I basically had to find out how to cancel on my own as no representatives will help you. Then after cancellation I kept getting monthly charges. So today I get an email and they say they had another error and they wanted to tell me they were going to charge my account again. They also said the monthly charge will be corrected as well so it looks like they are still charging me monthly too. FREEDOM BOAT CLUB and BRUNSWICK who owns them are awful. It would have been criminal not to put this marina at 5 stars. I bought a sailboat in this marina…read morewith a working engine, 2 weeks after I bought it the engine stopped working (classic). The mechanic I used took forever to fix it but the marina was so nice about everything. They transferred the slip, they checked in on me to see how I was doing, and I when I finally got the engine fixed (almost two moths later) they prorated my stay so I didn't have to pay another full month since I just a week into the next billing. Anytime I had a question they were there, whenever I needed services they were there, it was service with a smile since the day I bought the boat. The only reason I was there so long was because of the mechanic I used for the engine. It was not their mechanic. It's a special engine so it needed a special mechanic. I want to be clear that the work was not being done by the marina. Services are pretty good, they have free electric and water. They'll get you ice, they have pump out and water fill up and they have a full staff working on your boat for almost any type of issue or service. If they don't do it they'll point you in the right direction. I'm glad to leave but sorry this isn't my forever marina, at this point I have been paying for two slips for a couple of months. Heads up, I understand getting out into the bay is trickery if you have a deep draft sailboat.

They also offer boat repairs, dry storage, and have a restaurant and bar on site. Facilities include bathrooms with showers, laundry room, and captains lounge. They do have water and electricity at each dock slip, and offer wi-fi. Overall nice, well kept, clean marina, with several amenities.

The property is pristine, the bathrooms look straight out of a magazine, and the new laundry room is beautiful. But what truly sets it apart is the people. especially by General Manager Meleta , who makes you feel like family from the moment you arrive. For us, this place is an escape. Every visit feels like a vacation. And the sunsets? Honestly, we've been to Key West a lot, and these sunsets beat it. Five stars, no hesitation.

I had a very disappointing experience with Shell Point Marina…read more I specifically chose this marina because they offered engine flushing. When I picked up my boat, I noticed the battery switch had been left on. When I asked about it, I was told they don't turn the battery switch off after flushing because they don't operate the boat during the flushing process. That explanation concerned me because the Mercury owner's manual states that the engine must be running in order to properly flush the cooling system. Based on what I was told by the marina, I don't believe my engine was being flushed according to the manufacturer's procedure. As a result, my battery was completely discharged because the battery switch had been left on. In addition to that, I experienced repeated problems with the fuel dock being unavailable and the entrance gate not working properly. In the end, I lost confidence in leaving my boat there. I paid to terminate my contract early so I could bring my boat home and take care of it myself. Unfortunately, based on my experience, I cannot recommend this marina.

There are 3-4 large pavilions on the beach, along with grills. There are a couple of volleyball courts as well. Showers and restrooms are located near the entrance/exit of the parking lot. A word of caution - there are some sharks in the waters, so you don't want to venture out past the no swimming signs that are clearly posted in the water. Two downsides to this location - there are no waves (I know that's no ones fault!) and the sand/beach area isn't maintained by a staff, so there is grass growing very close to the beach. One could argue that you get that "natural" beach feeling, so to each their own.
