Photography so beautiful that it looks like a painting…read more Although she has done outstanding work all over the world, Elizabeth and her husband, Olof, currently reside in Truckee and have taken some of the most beautiful photographs of the area. I visit a lot of galleries and her work has really stuck with me, even weeks later. First introduced to her work in Yosemite where her two books of photography were sold, it was a pure delight to visit the gallery in Truckee. The Changing Range of Light, Portraits of the Sierra Nevada and Brilliant Waters, with a foreword by Robert Redford, are stunning coffee table books. Her work pays homage to historic photographers of the Sierras, but she uses the latest technology to push the boundaries and create surreal images of the natural beauty of the region. You can purchase her prints on a smaller scale for a reasonable price, or easily spend hundreds or thousands when printed on a large scale if you want a statement piece for your home. Recently awarded the commission to provide panoramic murals of the Sierras for the new Donner Memorial State Park Museum, I am excited that her work will be presented on this larger stage. She is quickly becoming one of the most noted photographers in the area. Located at the end of Commercial Row in downtown Truckee, I consider this gallery a must visit when you are in the area. We had the good fortune of meeting her and I'm looking forward to seeing more of her photography of an area I love dearly in the years to come.

In the interest of responsible art sales, they have a 30-day refund policy and 5-year trade-in policy on much of their collection. This time I returned to purchase a vintage poster for a friend and was happy to see that he still carries the line. They didn't have the particular poster I wanted in stock so he told me it was no problem at all and that he'd contact the artist and have it shipped directly to my home in Oregon.
