Billings Outback Septic - Another BAT tank

Billings Outback septic was amazing! And I dont say that often. The group that installed my…read moremound system retired so I needed to find someone. The pump that sends the "material" to the next chamber was on and running and staying on. The only other person that had to service it when a squirrel chewed through the wire was also retired. I learned then how easy it is to say a system needs to be pumped when it doesn't or say you need the whole new pump (a $2k repair just for the pump) when you only have a cut wire) so I was dreading this. On top of that everyone was telling me it would be a week to get out here. Tha'ts a long time when you cant flush or run water. He came the very next day. Said hed squeeze me in by 3pm. He was here and gone by 1pm. My pump needed a new valve. He left and texted later saying he'd email the bill. He charged me less than most people wanted for the house call! A lot of companies the first thing out of their mouth was the service fee which ranged from $50 to $400! This was a blessing for my family. He could have so easily charged me for a pumping but told me honestly, I didnt need it or to replace the pump but he repaired it. He was fast, dependable and fair. You cant ask a business for anymore than that. I absolutely cant think of one thing they could have done to make the service better. Oh and did I mention it was 100* and my tank is in the sun. Thanks Greg.

In late July / August of 2013, we started to occasionally smell the septic system while we were sitting on our screened in porch. I called Beall & Sons to request that they come by and take a look at the system, as I was concerned that something was not operating properly. This wasnt an emergency call, so they assured me that they would be out within a week or so to take a look. Initially, they thought it was a tightness/sealant issue on the tank lid (if I remember correctly), so they made a quick fix. However, we had the same *lovely* smell while out on the porch that following week. I called Beall & Sons back and the team came back out pretty quickly after that. They did a more intrusive look at the system and determined that the NEW tank (purchased by the seller) had cracked/failed - an issue they had not experienced before with this same manufacturer (that they had used time and time again). To make a long story short -- the company took care of the problem, including (1) going back and forth with the manufacturer to approve a modified installation (pouring concrete base to stabilize the bottom) so that the new tank would remain under warranty; and (2) replacing the tank under warranty for BOTH parts AND labor. The warranty only officially included the parts (the tank), but they stood by the quality of their work, and provided the labor/all services related to this issue (failure of tank due to manufacturer defect) at no additional fee. I'm very pleased with the support that we received from this local company in dealing with this issue, and will definitely be using them again (and recommending them highly).

The Robert F Beall & Sons representative could not fathom how such a phone call could be made.
