I have already spent hours coordinating between MLF, the pharmacy and insurance. MLF forgot to order half of my stim medications, twice - what in the world???! Once, they straight up forgot and once, it got fallen through the cracks. This is unacceptable and all they could do is say they will have a serious conversation with the nurse who made this error. I had to already correct them with when my baseline monitoring appt should've been scheduled. Definitely feel like just a number due to the lack of communication, transparency and coordination. I have so many friends who did IVF nationwide and none of their practices acted like this. The prelude app is atrocious. You can't even see the full messages in the messaging portal, which is also super frustrating. You can't even attach attachments in a message. Feels like you have to fend for yourself, educate yourself and be your own advocate. The fact that they can't provide any itemized financial estimates for an investment like IVF, is mind blowing. I hope to have a better experience as we continue with our cycle so I can come back to this review and add some positive aspects of MLF.

I'm so shocked by the reviews, I was compelled to write my own…read more I established myself at the practice after I got married/moved locally and was pregnant 2ish months later. I called immediately upon a (surprising) positive pregnancy test because I was on medication I was told not to take pregnant and I was panicking. The nurse for all pregnant patients called me back within 10 minutes explaining the medication was only harmful in the second trimester and I was safe. She then set up my first appointment for 8-10 weeks and gave me a quick rundown of what to expect. I was considered high risk, so I had monthly ultrasound, then twice a week non stress tests and weekly ultrasounds in my third trimester. Point is, I basically lived there. I joked with the staff whenever I walked in. I truly enjoyed my time with the ultrasound techs and the NST nurse, they were nothing but calming and informative. I met 5/6 delivering doctors at my appointments, 1/6 delivered my son and she was phenomenal. Second pregnancy is coming to an end and honestly, I go to my appointments happy and leave happy. Have I waited a long time for an appointment once? Sure. Has everyone always jumped up and down to greet me? No. But when you're there over 30 times in less than 3 years and can easily give a 5 star review because you're able to judge them as a whole rather than someone's bad day, it's worth writing. (As for the review giving one star because of political tv, they turn the view to hgtv when it comes on every time I'm there ;-) )

I'm deeply frustrated with this clinic and I'm so glad I switched. First off, they told me that…read morethey don't take my insurance and I had to pay out of pocket. That's fine, not everyone is in network, but the way they said it made me think that I have zero fertility coverage, not just that they specifically aren't covered (the clinic I switched to DOES accept my insurance). I should have checked with my insurance but they definitely should have been more clear. Anyway, so every time I had an appointment I checked out at the front desk and asked what we owe. My intention was to pay out of pocket as we went, every single time. Yet after my first and only failed IUI, we were told we had a surprise $700 bill. I repeatedly asked to speak with the finance team that never called me back. Also, after the failed IUI, I didn't get a SINGLE phone call or message in the portal indicating sympathy. Nothing whatsoever, just something to the effect of "let us know when you want to come in again". We pay thousands of dollars out of pocket and you can't leave one voicemail saying we're so sorry this didn't work? Nothing?! And instead just "hey you owe us another $700" I'll leave a single star because their front desk person seemed nice.

Dr. Gocial was very professional and helpful, but the clinic lies and is unethical in its billing…read morepractices. Regardless of what they tell you you will owe or what is covered by insurance, do not believe them. Get absolutely everything pre approved in writing down to individual tests and visits even when they tell you they are covered because they will fall back on a general waiver they force you to sign at the beginning. They take no responsibility in providing accurate cost estimates and will absolutely blame you for their lies. We were told that we would have no costs for a given cycle and even with insurance coverage for the procedure, they claimed that we should have known that they were not contracted by the insurance provider for the specific treatment. When we asked for the contract details, which would have been the only way to know this in advance and determine that their guidance was wrong, they refused and said it was private. So their position is that even if they tell us something wrong and provide a service they are not contracted to provide, it is on us to know the truth they refuse to disclose and because we signed a waiver, they can charge us anything they want. Do not go to this clinic. If you do, don't trust any numbers they say or quote. And get ready for the most irresponsible and unprofessional example of exploiting patients.

I had a very intense and fast labor and they were with me every step of the way. My first birth experience was very long and horrible in a hospital setting. Throughout my journey I appreciated their patient education, empowerment, and support so I could make informed decisions about my care. I like that my prenatal visits were longer than I could expect with an ob and that they provided a binder for me to bring with assigned homework each visit. Rather than having a "birth plan" (because they usually don't go as planned anyway) we were encouraged to think about our hopes and dreams. Everyone I've met here from the nurse midwives, nurse practitioners, lactation consultants, the clinical director, etc. have all been wonderful to me and if I could do it all over again I would have become a patient here sooner. I had many questions along the way so I'm going to be detailed here so others may know what to expect. Before you can become a patient here you have to attend a seminar to learn more about their midwifery model of care, the differences between a birth in their suites vs. at Bryn Mawr Hospital nearby (you can plan to deliver there or there may be reasons you are transferred there the day of, the nurse midwife on call has the clearance to deliver there), postpartum care, and next steps to become a patient. After attending the seminar, I had to sign a medical release forms to have my records transferred from my previous provider before I could schedule any appointments. They have two locations (Bryn Mawr and South Philly) and prenatal visits could be with the same provider or different providers. The first prenatal visit is longer and billed separately while the rest of the appointments are billed to insurance together under their global plan after delivery (not after each appointment). During my regular prenatal visits they measured my fundal height and would feel my bump for the baby's position while estimating weight (they were pretty good at that)! I had to pay for lab tests and non-stress tests separately. While I had to do my formal ultrasounds elsewhere, they had the equipment to do informal ultrasounds just to check on the health of the baby and seemed to be training their staff to do these more. I was required to schedule several classes to prepare for childbirth (series of 4 classes), about lactation essentials, and about navigating your first days at home after birth. The instructors really encourage asking questions and participation, so it was helpful to have this intimate space for that. The dates and cost of these classes are available on their site but you can't schedule them until you're confirmed as a patient. After your delivery they will follow up with you (home visit if you delivered at the birth center or phone call if you delivered at the hospital). There will be a 6-weeks postpartum visit to examine you and make sure your body is recovering but also to check on your mental health (so necessary and important)! They also have weekly lactation support and new parent support groups that were happening on Zoom, I think they are also now offering in-person options too. I could tell from the session I went to that the other families really found this space helpful and were wanting to offer encouragement to newer parents like me while sharing about their knowledge/experience. Cara, one of the lactation consultants, facilitates the virtual groups and is amazing! I hope all this information helps anyone who is considering becoming a Lifecycle patient because the last thing a pregnant woman should have to worry about is the quality of care she is receiving.

I had one virtual appointment and one in-person appointment. At the in-person appointment I found out all of the tests were scheduled separately so I had an ultrasound and blood work taken that day. I was told to come back two more days that week for more tests. Nothing seemed unusual but as I was leaving the parking lot, a complete stranger from Sincera called to tell me the office was closing right after my tests were complete, basically in a few days. NOT ONE PERSON in the office mentioned they were closing just after my tests and I'd have to drive MORE THAN AN HOUR for future appointments. I wasn't sure if the call was true as the Sincera rep seemed to be soliciting me to come see him at a different office over an hour away (King of Prussia). I turned my car around to ask the staff and Dr. Cohen, who I knew and had just had an appointment with, if this was true. They confirmed it was. The man who called me was the head doctor for Sincera, Steve Somkuti. Why didn't they tell more they were closing this practice me before my appointments and tests? Tests I will have to pay to have done again elsewhere since every clinic only wants their own tests. Completely deceptive, unprofessional, and unethical. I NEVER would have gone to them if I knew they were closing that office and they had a right to disclose this to me BEFORE testing me and charging me. When I asked for them to refund my co-pays, due to their poor, unethical and deceptive handling of my situation, I had to wait three weeks for them to 'push it up the ladder' only to be told they legally 'couldn't' (more like simply wouldn't) refund me since they rendered services. Services I will need done elsewhere since I won't be driving over an hour for their services and for tests which will now cost me again to run. What a terrible waste of money and time. And they the representative I was working with to see if I could get a refund from told me they were 'sorry I feel a moral obligation' to leave reviews to warn others. Unbelievable. You've been warned! RUN!!!!!!
