When we arrived, instead of a physical or electronic ticket, there was simply a checklist of those that were attending. We were seeing a small group from the Lansing Symphony that consisted of harp, viola, flute and percussion. They played a variety of pieces which showcased their talent and instruments. I would highly recommend attending a performance here. Live music is such a treat.

They have some meteorite samples you can touch, and this super cool dark room that has artwork of the planets from the point of view of their moons. They also have some coloring activities for young children. It only takes about 20 minutes to see the whole thing, but it's a cool experience.

My 3.5 year old was engrossed, and the student hosting the hour long program was excellent at engaging the kids and introducing constellations. The seating was about 3/4's full, but it didn't feel crowded or chaotic when waiting in the lobby. Seats and facilities were very clean, including the restrooms. The lobby has several simple exhibits that occupied all of the kids while waiting for the show to open. I'm not a planetarium snob, I just love the family friendly pricing, and will definitely come back to learn more alongside my son. Good honest fun.
