The day before my wedding, I was told that Ava's hadn't been able to ship my flowers due to an error on their end. I was devastated and panicked! My mother, sister, bridesmaid, and I found a local florist shop near the Drury Plaza we were staying at. We walked in with little hopes - looking at the available flowers trying to see what we could work with. When the store owner greeted us, I think we all kind of rolled our eyes due to the recent bad experience we had. I didn't want to have to shell out another $300+ for saying the word "wedding" when we only had a day to prepare anything. At this point we had debated going to Walmart because the venue I was getting married at only allowed live flowers. I'm not going to lie - all but my bridesmaid were a little short and anxious about what to expect. We told him straight up that we couldn't afford to pay outlandish prices for something that wasn't worth the cost. My bridesmaid reeled us back to reality, and the very patient store owner walked us through everything and what to expect. He was able to assure us that our flowers would be done, and that they would look beautiful and match our winter theme. Reviewer. He made magic happen, and the bouquets and boutonnieres were simply beautiful. He called other shops to see what flowers they had in stock. The horrible experience I had at Ava's was wiped away when I saw how hard this person was working for a bride who came in with a cold shoulder. Everyone kept their flowers - and we got a lot of compliments on them! I was amazed at what a one-day, very affordable (I think it was $100-$150 for a bridal bouquet, 3 bridesmaids bouquets, 3 groomsmen boutonnieres, groomsmen boutonniere, 2 father boutonnieres, and 2 mother corsages) wedding flowers could be! One of the best experiences ordering flowers, I love that I could use their website and then call and speak to a real person to make sure I am ordering exactly what I want. They took the order and delivered it at the exact time I requested the next day. Flowers were beautiful and she loved them. I had used a 1-800 florist before and the flowers came in a box, just not right, they never said some assembly was required! I highly recommend this place and I will use them again. Absolutely 5 Stars deserved! Rick and Kevin (forgive me if I have the names wrong) were so patient with me and professional in our multitude of phone calls. I was trying to send last minute flowers to my sister at her new job for her birthday and had the wrong location. They tried to deliver twice, at my stubborn behest and, after my final discovery of the correct location, delivered them the next day for no extra charge. All I can say is thank you so much - she loved the flowers! It is not often you find genuinely kind folks but the guys at this flower shop certainly are. When I called months ago - early on a Monday morning - explaining we were having a family reunion to honor my parents (Celebration of Lives)...and that my dad had ALWAYS given our Mom assorted gladiolas. I contacted Riverwalk Floral Design "cold turkey" because they were located so close to my wedding venue. In a addition to my bridal bouquet I ordered only a limited amount of flowers due to my strict budget. Despite the budget, and being a stranger from out of town, I felt like I was treated like family. I sent a photo of my dream bouquet to Kevin and he went above and beyond to give me exactly what I wanted (even better, actually). He also did a beautiful job with the boutineers and my daughters' flower girl baskets. Everything was lovelier than anticipated. Very disappointing experience. Ordered deluxe assortment of purple tulips one week before Valentine's Day. I was assured that because I ordered early that the delivery would be in the morning on Valentine's Day. The tulips didn't arrive in the morning. I called the florist to check on the order. Tulips were finally delivered at 2pm. The picture on the website included 20 tulips for the deluxe arrangement plus a ribbon bow. What arrived were only10 tulips and no bow.
