This is a shop that displays a number of different artists' items in their different mediums. There is pottery, pillows, wood ornaments, and more to purchase for yourself or as a unique, quality gift. The studio is located in Historic Truckee right next to all the other boutique shops, souvenir shops, and dining and drink options. My main purpose in going there was to see the work of Alanna Hughes , which I follow on Instagram. Her pottery is minimalist yet so beautiful. It has many element of nature and such fine craftswomanship. Her work was just as great in person and it was also neat to be introduced to the products of the other artists in the studio. If you are in the area, you should stop in and check out the work and support their local artists! read more

A gallery with a unique assortment of items from local artists. Prices range from the cheap ($5 for a cool refrigerator magnet) to several hundred or low thousands for art. An eclectic assortment of stuff. It's a great place. We've purchased many items there over the years. read more

Riverside Studios is a very handsome and welcoming 2 story space, now located on the main Truckee commercial strip. I was particularly taken with the leather accessories selection and how the various artistic pieces are displayed. There is also a nice selection of ceramics, women's clothing and jewelry. read more

I love art and handicrafts, and this store has all kinds of cool ceramics, glassware, leather goods, paintings, jewelry, etc. Some are priced in the luxury bracket while others are quite affordable (under $50). Sometimes you walk out of these galleries and think maliciously, "I can do that" under your breath, but all the stuff here is pretty much one of a kind. And once nice thing - not too much Tahoe overload! Staff is happy to answer questions. I have walked out with beautiful stationary and small artwork in the past. read more

This is a working artists studio. The artists are there frequently and enjoy talking about their work. I am particularly drawn to the leather work there--you can get a beautiful and one-of-kind (though many of the styles are practical and classic) leather tote bag, purse, or wallet. This place is not overpriced at all, in my opinion. read more

These artists are amazing! There are 3 artists that work in the studio...they have jewelry, pottery and leather. They carry other starving artists' lines, too. And support the local art scene with a First Friday. First Friday is July 6 is "Seldom Scene Tahoe." I hope it is art that shows the underbelly of Tahoe...there's gotta be some shadiness about Tahoe, right? :) And they said they have refreshments and adult beverages on hand. 4-8 PM on First Fridays through December in the courtyard...well, at least in the summer it's in their courtyard. Local artist gallery! Such a great selection of unique handmade items. I LOVE the little people made from railroad spikes! They have such character. Really great jewelry that you will not find anywhere else- I have bought my wife many pieces from here. And the pottery- c'mon?! Just picked up a beautiful big serving platter. The best place to buy earrings for me! Actually a great place to buy all sorts of stuff for many people. Everything in the store is hand made locally and believe me, there are very talented artists in Truckee. I can always find several pieces in Riverside Studios that I love. The prices aren't cheap but the artists also need to make a living. Have you ever met a rich artist? Enough said, they aren't raking it in. Need to get your wife a great present? Great selection of arts and crafts done by local artists. Customer service not so great. I took my young son into the store on Saturday and well they weren't very nice. He had $20.00 to buy me a present apparently that wasn't enough to interest the gal who was working that day. She was quite rude. read more

All the things in this shop are made by a real person and I like that. I love that many of the items are made from reclaimed materials. There is some beautiful art work on the second floor. Stunning store with high quality, well made, unique crafts. Iron and metal work pieces such as outdoor garden pieces, or indoor wall art are gorgeous. They have some really wonderful jewelry made by local artists that I bought on a visit fro LA. Lovely gallery, lovely people, on a strip in Truckee that's so darn cute you'll forget that it's a street called Donner Pass, named after the Donner party. Gruesome, if you ask me. One of my most favorite stores! Not only can I always find something I can't seem to live without, it is also my go to store for birthday and holiday shopping. They have such a fun collection of local artist's work. I have also contacted a couple of the owners on several separate occasions and they have designed very specific items handmade just for me. Love this store and love that they always have new and unique items. It is very rare I go in this store and come out empty handed. Best part almost all of it is made locally! Wide selection of handmade crafts. Loved the jewelry in particular and the lady at the desk was very friendly.
