Best mechanics around hands down. I usually dealt with Lester up front but the whole staff is great. I had a 16 year old Camry they worked on for years but they were always honest and finally convinced me to get a new car since it was rusting pretty bad starting with the lug nuts being cut with each rotation. But even with oil changes, they choose the best oil for you and don't try to make you come every 3k/3mos like most places. If your into changing tires seasonally they are partnered with Tire Rack for convenient delivery and installation with them. Will probably see them soon again in the Winter time for winter tires or for a really good set of All-Seasons this year. read more

I have been going to Riverside tire and auto for years. I do not trust ANYONE else with my Mercedes Benz. My husband also does not trust ANYONE else with his RAM. Tire installers are not a dime a dozen, but unless you really care about your car, you'd never notice. Take a flat tire. If you ever swapped one out, you get the general idea of getting it patched and re-mounted. You probably got the attempted up sell: "This tire's no good, you need a new one"; or maybe you got the more common over torque of your lugs, so the next time you try to take off that tire, you're standing on a tire iron in the freezing cold wondering how you're gonna get home. There's none of that nonsense at Al's. You want a torque stick used on your tires? No problem. You want your tire patched? No problem, no attempt at replacing a good tire with a small patchable hole. He wants you to come back, each and every time. I bought tires from Tire Rack, drop-shipped to Al's. He had the tires in two days from order, and I had the first appointment the next day. Took a half-hour, during which I went to the post office and got coffee. I mean, you can get stuff done in Belleville. Tires mounted, cost was less than $25 a tire, and in all, a great experience. When it comes to your car, you can easily encounter sleazy types, but I can safely recommend Al's as a great exception to the rule. -C read more

After comparing prices it was suggested that I buy online and instead of having purchased it at the store. Moreover the tire I selected was not accurate and a much more cost effective solution was recommended!!! If you are anywhere near this place USE THEM!! My car overheated in the morning and i was alone and already tried to put fluid into my car. When that didn't work I was in a complete panic. I asked SIri for a near by shop and she took me here. These men were fantastic. There calmed me down and looked at my car. They didn't take advantage of the fact that I have NO car knowledge. They were more then willing to talk to my father as well as give me option of taking my car somewhere closer to were I was working. They knew that I was from out of town and they fixed my car that day and called a taxi so that I could get to work. I HIGHLY recommend these people. It really means a lot when I get go to a place as a young girl in a complete panic and feel complete comfortable. Great business!! read more

Hidden Gem on Valley Street! Recommended by TireRack and Riverside ROCKS folks!!! Two front tires replaced set me back about $35. So I'm addicted to market research and shopping online. Mi lady Niki K needed some new front tires and TireRack was having a sale #Winning! I picked up two brand new Kumho's for the ride and figured I would get it installed when I got them installed. Upon checkout TireRack provided two options. 1. Ship to home 2. Ship to installer Of course I played around with the figures and sending directly to the installer was the perfect option and it would get there next day! Next day arrived, I call up Riverside as this was my virgin first experience and Lester walked me thru the entire process. Lester is awesome! He rocks and even did his best to get me added to schedule same day as the holiday weekend was approaching. About two three hours later I called for an update and was told I can come in now. 10-15 minutes I'm literally in and out, new tires, smooth ride and prepping for my July 4th holiday weekend. By winter I will need new tires for my ride and I WILL return to Riverside. Give them a try, they offer multiple mechanic services and labor rate is $85 per hour. Enjoy read more

Riverside was recommended to me through A friend, There very nice, They helped me out w/ A few minor repairs & didn't even charge me. I went back for breaks, roders & both hub bearings & was quoted A fair price, other places I called quoted me A price 200$ higher than Riverside, I have A 2009 Toyota Camry & have quit A few miles on it since I use my car for work. I found this place via tire rack when I needed a recommendation to have my tires installed. That was 7 years ago and I've gone here for all my auto service ever since. They give excellent customer service , Lester & Pam at the front desk are the best I've ever dealt with. Their mechanics are top notch and never try to up sell you for more than is needed. I travel 45 minutes to have my cars serviced here in Belleville because they are that good! Every time I go here I am amazed. Tire light on my car goes on... call for an appointment, bring it in... they check it.. just low... fill it up, no charge! I seem to do this every time winter is coming. When we have more serious issues, the prices are low, the work is done quick, and the staff is always cheerful. They let us know we should get our front tires replaced, and the breaks replaced before winter. I am going to call them now to have them order the parts, so I can bring my car in. read more

I ordered tires from them directly. I had picked them out on Tire Rack already. Taking into consideration the shipping the price was comparable. They installed them fine but they didn't clean off the white gunk they used to slip the tires onto the rim. A few days later my air pressure sensor went on and I noticed my new tires we're leaking air. I brought the car back and they said one of the sensors was leaking. Funny they were working just fine before the tires were changed. They charged me $100 or so to change the sensor they damaged while changing the tires. To this date the air pressure light was still on until I brought it to the dealer to fix it. Turns out they never properly calibrated the new sensor. They just reset it. This place is sloppy and I would not recommend it. read more

I ordered 4 tires from tire-Rack and had them delivered here. They called the same day the order arrived to schedule installation. They installed for about $10/tire plus tax which I think is reasonable as I had seen $12-$15/tire. I was late to the install but they got me out of there before they said they would. The service was amazing and the staff very very very friendly. They know tires and even before ordering from Tire-Rack, I called them for a general tire question. Lester answered my question with a smile (I didnt know if he actually had a smile b/c I was on the phone but he sounded happy. LOL). This place is a great little hidden spot (right along the train tracks. LOL) where people truly care. Will definitely go here again (if my flat allows me to drive there safely. LOL). read more

I had them install tires I bought at Tire Rack online (they can be shipped directly there). They were reasonably quick, easy to reach, courteous, and did a good job. Their prices are very good, although a local mechanic might be able to mount/balance a set of tires cheaper. They'll also rotate your tires for free while you own the tires/car, as well as try to price match mail-order tire places. read more

My tire light was on so I brought it here to check if there was a slow leak. They took it right in and determined it couldn't be patched. They were able to work with the tire coverage I have through my dealership and got a new tire in for me within hours. Everyone was so helpful and friendly, especially Lester at the front desk. Had tires I bought online from Tire-Rack installed here. They did a good job installing them, but they didn't call me to let me know the car was ready like I asked. Also the new tires were scuffed/dirty, from shipping I guess, they could have wiped them off with a rag. Two admittedly minor complaints. I'd been having tire pressure issues the last few days and was super stressed since I'm in the middle of a 6 day work week that requires me to drive 80 miles each day. Believe all the hype. This place deserves the five stars it has gotten from others. It's rare to find a business that values customers over profits, but Riverside has found the formula for that delicate balance. From the time I called to make an appointment to actually getting my car back, I felt like I was a human being. Often times in today's society people in the service industry view customers as a burden or worse just a number. But it couldn't be farther from the opposite at Riverside. I could tell that Lester, the manager, wanted me to come in and did not mind squeezing me in for a quick repair. I walked in to a small, humble office and chatted with the man who was as much of a car aficionado as I am. Before I knew I had found a new service center to bring all my car needs to. Riverside is a "full-service" center meaning they can do anything and everything for you. With a great attitude and absolute concern for customers, it's no wonder that this business has so many repeat patrons.
