I have owned a few businesses back in my earlier years, and negative reviews are unavoidable. It's…read moreeasier for people to say bad things about you than good things. Sadly, that's human nature. Not MY nature, but the overall nature of the human condition.
I have been going to Hoof & Paw in Belleville for a long time, and they are overwhelmingly busy. Their building is no bigger than a little shack. I have had some very, VERY bad experiences there. Then, my wife found Lashley. I know a good vet when I meet one and experience their service firsthand.
These folks care about what they do, which is caring for my loved one, my friend, my companion. And if they care about HOW they care for my cats and dogs, then they care about the animal they are caring for as an individual being, an individual spirit, not just some warm body that guarantees some green in the cash register. And if they care about my pet, then they care about me. You see? It's called respect, and these folks have it in spades!
The negative reviews are all about impatience, and high costs, long service times, and other nonsensical crap like that. This absurdity sounds like their own maladjustment issues and refracted problems; most definitely NOT ungovernable behavior brought about by Lashley. These so-called patrons are just projecting their own hangups on a business, a good, caring business, mind you, to make themselves feel better about their own miserable lives!
Listen, you negative people: #1. If you don't have patience, then schedule your pet on a day when you have free time for your pet. After all, it's your pet, and your responsibility. #2. Cost? Lashley is just as competitive in cost as any other veterinarian, and much, MUCH less expensive than that ripoff animal hospital in Collinsville. If you don't have the money, then you shouldn't have the pet!!! It's that simple. #3. How long you have to wait for them to spay or neuter or do dental work ... whatever they have to do, YOU are who is to be held accountable for your caring of your pet. You started by doing the right thing and getting your pet to a vet who actually gives a hoot about them. Worrying about your schedule, and other asinine complications when you should be concerned about your pet, no matter the cost, the wait, or the time involved, leaves a lot to be desired concerning your overall moral countenance.
You clowns are showing your true colors! *Cue the circus music* I'm quite surprised I have never seen you there in your big red & yellow clown shoes, your bright red nose, the pasty-white makeup, the mime-like, white-gloved hands, the multi-colored, spotted, one-piece outfit, and all your balloons that you manipulate & twist into makeshift objects & animals.
For the lady who waited 45 minutes in a "hot car" for them to take your puppy in for 10 minutes, here's an idea: Buy a darn car with an air-conditioner, or better yet, go inside and wait in the waiting room, idiot!
In all seriousness and forthrightness, I will never go to Hoof & Paw again. Lashley is now my permanent go-to for all my animals' care! And don't listen to the nay-sayers; they need some serious counseling and therapy.
