BASED ON MY EXPERIENCE, "DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY"!!!!!!!!!!!…read more Subject: REFRIGERATOR REPAIR The technician came out on September 21st, diagnosed the issue, and gave me an estimate of $915.20 to fix my refrigerator. I asked if it was worth it and whether this would be the only repair needed, becuase I don't want to spend this money when I could put it toward a new refrigerator, or if I should buy a new refrigerator. He advised that it was in my best interest to fix it and that it would be restored like new. He assured me I would not have any problems after this repair. He said I have a 90-day guarantee; if anything goes wrong, they honor their commitment to the diagnosis and repair. I paid the $915.20 and even gave the technician a $50.00 gratuity. I called Appliance Doctor today, November 2nd. I explained that the freezer went up to 30 degrees yesterday; the food in my freezer had melted; and I have it set at the recommended temperature of 0 degrees. In a very arrogant tone, he told me I would have to pay more because something else was probably wrong with the refrigerator. I said, "I went with your technician's diagnosis; now you want me to pay more." You need to send him out to see what the problem is before asking me for more money. He refused to send the technician out unless I agreed to pay more money. He got into a shouting match with me; the call was terminated. I kept asking for an invoice for the repair performed and payment. I still have not received the paid invoice. I never expected to be treated this unprofessionally; it is extremely disappointing. I chose the wrong company for the repair. DO NOT MAKE THE SAME MISTAKE AS I DID. Anthony G. Apollo Beach, FL Email: galluzzi9@gmail.com

When Eric initially called he explained how to go through diagnostic procedures that could very well take care of my problem totally free of charge. Sadly, this didn't fix the problem but gave Eric enough information to follow through with even more free advice. He actually came to our house to verify that I had done all I could. While he offered to find the parts & fix the Samsung washer, he indicated that this would not be my best option moving forward due to prohibitive part costs & other related concerns. He took the time to research an identical model (mine was a custom color) which would get me back online, but would still leave me with a unit that is prone to problems. So, Eric & Freedom Appliance could have easily talked me into a costly repair but instead gave me good advice (in my own home) where they didn't make a dime. In that I had already had problems with my Samsung dryer & any replacement other than an identical washer would not match, Eric suggested appliances that he knew would hold up, which again, he didn't make a dime on. He even suggested that I get full warranties on my new appliances, once more, leaving him with no option to make a dime on me. I offered to pay for a service call but he declined. This was the BEST customer service I have ever experienced. While I don't look forward to any further appliance issues, Freedom Appliance will always be my first call if I am in a bind. Thank you Eric & Freedom Appliance! You're the greatest!!!

Parts were ordered he returned to install them a few days later. But the machine still leaked. I pointed out that I had replaced the lower door seal. He inspected and adjusted that seal and the machine stopped leaking. A few weeks later, it started to leak again. He returned and reinspecting the machine, pointed out that it was generating bubbles. We apparently have been getting had or manual dish soap into the machine when we load dirty dishes that have been sitting in the sink for a while. We will modify our behavior and we have learned some tricks for dealing with this issue if it happens again. Bottom line, we have our dishwasher working again, the repairman was very polite and diligent, and we were not charged for follow-up visits. We would use this company again.

Julia scheduled an appointment for the next morning. Andrew, the technician, arrived on time the next day. He spent approximately 1 hour diagnosing and determined the timer was defective and provided a quote for $290.00 to do the repair. After giving me the quote he informed me he didn't have the part needed and would have to order the part (which he said would take a few days ) and he would return and perform the repair. I googled the timer part needed and ordered it which arrived the next day. It only took 10 minutes to install and cost $45. I was confident this would rectify the problem but it did not. I called GE and told them the timer was bad and they quoted me $410 to do the repair with a 1 year warranty. As we are retired and living on a fixed income I decided to attempt troubleshooting the issue myself with the assistance of a YouTube video for my exact appliance. The first step was to test the dryer timer which took about 10 minutes to determine it was functioning properly and an hour to test all other electrical components which led to a faulty dryer operating thermostat. Ordered it on Amazon for $14 and installed it the next day. Dryer is working perfectly and the timer which was diagnosed as faulty works perfectly on all settings. I reached out to the company to request a refund of the $79 and was informed they would not refund as I didn't authorize them to do the repair and they could not verify my findings. If you have appliances issues I unfortunately cannot recommend this company.
