We were coming back home on Interstate-10 a few days before the 4th of July when a tire on our trailer-pull camper went flat and was damaged. We still had 3 good tires but decided to try to get someone to come out to the Defuniak Springs exit next to Whataburger and change our tire, as we had a spare on the back and only needed the trailer to be jacked up and the tire changed. We were shocked when Road Master Towing gave us a quote of $850.00 just to jack up our trailer and put our own tire on it. I told the person on the phone that I didn't need a tire and could buy a whole set for that much money. They really tried to take advantage of me that day. Thank God a good Samaritan came by to help us get the tire removed and the good one put on. It took him 30 minutes to complete. Beware of those who try to take advantage of those travelling. This company is a scam!! While helping family move from one state to another my car broke down in a different state. I googled tow companies local to that are and this one was one of the first to pop up. I paid for their service online then my husband received a call from them stating the tow truck broke down so they would have to send one from farther away which would take longer and we would have to pay additional money. Wit's their tow fee already being high and it didn't seem right, we cancelled their service. They then said they would have to charge us a 50% cancellation fee. When we disagreed with that they said they would discount it to a $59.99 processing fee. I found out later from a real tow company that Roadmasters does not even own tow trucks and is definitely a scam. Don't give them your money!!! read more

I called to ask for a tow for my son who was stranded and the price was OUTRAGES but they said 30-60 minutes Since it was late at night I went with them. 30 minutes later they call my son and say it'll be 30-60 minutes from the time now. Over 1 hour later still not there so I call and they put me on hold and said the driver was almost there and would call my son in 4 min. 30 min later still nothing I call back and he told me again he's almost there I said the driver lied to u because you told me that 30 minutes ago. After a lot of calls back and forth even with the driver who continued lying to me saying he was almost there it ended up being over three hours to get their "30 to 60 minute" tow. All I can say is lies lies lies they're nothing but a bunch of liars and way overpriced. I did ask to get a manager's phone number because I thought this was very unacceptable and they never would give me one. Do NOT go with this company. They don't care about you. BEWARE OF THIS COMANY!!! THEY ARE SCAMMERS!!! Only one star because I can't give 0! These guys paid to have their ad/link come up first in google to make is look like they are local. They claim to have someone available within 30 minutes but it took 2 1/2 hours. I had to use my creidt card to authorize payment (thank God I didn't use my debit card). I authorized the "one time" payment of $275. When the local tow truck finally showed up the driver did warn me that his company doesn't trust the call center that routed him to me. When all was said and done, we didn't actually need to me towed. The driver got us started with a battery charger so that we could get to the mechanic and get a new battery. The Roadmaster Towing LLC company has since made two unauthorized charges to my credit card! An additional $115 & $122. When I called they quoted mileage and labor, which was not discussed in advance and DID NOT TAKE PLACE! They tried to place the blame on the local company but I spoke with them and they did not authorize any additional charges either. I have called Roadmaster Towing LLC several times to try and talk with them about the charges. They have hung up on me multiple tiimes now and don't seem to want to answer any more question. We have reported them to our credit card company and had to freeze the card. Take my advice, DO NOT use these guys. Called them because they guarantee 30 minutes or less. It took 30 minutes to answer all their questions and agree to $170 battery jump charge. They called.me back about 30 minutes later and said their driver was held and it would be another hour. I told them I would call someone else and they told me that there were no refunds and I would be charged anyway. I called.my daughter at work and she drove over so.i could jump my car. We got it running and I called them back out I f courtesy to make sure the driver was not.coming. the dispatcher was rude and minded me that he was on his way anyway and that I would still be charged for no service. Completely dissatisfied with their 30 minute time guarantee, the dispatchers attitude and overall experience. Don't use this company, they are scammers. I'm pretty sure there are like 5 people in this place because every time I called I was sent to the same people and nobody had any logistical answers to the problems that were created. I was frequently overcharged, given new wait after wait time, and bounced around from caller to caller just to be lied to and then made to seem like the bad guy when I asked questions about the service... which wasn't being provided. ASKED FOR A REFUND MULTIPLE TIMES AND THEY MADE IT SEEM LIKE I WAS ASKING FOR THEIR RESIGNATION THE WAY THEY WOULDNT LET IT HAPPEN. I'm pretty sure both the callers and the towers are all in on the sham. It's unfortunate the lack of work competence and professionalism this place has. This place is as bad as everyone is saying. My insurance company called them. I got an ETA saying they would be here in 60 - 90 minutes. 4 hours later, they still hadn't arrived. I called them to see if they were on their way, because the car needed to be at the body shop before they closed. The person who answered had a horrible disposition. It's the kind of place that just gruffly answers "hello", instead of "this is [name of business], I'm [name of employee], how can I help you?".
