000 for a professionally done smooth driveway, not a wavy mess that needs patched after a few months. I called in an expert who said that Ralph had used less than a third of the asphalt which should have been used. Then he said stone was heaped along the sides to hide the fact of how thin it was. The expert said not enough binder was used in the mix which should have been discarded and a new batch made, but Ralph chose to go ahead and use it anyway. Also he said the drainage slope was completely wrong. Also Ralph hit the side of the house numerous times with his roller, severely damaging the stucco, and never fixed it. I asked Ralph for a refund so I could get a competent company to repave the drive. He refused and then started loudly cursing at me and drove off. I hired an attorney to file a lawsuit and found Ralph already has 6 judgements against him (these are lawsuits he has lost). Ralph also has 5 tax liens filed against him for unpaid taxes. He is also under investigation by the Federal Trade Commission. I wish there was some way to give less than one star on this rating. This company should be avoided like the plague. Ralph Riley should be in prison for fraud. read more

RoadRunner is probably the worst company I have ever dealt with. Last summer, I hired them to recover my old driveway with the following results: 1. Parts of the driveway border were covered with asphalt 2. Unused asphalt was thrown in the landscape rather than hauled away. 3. Any areas that the roller could not reach were left rough 4. Asphalt was dumped on the road to our house resulting in a large black spot in front of our driveway and tire tracks from cars passing by. 5. Worst of all the asphalt mix did not contain enough binding material resulting patches of exposed loose gravel with little filler. Rather than sending the mix back, Roadrunner chose to use it. After I complained they took care of items 1, 2, and 3. On item 4, I was told it would wear off over time. As for item 5, I was told that exposed areas are normal and a sealcoat the following year would take care of it. For my troubles they would do it for half of their normal price of $2000. I called them after a year and was told the one-year warranty had expired and the sealcoat would now cost $3900. This is after spending $8000 for the original job! After a heated discussion, they agreed to honor the original price of $1000. By then I was so frustrated with the company that I choose another contractor to sealcoat it. In summary save yourself money and frustration and don't even consider doing business with RoadRunner Asphalt! read more

To follow up, I now have cracks 1/2 inch wide and 2 inches deep running up my driveway (cracks that they had attempted to repair also came back). Also, as to their honesty, when they protested my review, they claimed they had never done any work for me. Luckily, I had asked for receipts for both the asphalt and sealing jobs they had done for me and had proof. read more
