I saw some of their food posts on Instagram and was excited to try them out, but despite my best efforts, that hasn't happened. I've tried coming to this place 3x... The first time (a Saturday) they were closed for a wedding - no notice was posted on their social media. The second time (a Tuesday) they were just closed. We went twice in the same week before the cub games, two different waitresses but the same great service, attitudes and meals. From giant pretzel (with cheese sauce dip and stone ground mustard) to their Southwest Burger done to perfection, Rizzo's is definitely should be your choice for eats and great drinks before the Cub games. Right across the street couldn't be closer but no need to rush as service great here and stay on top of it to make sure your your full and hydrated and on time leaving. Great ambiance, tv's and just the place to be on summer afternoon or evening. Will definitely be back and highly recommend it to all. Best place for before and after a Cubs game. The Bloody Mary was on point (it has bacon in it). The guacamole was surprisingly stellar and they have real pico, not fake mainstream salsa. The open patio area is beyond lovely and catches a nice breeze. Service can be a little slow on game days, but service is slow everywhere on game days. read more

Rizzos is the place to go on a cubs game day. The vibe is fun and the food is great. So many options to choose from and they have some decent brunch specials. I often go for the sliders here from their starters menu and they never disappoint. Try and make a reservation so you can get a seat in their patio area. read more

Coming in on a Saturday evening when most area restaurants are closed, it's busy but not packed. Service is incredibly slow. It took 20 minutes to get a drink... shouldn't take do long considering that is where you make the most $$, especially during off season. I brought my 6YO niece here for lunch after the Christkindl market at Wrigley. The menu boasts that it has family recipes, but it is simply another bar with bar food. The kids menu is $9 per plate and doesn't include a drink. She ordered the grilled cheese, I asked the waitress why the grilled cheese on the adult menu was also $9 and had bacon, different cheeses, etc. and she said "oh I don't know, that's weird." We got 2 white pieces of bread with a slice of american cheese in between and a smaller portion of french fries. Nothing special and won't be back. Nice ambiance for Christmas however. read more

I was here over a month ago it wasn't all that. Some jazzed up bar food with no flavor and didn't have a few a items that I asked for. Gave it another try today before the game and it was like night a day. We had the trash can nachos with steak (the cheese sauce was on point and the steak was seasoned great, I could tell they used skirt steak) was hesitant to try the guacamole because Big Star is right next door. Took a chance and it was awesome nice portion for $9 and it had some chunks of avocado, some places use that stuff out of a bag. My friends all had the same reaction as I we enjoyed the atmosphere and food drinks weren't to bad and service is what you expected on game day insane. I'd definitely go back. Visited Rizzo's the weekend before Christmas with my wife during our staycation and the experience was phenomenal to say the least! Their Covid protocols made us feel comfortable, the food and drinks were fantastic and Eddie and his team were extremely hospitable. Also, the Christmas decor was awesome! Let me just start by saying I've never had an experience that made me feel the need to become a Yelp reviewer quite like this one. I can't speak for how it is here in the summer, but during the off-season avoid it like the plague. My family decided to eat at Rizzos after we looked at pictures that made it look very new, modern, and fun, and that the menu had wings that we had a taste for over Big Star tacos. I made reservations through email, which I had to wait for a confirmation. When we showed up on Friday night, we were the only people in the place. For being right on Clark in Wrigley at 7pm, it's not a good sign to start with. We waited for our server for quite some time before he took our drink orders. It then took a while before he asked if we wanted food, to which it was very disappointing to find out that they were out of chicken wings (?). The menu was small, so we made due with what we could. After ordering food it was almost 40 minutes before we received it. We were not asked if we wanted another drink. We had to get up and find our server multiple times to ask for our appetizer( Loaded Tots That were cold and topped with unappetizing chili and cheese), for utensils, plates, and condiments. Our food was out sitting as we had to wait for him to bring us the stuff we needed. Not to mention that entire time, my sister did not have her food. After finding our server behind the bar, he said that he forgot to put her order in. We were already finished with our food(still no new drinks-had to return other food to the back that was wrong,etc) by the time she got her food. The server did comp us some drinks, but this was just overall miserable. The food was not good and the service was even worse. No wonder the place was a ghost town. There is no way it will last much longer if this is the way the establishment is ran. What a shame- do not recommend! read more

This took alot for me to write, as I am not that critical. Service is bad! Over summer we were here for a corporate outing, & would have spent so much more money but couldn't get waited on. Mentioned it to manager and he shrugged his shoulders and said 'sorry you feel that way'. It wasn't even busy! Been here a couple times in the off season and food is terrible, literally inedible-cold chili smelled like dog food and soup was questionable and also cold. I went to Rizzo bar for the Halloween event and the drinks were pretty good. When it came down to the music it was pretty ass. The DJ that nice was play terrible mixes. A very sad incident happened that one of my friend couldn't even use the mens bathroom in peace without getting harassed and then kicked out. My friend couldn't even use the bathroom BECAUSE HES GAY. My friend looked amazing that night and wore a cute angel costume and the guy that's in the bathroom that helps the dudes out harassed him to get out the bathroom. A complete homophobe! It was so rude and sad. He went to the ladies bathroom asking a few girls if he was able to use the bathroom since he clearly couldn't go into the mens. The girls allowed him to go with them and use the ladies room. Then security came and start to yell at him because he was using the girls bathroom and kicked him out of the ladies room too! Lucky he was about to finish and actually use the bathroom but that shit is ridiculous and sad who ever is working in the mens bathroom need to get fired and rot in hell because that is so sad. The fact that RIZZO BAR is near boys town gives this man no right to kick GAY MEN out the bathroom. The man just need to take a piss tf does that have to do with being GAY?? Went to Rizzo's 12/6/19 because I heard the entertainer John Vincent left Ditka's Restaurant and was performing at Rizzo's for 9 shows in December. All I can say is WOW! The place was amazing, the show was fantastic & sold out and all the employees treated everyone in my party great. The owner even came by and thanked us for coming by. Very respectful. We cant wait to go back to this fine establishment. I hope they hire John Vincent full time. One of the best entertainers in Chicago. read more

My husband threw me a surprise birthday party at Rizzo's Bar and Inn last night and it was even better than I could have ever expected! The space itself is beautiful and they were able to accommodate 60 guests with ease in our own private section. The staff at Rizzo's made planning the party a breeze and all my guests were raving about how great the food was. Eddie at Rizzos- was extremely accommodating with our outing. The food was great and the overall accommodations were amazing. The bar tenders were friendly and it was easy to grab a drink. We went there with a group of people from Indianapolis, it was our 1st time seeing a cubs game in person. The service and our waitress was not good. As a group of 23 we did not all arrive at the same time. However several of us ordered different foods and spirits. We were not told in the beginning that it all had to be on one ticket, therefore we did not prepare. A few people did not receive their food at all. And to top it all off the waitress said that she hated dealing with our people. So when we asked her what she meant by that, she just cursed and walked off. I would hate to think of the bar as that way, but I can only go by how I was treated. I was looking forward to partying there often because my son and daughter recently moved to chicago. Went here across from Wrigley Field during Cubs home game in progress so the restaurant was not busy & waitress, Alexandria, was slow to arrive at our table & slow to attend to us throughout our visit, in addition to cocktails, ordered guacamole & chips & while the chips were abundant, the guacamole was hardly proportionate. Asked if more guacamole cost extra & didn't get an affirmative yes or no, more guacamole never showed up & we ordered a second cocktail that took forever. Finally after a long time the waitress asked if we ever got the additional guacamole & we said no but because we were ready to leave at that point, we declined more. We realize this is not a big deal in the scheme of things, but come in, where was the customer service component? Well, it showed up in her tip as we hesitatingly left 10%, while we typically leave 20% plus as our son is a waiter/bartender. Sure this didn't totally kill Alexandria's tip out for the night, but too bad customers who are out for a leisure day of entertainment have to put up with this outright lack of service. We'll try another place next time we're by Cubs park! The management should promote some basic customer service training with staff! read more
